OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal Compound 3 Gram Tube

This thermal paste is the best I ever bought, I'm talking about the price/performance ratio. It is good as mx-2. I think that it was easier to apply than the new mx-3 because the paste was a bit more resistant. I bought 5 of this and I only used 1/4 of one on a cpu.

It still can't be mx-2 for performance but for the price this stuff rocks. I got it for $2 during a special and I'm still not done using it after using it for 6 times. after factoring in performance, quality, quantity and price, this definitely score a 5 on my scale.

There nothing to say ,but it works and never hardens. Yesterday I opened a computer that I serviced about 2 years ago. The grease was still soft and usable. Being the I.T. I am I still applied new. But try that will Ceramic. Not to mention this is on par with the performance of Artic Silver 5 and wont short out your Motherboard or for that matter what ever you apply it to.

IMO this stuff is the best.It lowers my temps at least a few degrees more than stock supplied thermal paste.There may be slightly better thermal compounds but this one is definitely one of the best and well worth the money.

Enough paste in the tube for extra installs if necessary and seems to do a good job of keeping my components cool. Have no complaints.

Worked fine on my Athalon 64 II cpu idles nice and cool no worries. Enough in the tube for a few applications no worries.

Lowered cpu temps idle 2c and load about 3c. It also says it out performs silver compounds. Also DO NOT spread the same way as other paste put a rice sized drop in the center of what your cooling and use the pressure from the heat sink to spread it out.

smaller amount than the MX-2 i usually get. didn't really compare performance however, but there is no instability which is always a plus.

I put about the size of rice of this stuff on my Intel processor extreem 965... it now runs 15 degrees cooler Celcius.

I had an XFX 9800GT that was running hotter than I'd like it to, 75c at idle, and when it hit 98c during gaming one time that was the last straw. I popped off the stock heatsink and reinstalled it with some of this stuff and was more than impressed by the results. It idles at 60c flat now, a 15c drop in temperature just from switching the thermal compound and over 5c cooler than when it was brand new! This saved me installing an expensive after market cooler on the card. If you've got a hot running video card and are thinking you'll need a cooler for it, try some OCZ Freeze first.

So far I have used this on 3 different computers,and seen a 10-15 degree fh drop in temp even with simple stock heat sinks,the plus I love about it,is that it's non-conductive,so you dont have to cross your fingers and hope it didnt ooze out under the heat sink where you didnt see it and short a connector when you turn it on.Its cheap and it works well,its easy to work with,and it wont short out if you accidentally get it on the board.

Yes it does lower temps but it also nearly glues the fan to the processor!! Ended up ruining my processor trying to seperate the 2

Bought it to replace the original thermal paste on my Artic Cooling Freezer 7it did a better job, some degree less heat... and i use it on my Big Typhoon 2.

After using the white grease, I found this product to be of higher thermal value for normal environments. I reccomend this product.

I had been using the old white silicon grease to mount my heat sinks to the cpu's. Read lots of good reviews about this compound. I'm using it on my quad core processor and there is enough in the tube to mount 3 or 4 cpu's to their heat sinks. More than I'll ever use. I have been running my new system for a month, 24 - 7 and the temp has not veried at all. Would highly recommend!

I used this in redoing the cooling system of my computer. I rerouted my case fans, added a 120mm fan in the front, and used this in place my previous thermal gel. The temperature of my CPU went from 76C at full load to 64C at full load. Idle temps are now 43C instead of 52C.

I used an old credit card to spread the compound onto my x2 4800, it took only a couple of minutes and has been working great for around 2 months now. The tube is still almost full so I imagine I could use it for 3 or 4 more processors. This was the first time I used thermal paste and was worried I might get it on my board, since it was non-conducting I wasn't worried.

Easy to spread, no curing time needed but it does help. Good sized tube and temps drop maybe 1 or 2 degrees, but I like the spreadability and the fact that I do not have to burn-in before returning to normal usage.
