Good quality

I have used 25 discs out of 50 in past 2 weeks and there is no coaster so far and I am very happy. Only one issue would be that my DVD burner (Sory) can burn this disc with 2.4X speed unlike other 4.7G DVD. |

More errors than I expect from Memorex
Comment:
Maybe it was my fault, and I bumped my desk too hard a few times, but there were a lot more write errors / bad DVDs than I'm accustomed to with Memorex. However, these DVDs do snap apart very nicely when you split them in two...be careful though; I got a nasty gash on my finger doing so. |

Worst DVD+R DL disks
Comment:
I previously purchased a large number of Memorex DL disks, it has been a total waste of my money. If, and I say if you get a good disk, lucky you. I've tried these in 4 different drives, all different makes, and even gave a bundle to a friend for testing, out of the 15 pack, they didn't get 1 to work. I admit I just may have gotten a bad batch, but it was enough to turn me off Memorex forever. |

Quality and Price
Comment:
Excellent product, burn at 8X, no problems, one review lists a lot of disc failures, problem may be in the burner, you can buy an internal DL disc drive for around $30, just replaced all my internal drives, I use Samsung and Sony, never any problems. |

You can't be the price. However I got a few coasters when burning data. Not as good as the more expensive Verbatim. |

Sweet deal soory for those who missed it.
Comment:
Anyone coping movies will know that a normal DVD just can not compress all the data needed. With the proper burning program and the DL DVD your movies just turn out perfect every time. At the sale price these DL DVD's where a steal no matter where you live. I just hope the sale returns soon. As 100 of these sweeties just are not enough. Thankyou again TigerDirect , movie time has never been so good. |

Best For The Price
Comment:
I highly reccomend these Memorex DL+R disc I for one have had no problems with these disk. Only had problem with a lightscribe drive that has more capabilities than my sony drive. Sony Drive has had no problems. Just need a good program to burn files or videos to disk Like IMG Burn. I have tried out other disk from STAPLES and its there name brand and it was $50 for 25 discs and they have a success rate of 40%. Then I found these 100% success rate. Oh yeah I use canned air to blow disks off, any dust particles will screw up a burn. This might be most peoples problems when copying videos or disk and well of course some programs and disk drive make a difference to. |

Work with specific drives, occasional failures
Comment:
These disks give me a 100% success rate with one ASUS DVD-RW/RAM/DL combo drive. Yet I have 100% failure with another ASUS DVD-RW/RAM/DL of just a generation newer. I bought the newest drive to take some load off the aging existing drive. To my dismay, the newest drive will not burn them at all. Yet, again, perfect on the older drive. I love these disks, because the price is right and I have a drive that likes them. If you want these, I suggest buying the smallest quantity you can of them and test them in your drive first. If any work, they generally tend to be good, if ANY fail, they all tend to fail. |

Works perfect
Comment:
I don't know what these people are talking about, I burned at full speed with a 3 year old DVD burner(LG) and never a firmware update. Works every time. Maybe these people are upgrading firmware too much. "If it aint broken don't fix it" |

Maybe 4X, not 8X
Comment:
I have a relatively new HP DVD/DL burner. These disks can be written reliably at 4X speed, but not 8X. It makes a big difference when you are copying several hours of high quality AVI video. At 8X, the read-verify failed every time. At 4X, it passes. |

Works Fine.
Comment:
People always complain about Memorex not working...I have burned like 100 DVD-R's and now a bunch of these DVD+R DL's, and they are all perfect. Even the ones I burned YEARS ago still work. I think people try to burn these suckers too fast. |

So far 0% success rate burning on a 13'' Macbook with an updated DL superdrive. One star because zero is not an option. |

Memorex 50-Pack, 8.5GB, 8X DVD+R, Double Layer
Comment:
Memorex was my choice of DVD media since its successful/errorless rate is the highest among all other brands. But this DOUBLE-LAYER media is not. Its failure rate is about 40% after finished half of it. Very disappointing. |
My wife does a lot of recording and she swears by Memorex. The dual layer allows you to put so much more on each disc. So try it you will like it.
