I got this for my birthday 3 years ago and i love it. I have but this thing through hell and it's still works great. i have had it throne across a room, bounced off a concrete floor steel wall then a concrete floor again, dropped in two different lakes and has been stepped on so many times that i have lost track and it still works great. I have just put the firm ware rock box on it recently and made ten times better. now i can change the background and while playing screen, play games, play gameboy and gameboy color games. It has many other apps such as a calculator and text editor, even a pitch detector. I would recomend this to any one who wants a state of the art mp3 player for 30 bucks.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He has used it about 5 times and it is dead. not battery dead- just plain dead. This site is great but this product is not good. Dont buy it.

I bought mine new. The battery was 100% dead - could not be recharged - after maybe 10 uses, and they are expensive. The FM tuner is flakey. I can have it set to a known station and get nothing. If I tune up and down the dial and come back - or shut the unit off and turn back on - it is usually fine. The MP3 file does not support folders, so you cannot play a subset of your total file. The controls are very intuitive and easy to use. I love the wheel for selecting functions or setting volume. Not a bad unit if they would fix the things mentioned above.

Nice product, metal case. But the buttons are difficult to work; to close to the roller. Also, the firmware does not read SDHC cards, only SD. The is a firmware version available to read the SDHC up to 8G, but I tried many time to intall it and doens't work... if I'd new, I would of bought a bigger one.

hi ! I would have voted 0 stars if it existed..... newly formated P4 with SP3, MTP drivers, wi media player 11.... and it doesn't work..... support page as no solution...... a big waste of time and money..... don't lose your time with this

I got 2 of these as Christmas presents and even though they were refurbished they look and work like new at a great price. My daughter is very happy with hers.

Compared to similar product, I feel Sandisk (Sansa) is under-rated. I have tried all the application software on this MP3 player, except the e-book player, and they have met my expectations. This is the second player I have bought, and would buy another, at $24 and change, whats not to like. Good job TD. P.S. shipping is second to none.

Originally could not get songs to download but after a lot of reading and a lot of manipulating, my wife finally figured out how to get the updated firmware from the Sandisk website and apply it to the player. Now it works fine and sounds great.

I bought this for my 10-year-old for Christmas. In general, it works very well. No manual and no media conversion software included with the refurb units. I found a manual online, and most operations are simple enough to figure out without it. However, when I tried to load pictures, I got an error. Apparently, we need conversion software to load pictures. I haven't had time to hunt online for this. Music loaded easily enough, sound is good. Bottom line: good value for the money, works well, BUT don't buy refurbished unless you have the time and patience to hunt online for missing manual and software.

This player is an incredible value after loading RockBox. With RockBox you can use micro SD cards bigger than 2GB. Excellent quality and battery life. Getting the silicon cover makes operating the buttons much easier as specified by one of the reviewers. Highly recommended.

A GOOD BUY...PURCASED TWO AS THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. WAS REPLACING ONE THAT WAS GIVEN AS A GIFT THAT HAD BROKEN, UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE DIFFERENT VERSIONS SO WHAT I HAD ON SD CARD DIDN'T WORK BUT FOR THE PRICE WOULD BUY AGAIN

I sent this to my granddaughter as a gift. When it was received there was no instructions and no software for video conversion. I went to the Sandisk web site and you can't get the software there. I had to make a copy of mine and send to her. Otherwise it is a very good product but don't buy without all the items it needs.

I purchased two of these for my children ages 8 and 7. They are easy to use and a good product for the money. We did not have a lot of the problems that were posted in some of the other reviews. The only problem was when we tried to put photos and images on it, the format was not the correct one. We still do not know how to correct that. We loaded the music to it and the MP3 players worked very well. The battery life is good. The kids also like the voice recording option.

When I ordered the 1st one it wasn't working properly. The voice recording was not functioning. I stayed on the phone with sansa for an hour before we finally decided we couldn't fix it and I had to return it. I bought a new one and it has a few glitches like getting stuck on the sansa screen, but it works ok

I got this for my 4 year old daughter and my 9 year old son this enjoy it allot. It is easy to use and has a nice pic for movies and videos. the only thing i did not like is it will not download all AVI that i have tried to put on it. But when it does look out easy car trips now.

I bought 2 of these for my two sons. The headphone jack did not work (only played in 1 ear) on one of them and the button popped off of the other. Can't send them back because the original boxes got thrown away with Christmas trash. I had to explain to my kids why Santa made garbage MP3 players. Not worth it. Features are nice but quality was so poor I'd never buy again.

Bought this product for my husband for Christmas and it came on saying keys were locked, system shut down. Moved the hold button to unlocked, as instructed by the online manual, still showed same message. Went through all the steps suggested by tech support, still doesn't work. First problem I have ever had with a product that I purchased here. Especially disappointing because it was about the only gift my husband got this year due to our tight budget.
