Memorex 50-Pack, 8.5GB, 8X DVD+R, Double Layer

I love these dual layer discs. 8.5 gigs of space for backing up large files. For really large files/games just rar the files. It's almost as good as a USB key if you want to give it to a friend or backup files permanently. Also the memorex brand name means that there will be fewer (if any) failed writes and the discs will be durable.

Memorex is all i use I have observed since Burnable CD-R and DVD+r and DVD+DL that Memorex disks don't fail as often as cheaper disks

I have not had a problem with Memorex DVD+R so far, (two 50 spindle packs) but I am now leary of their DVD media and will spend the extra for reliable Verbatum. Have never had a problem with Memorex CD's.

This helped me create a 8.5GB video on DVD, which others could not do for some reason, so I'm happy. The USB cable should be longer. I had to prop it up on something to keep it from hanging from my desktop. Great price.

This is a terrible product! Completely worthless! I burned six coasters in a row in each of three burners on two computers -- one running Windows XP (SP3) and the other Vista Home Premium. I tried burning these allegedly 8x discs at 2.4x, hoping to salvage my purchase. No luck. My drives are a Samsung SH-Si82M, A Pioneer BDR - 203, and a Matshita UL - 8605. The latest firmware is installed in the first two and unavailable for the Matshita device. The 8x Memorex disks would not be a bargain even if they were GIVING them away.

I've seen some reviews on this showing bad media. I was worried at first but was set at ease when mine arrived and was burnt through quickly. Not a single bad media error and all discs verified perfectly after each burn.

Purchased for use on my newer HP Laptop. Four out of five disks would not burn. Went through hours of troubleshooting with HP thinking that disk was bad until I purchased Verbatim brand to try which worked flawlessly. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE DISKS.

I've used xxxorex for years. It was usually a good, low cost media, however this product stinks. Out of 30 disks written, 20 received errors and were garbage. A quick call to Imatixx which manufactures Imatixx, xxmorex and several other labels was useless. They'll replace ONLY the defective disks provided you return these defective disks to them. I decided I wasn't going to waste any more time burning discs only to get coasters so threw the entire stack in the garbage where it belongs. I WON'T BUY IMATxxx OR xxxOREX AGAIN. Save your money. Don't buy this garbage.

I bought a package of these and out of the 50 discs 35 of them were bad media. I called the company and complained. They, of course, shined me on and promised to take care of it. It's been a month and NOTHING! I will never use Memorex products again.

I had to upgrade my Lite-on iHAS220 firmware to get the discs to burn correctly. Since the upgrade I've had nothing but good burns. Before you buy make sure the discs are compatible with your burner.

Finished three stacks of 50 (150 discs) and not one bad disc in the bunch. A nice burn for the LightScribe label.

I use a lot of DL DVD's. I have found that these have been the most reliable of all but one brand, Taiyo Yuden. They are hands down the best.

Will not copy. I get a disc error message. -Please eject the disc. - Playback feature may not be available on this disc.

I bought these a few of weeks ago and my burners could not read them. I have some sony and verbatim disc's and they work fine. I called Memorex and sent e mails twice for replacement and they said send them the reciept and they would send me infomation for exchange. Have called them again and sent three e mails and I have not heard from them in almost two weeks about how to get replacements. There support should be called customer no support.
