Pros:-fast-good bang for the buck when it comes to SSDs especially when on sale-did I mention fast Comment:
I have used this drive in over a dozen builds and so far all are working fine. The drive is fast and it came with 3.5" mounting bracket. I did experience a standby glitch when using it on older motherboards but disabling standby and hard drive power saving options seems to have fixed it. |

I used this to replace my hard drive as the drive housing my OS and I have been able to see an immediate improvement. It is very fast and responsive.The one thing that held me a little back from buying this was the price. But after buying it, it was worth the money spent. |

My first SSD. It's very fast and very responsive, but not mind-blowing. I'm not going to build another PC without an SSD, but I never felt like my cheapo Seagate 7200.10 was a bottleneck as an OS drive.No BSODs yet; SandForce issues appear to have been resolved.Most programs open in 1 second or less. Photoshop takes like 2 seconds. The thing is, I knew it would be like this. I guess the product performs as expected then? |

I have two of these in a raid 0 configuration. I wanted to see those 500MB sequential read speeds for myself so I setup a ram drive and copied an 8gig file to it in.... 8 seconds! Too bad I cant paste a screen capture of the Windows transfer screen showing 1.0GBps. :-) |

I bought this SSD to replace a dead Hard Drive in a MacBook White Unibody (early 2009). Its overkill for the capacity of this particular portable, but the price was right (especially on Cyber Monday) and I wanted a lightweight, efficient and robust drive replace solution.It was very easy to install. I formatted it using Disk Utility in MacOS, and so far i works like a charm. It's much, much, much faster than the slow original 5400rpm Sata HD, and as a bonus: no noise, almost no heat and lighter.Now if this computer was SATA 3 compliant, I would be in heaven, but nonethelessI am VERY satisfied! |

First time I am using a SSD and will never go back to traditionnal HD for my OS partition.Limited space but I have a 2TB hard drive for applications, media and normal storage.Good packaging from OCZ and the sticker coming with it "My SSD is faster than your hard drives" made a few friends laugh at the last LAN party.This SSD made some of my friend choose to switch to SSD for their OS partition before the end of the year.Would recommend to anyone. |

Cons:Despite twice loading the latest drivers and contacting tech support the SSD drive kept failing as a boot drive. Without warning the entire computer would lock up and then restart. It is a real shame since the drive was very fast in a computer built for speed.
Pros:Lightning fast, easy install, so quiet I have to double check to make sure the computer even turned on! Windows index is at 7.5 but I'm pretty sure it would be 7.9 if my motherboard wasn't limiting it.Windows 7 loads in less than 30 seconds and shutsdown in about 10. Comment:
People - you cannot expect older hardware to run new SSD technology. SSDs are a different ball game. If you have older hardware get SSDs that were made for that time period. Let me put it in a simple example - Lets just say you may have problems if you put a 2011 SSD drive into a 2006 machine. If it was an HDD sure, SSDS are a whole different platform. Imagine putting a usb 3.0 cable into a usb 2.0 port ( DO NOT DO IT) - it will just cause headaches. |

Just got this drive installed in my new gaming rig. When attempting to install windows It did not detect a drive as being installed. Fearing the worst I removed the drive and plugged it into my existing system and went into the disk management utility. I needed to set the drive to MBT if I remember correctly. After reinstalling it in the new machine I was able to successfully install windows.I must say that this is an extremely fast drive. I highly recommend it and am considering purchasing another for Raid 0. |

I just installed this SSD with windows7 pro. Fast installation, run as good as my old vertex 2. Don't really feel the different. After maybe 2 days right after I got all software installed, the nightmare begins. Blue screen, Can't search the SSD from bios.Try few times, finally works again. Then all the sudden within 1 hr, Blue screen!!!Man, my friend told me he is having the same issue with it too.So I guess we are both very unlucky with this SSD.I was very happy with vertex2. now I put the vertex3 into my junk computer box for no further purpose. I would stay away from vertex3 till OCZ fix this problem. This is one expensive test I don't think it is worth to risk. |

Bought this with my P8P67-Z Pro in my new build and haven't had one issue at all.Didn't have to install any extra firmware or anything and it seems to be working fine.I used an Intel SSD last generation but I don't see any reason to fear OCZ anymore. |
Got it for $149 less $20 MIR. Easy install - Win 7 Pro migration from a 40GB Intel SSD boot drive to this. Vertex is noticeably faster. May buy another and RAID the boot drive.
