Exceptional service from New Egg as always. Shipped really rapidly, installed easily, and works, no issues. I have utilised PNY items (memory and graphics cards) in quite a few of the machines I've worked on and have by no means had a difficulty. I also have many flash cards and USB flashdrives from them. None Less than 3 hours following writing my very first assessment, PNY sent me a Rebate Status Update. It appears all was in order and my rebate is scheduled for processing. Worked good for about a month and a half. It went bad soon after 45 days. I tried it in yet another similar personal computer and is giving me many errors associated to memory. Compared to other brands I thought it was a wonderful cost, specially with PNY's reputation. Received from Newegg in a couple of days. Installed in a Dell Inspiron 8600. Had already replaced one of the 256 megs two years earlier with a 1g. This memory replaced the other 256. Setup showed total of 2g memory but through boot it reported that the card was reporting a wrong address than expected. Then it said it had decreased the memory to 500 meg. Ran real slow and erratic operation. Will see what I have to do to get a replacement and how long it will take. Will advise. Shipped fast. Doesnt Work- I popped this sucker in the Toshiba 45 series and it does not boot up. Tried it in all different configurations along with the original 512 mb stick and alone. As long as I had this new stick in the computer system, it did not boot up. Boots up fine when I put the original 512 stick back in and by itself. Even confirmed it was the proper kind of memory by checking the memory locator on PNY. I am guessing the technologies is too new for the old machine? Got 2 of these for my HP Pavilion zx5078CL, plugged in with no problem. BIOS and windows each read 2gig. (see Cons/Other thoughts). Not going to return the extra will uncover a use somewhere ( hopefully in this laptop ) if someone has an concept how to get both to run. Can only run 1 1gig chip and one of the old 256 meg. Even tho bios and windows both report 2 gig apps and firefox crash. Bios is f45 flashed, both chips test and report fine except when both utilised together in laptop. When both 1 gig chips are in laptop, memtest reports errors on the second chip. HP and other web-sites each report this model can support 2 gig. ( hp has different pages one says yes 1 says no ) Users also report the very same so I thought I would attempt. My guess is a hidden setting in bios like voltage or timing keeping them from each running. Any one have a distinct bios update or thought to get each running??

I can play counter strike First time buying from NewEgg, After a month installing them, laptop take 8 mins to start out up ! 8 MINS ! and my sound and my Wireless doesn't work anymore, I tried reinstalling ALL drivers still absolutely nothing, now my laptop is now collecting DUST on my desk!I'm not certain if its the Ram, or just my laptop,... going to purchase a new laptop soon from NewEgg, hoping that my 2nd acquire will make me happy and forget about the RAM.

Uncomplicated to install and no issues with start off up. Memory worked from the begin and pc runs excellent! None Fantastic item with a wonderful price, which NewEgg has amazing sales!! The ship time was a little slow but for free how can you complain. I feel it took an extra two days (not a huge deal for me) so if you are in a hurry pay a small for shipping otherwise you can't go wrong with the egg....they are Eggcellent!!

Upgraded my 512MB laptop to 2GB and the difference was immediate! Now I can edit with photoshop in the blink of an eye. Shipping was quick and the hardest part of the install was finding a screwdriver small enough to open up the memory compartment. I searched for this same product in stores and could could only find it for almost 2 times what I paid here. GREAT deal! Thanks !
