Never had a coaster. I always burn at 2.4x with my phillips dual layer burner. Perfect combination. I guess it is true you have to find a match with your burner Great product |

have been using these with my macbook and also a cheap no-name external dvd burner, never had a bad one yet... i'd check the settings and double check the software you are using to make sure that it actually supports +R DL. Sometimes we miss some little detail that will drive us crazy! |

Nothing but coasters. I have an LG GSA-H55N, so if yours is the same, don't waste your money. Will stick with Verbatim. Even though they are a little more expensive, they don't make coasters. |

These work fine for me, (no errors) using both Lite-On and Plextor drives. But you MUST burn at 2.4x, otherwise you'll wind up with coasters. I'd be interested to know if the Phillips product burns at 8x... |

Burning on a Sony DRU 190A. Haven't made a coaster yet. Like other posts here, you have to find a brand that works with your burner. Other brands have not worked as well with my burner as this one has. |

I had only 1 bad disk out of the 50 pack. Maybe others who have had problems with these disks should consider a different burner. I am ordering 50 more today. |

So far 6 out of 6 failed. Definitely a bad batch. I've used this brand before without a single problem (used my last one to check if my burner was bad and it worked). I'll be calling Tiger. I hope that they stand behind their products. |

They work like a charm for my LG multi drive(GSA-4163B) and my Pioneer DVR-109. I have used around 200 of those and get around 1 out of 50 as an error rate. Moreover, the created dual layer DVD's have a better compatibility with standalone dvd players then Philips DL or nobrand disks that I have tried from a variety of stores. YOU HAVE TO MATCH the drive to the disks you use. Example: my LG simply does not burn on Philips DVD's and destroys them one after another. |

Don't waste your time buying these incredibly poor quality disks. In fact, try to avoid the Memorex brand at all costs. |

No problems what so ever. 49 out of 50 good and I burned them all at 8x on my LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1H. I have always believed that there are few bad drives or Media. It's always best to find the best media for your drive. I will be buying more of these discs. |

On my first 50 pack I had 14 discs fail and I have 2 more 50 packs to use and if the failure rate is the same this is a poor product not worth buying! |

I burn around 500 DVDs each month. These DVDs are a waste of money. I've used them a couple of times and I have had about 25 to 50% of them are bad. Sony is the best if you can get them on sale. |

I have used Memorex DL discs before with probably 95% success but the last bunch I got had almost 100% failure. The really irritating part is that nothing seems wrong while you're burning or even when you first start using the disc but then suddenly stops midway through. |

Ordered a 50-pack last Novemeber. Lost maybe 1 due to my error. Ordering another today. So far the only DL media I have ever successfully burned at over 2.4x. Consistently 6-8x burn. Burned media plays reliably everywhere except my (refurbished) Sony Walkman DVD player. |

Bought a 50 pack, had issues in my older burner, which burned 2.4X version just fine, many times over. Bought a new burner, upgraded the software, tried different software. STILL had issues - coasters, issues with playback. Sometimes they'd burn, and sometimes NOT, with duplicate retries - nothing changing. Pinged Memorex tech support. They were supposed to send me a replacement stack of 50 - but they sent me only 15. ????? I don't want replacements. I want media that works 100% of the time. Switching to another brand - no choice. |

Stay away from these DVDs! The manufacturer code is ''RITEK-D01-01'', which is considered ''third-class media'', of VERY questionable quality (check DVD media guide on the digitalfaq.com site). I just wasted my money on these. |

First 10 discs worked then the next 6 discs were all bad (burn fine but don't verify and unreadable in drive/dvd player) I turned the stack over and burnt discs from the bottom the last 3 were fine then 3 more bad burns! I had bought a 25 pack of these once before and they worked fine but this 50 pack was rediculous in how many bad discs it contained. Stay away they are just Ridata/Ritek discs with an ID of: ''RITEK-D01-01'' |

I am not new to burning DVD's I have always used the MEMOREX 2.4 DL for burning, Was excited when the 8x came out.. But I have had only one out of ten burn successfully. Will go back to the 2.4x I don't think this is a problem with all burners. check into compatibility with your burner, before waisting time and money. |

My first attempt failed on my PIONEER DVD+-RW DR-K17Y (a laptop burner) but after a restart I successfully burnt 4 subsequent discs. They all worked fine on both my laptop burner and my desktop LITE-ON DVDRW LH-16W1P. Discs are not compatible with my Phillips DVP642 [divx] dvd player. The media code on my pack is RITEK...S04. |
I have used these in my HP940E external burner at 8x with no problems...
