OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- None so far.
Pros:- Fast boot- Programs load quickly- Came with a 3.5" bracket, easy install Comment:
Bought this when it was $99.99 after the MIR. I did have some difficulty getting the SSD to be the master drive and my HDD to be slave drive but it wasn't the fault of the SSD. Now at $79.99, I would highly recommend anyone needing an SSD to get this one! |

Cons:badddddddddddddddddd
Pros:goodddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd Comment:
OCZ Vertex 3 with new firmware is rock solid. Flashed new firmware before installing os. Quick and painless process. Dropped this into 13" MBP (early 2011) and its worked flawlessly. Boots faster, writes faster, reads faster, everything seems to have booster performance. Best upgrade for the $$$. Ignore early reviews which pre-date the newest firmware release, yes there were some issues but now fixed |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Can't be your OS drive if you want to update firmware
Pros:Very Fast, Easy to install, Easy to update as long as it isn't the main drive. Comment:
I have 2 of these drives now, 1 running my OS in my Desktop and the other running the OS in my Alienware M17X. Both machines boot from cold to in windows in around 15 seconds and the OS is smoking fast. I would never go back to an HDD after owning these. Have not had any issues since receiving either drive and look forward to using them for many years. Would buy again easily. |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:There's an even newer one?
Pros:Quieter, slightly faster overall Comment:
Bought this when it was on sale, haven't noticed crazy improvements as some claim. Start-up/shut down is faster, though it never was an issue. Game loading times are improved. Other mundane tasks - Office, web browser, itunes are all relatively the same, or a bit faster. Overall: Yes it's faster, but don't assume everything will become instant. |

Cons:n/a
Pros:Fast, fast, fast Comment:
Great SSD - not the biggest out there but I'm only using it for my OS and a couple of priority games - every thing else goes on teh HDD. Detected by system without issue. Got this for $99 on sale - it can probably be found for even cheaper. Highly recommend this product. |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None
Pros:Excellent speeds and access timesEasy firmware upgrade Comment:
Got it for $80 + $10 rebate, was a steal at that price. If you've been following SSD news, you'll realize that the best options out there are Sandforce drives (such as this one), Crucial M4 or Samsung 830. Although the M4 and 830 seem to get better reviews stability wise, this was a full $40 less, so I took the risk. The only thing I was worried about was the reportedly high percentage of BSODs. However, it looks like the firmware update s have taken care of this problem. Make sure to update the firmware before installation, and tweak your OS (Windows/Linux) for maximum SSD performance and you won't regret this purchase. |

SDD died after three months. Unacceptable imho. When researching my problem discovered it was fairly common. Will try SSD's again, but make sure it's not SandForce based. |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:OCZ - The name of poor quality
Pros:FastCheap Comment:
I got two of these for $69. For that price, I cant complain. However, my past experiences with OCZ have been poor, so I don't expect much to change. All I am throwing on these is games, so if it dies, then not much is lost. As far as serving data, the drive does it well and fast. Like I said, all I will be using these two drives for is creating one larger partition and filling it up with demanding games. OS is staying on a WD 1TB hdd. |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Sandforce controller. Hard to upgrade the firmware. Dead drive after 2 months.
Pros:Fast. VERY CHEAP SSD. Comment:
I bought this drive 2months ago anf last week i started to get trouble on windows, huge slowdowns...disk search slowdowns. Then random reboot when the drive was busy like a game loading or files transfer. Then it refused to boot with disk read error. Sandforce controllers are BAD and their newer drives ditched SF. I am unhapy to have this drive RMA'd and having to format windows bah. DO NOT BUY SANDFORCE based SSD! |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none
Pros:PricePerformance Comment:
This is my second Vertex SSD. My Vertex 2 has performed well for me so I got this Vertex 3 to replace the slow 5400 RPM drive in my laptop. Big improvement in performance. It is not a high end laptop but the HDD was a big bottleneck. The new Vertex makes the laptop feel much more high end in responsiveness and general enjoyment of use. |

A great SSD for such a good price! It has improved my boot times and has been running reliably. I bought this for my laptop to host the system files and important programs, and used the old drive for everything else. There is a noticeable performance increase and nothing to complain about! |

Pros:quick ssd works great Comment:
Great ssd, wish I didnt find out (after the fact) I had a crippled marvell 9128 chipset on my x58 and I get crappy speeds. Hardly the SSD's fault though, so far so good. Quicker than my 2 intel ssds were in raid anyways. |

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- SSD size is still relatively small to a normal SATA drive
Pros:- Loads Windows a lot faster and many games such as BF3 and SC2 Comment:
I first bought this roughly 3 months ago and I don't regret it. I wanted to do a minor upgrade that would boost my performance. I have a I5-750, AMD 6950, and 4 Gigs of ram. I was thinking at first to put another 4 gigs of ram because ram has gotten cheaper. Then I read somewhere that a lot of people don't realize is that sometimes your bottle neck is actually your HD. I already have a WD 500G Black 7200 RPM so I thought how much improvement can it be? So I decided to try it since SSD price had drop so significantly. Man was I happy I did. BF3 literally loads the whole map like in 5 sec whereas before it will take 30 sec ish and SC 2 I'm like the first person done loading...One thing you have to get use to is using a regular SATA drive to put all your other junk in (songs/movies/documents files and etc). 120 Gig of space runs out quick after you install a few games along w/ win 7 =p |
Got this drive as an upgrade for an old computer. Great read/write speeds, even when using SATA 2.0 ports. Doesn't come with a SATA cable, so I had to "borrow" one from my optical drive.
