Bought one in October 2011 for my new build. Flashed 2.15 firmware as soon as it came out, and it has been running flawlessly since.TRIM works really well on this SSD, haven't felt much performance drop over 8 month.Bought another one for my T61, quartered the boot time. This one came with 2.15 firmware.The drive has a bad name, but it's not something to be worried about. The BSOD has been fixed with 2.15 firmware. |

I only use it on a spare PC. Other than boot time, didn't know much of the speed difference on typical usage. I bought a M4 to use on my primary PC and hope to see more performance advantage of SSD. If all you need is browsing the Internet, install Windows 8 Preview maybe a cheaper alternative, it can hybrid boot in 15 secs with ordinary HDD. |

I bought it around Dec 2011. The initial set up was a bit of a pain, since I had to reflash the drive once or twice with new firmware to make it work properly with the z68 and Win7 64bit. After installing all the right drivers things seems to be good so far. |

Cons:Windows 7 had problems recognizing this drive at all on 3 different computers so I had to use a special program to finally get it to work and after that it was fine.

This is a great drive, ridiculously fast, absolutely silent, and a decent price. The only thing that mars my experience with this is that I had to buy a $20 gift card and apply for a rebate to receive the advertised price. I had to wait for the gift card to arrive before I could order the rest of my system because I wanted to use the gift card for it. To add insult to injury, by the time it arrived, the price had dropped $10 and no longer required a gift card.The drive itself is great though so I'm rating it five stars. |

SSD are just to fast for the moment... you need to be a busy person to need your computer to boot up in just 15 seconds... Also, I'm wondering if I'd be better off using some of the old 250gb HDD that are lying around the house and make a 2 or 3 way RAID... a 3 way is always good :P |

I recommend it anytime. I updated the firmware to 2.22 on none OS connection very easily with OCZ tool. Very nice design. Seems very sturdy including SATA and power connections. The bracket and crews incuded make it very easy to install in a HDD bay on a PC even if its your first SSD. No need tho search for screws. Bracket installation is not in the user manual but I figured it out easily :) |

I was originally and little skeptical about the bad reviews for OCZ SSDs, but supposedly, all (most) of the issues have been fixed with the latest firmware updates. The drive I recieved already have v2.15, I updated it to v2.22 (no problems atm).I purchased this SSD for ~$95 ($120 - $15GC + $10MIR), the prices for an SSD seem to be dropping slowly. |
Bought for 4-5 year old slow Asus laptop that I was thinking of getting rid of. Very nice speed boost, very painless install, just plug in and worked. Will keep the laptop for a few more years.
