Wonderful CPU. Couple this with some very good Ram and it flies. Haven't overclocked it but but I'm looking forward to it. Stock heatsink+fan can get pretty loud below load. Possibly going to have to purchase an aftermarket one. It's just an annoyance rather than a con. Not worth knocking off an egg. Rapid, reputable, and super inexpensive compared to the Intel equivalent. AMD For The Win!

Its specifically what you feel it is, a processor for this price tag that will shame yours. Do it. get it. Buy two so your buddy can have one. 6 cores! ... 6 cores! its so quickly! No cost shipping! Totally free bonus stuff! (thanks newegg! totally free stuff rules!) That fresh, out of box, new processor smell. When you get the issue goin.. the stock fan can truly ramp up and get quite loud.. but hey, you gotta control this monster somehow, if noise is an issue you may want to think about and aftermarket cooler This factor is thundering righteous fury in a box. Your inner nerd will thank you for this investment. bought it for a new technique for my wife and she insisted on this processor, entirely worth it. Wow. Guys, they make computers THIS quick now. just... Wow. This processor is virtually as good as bacon.

Upgraded from a dual core and this was like a dream come correct. This is a excellent processor for a good cost. AMD has been generating good quality items reasonably priced and the speed shows. 7.fiveǝ.9 windows rating, do yourself a favor, obtain this, OC it, replace stock fan and win. Nothing negative to say!

I've bought two of these and I'm about to buy a third. This is an incredibly rapid and reliable processor, and you just can't beat the price tag. Very proposed. I use this on a single machine strictly for gaming, and on my second machine for improvement operating visual studio and eclipse. None.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:If all cores are used, the last 2 cores only pushes 2.8 Ghz

Pros:Fast6 coresReasonable price
Comment:
I love this cpu. Read lots of review saying that Intel is faster, better, etc.. It plays games, works well for video rendering, and video editing. No problem at all.As I mentioned about the cons, will I ever need to use all six cores? Nope. It does however, jumps up to 3.6ghz when using only 1 core. So I read.Tried overclocking but, can't quite figure out the voltage setting.

Cons:Loud noise

Pros:PricePowerLow temperature
Comment:
Very interesting price for the power you get. It defenitely worth the money. It can run all my game without difficulty. It'stemperature barely go more than 30 degree C., witch is awesome! [I didn't overclock it yet]The heat sink of this CPU is nosy, very nosy. All that noise is the only reason I didn't give a 5/5 score to this CPU. But with an aftermarket heatsink...PS. Price/PERFORMANCE IS Outstanding!very good heatsink/fan.OC'd stable to 4.1 on stock fan/sinkstays cool at three.6 so i don't have my case fans on blast. some apps/games don't use all six cores but that's not AMDs fault.it can't make politicians smarter... :( i've had this chip for a week and i Love it. the chip it replaced was fairly fast but this factor is ridiculous. paired with an SSD, a so-so graphics card and a quick web connection it feels faster than any linux Computer is supposed to be.i do a lot of transcoding and compiling and this chip makes effortless function of it. i can't comment on gaming efficiency but for all other stuff this chip has wonderful amounts of overkill.

6-Cores Turbo core techEasy to Overclock (if your an overclock)Low-cost compared to the Intel equivalent in terms of valueWas a enormous upgrade to my old Athlon II x4 620 2.6ghz !!! None that I can see (maybe the stock cooler type of sucks but most men and women replace it anyway so not actually a con) If you looking to push your old AM3 Motherboard to its max with no getting to shell out cash for an AM3+ compatible board then this is for you.If you can wait it is likely that Octo-core (server level CPU have 12core CPU's currently) is around the corner so if your not in dire require to upgrade could want to wait it out and see what is coming down the pike.

Cons:overclocking with black edition needs third party cool for safety. stock fan clip install kinda a pain for some reason with asus crosshair v board.

Pros:AMD product reliability. stock fans cool enough and has built in cool and quiet setting so the fans don't sound like a jet. great power and multitasking.
Comment:
this was my choice over the new line of amd chips as of dec 2011, it runs well, roughly 41c idle on stock fan non overclocked, and has option for cool n quiet so you don't get noise unless needed.i found it to be overall great product although I did find that system start up and tasks where slightly slower then what I liked to see coming from my previous 4 core AMD solution.Overall great buy for the power it gives you.

Lightning quickly, runs 10C cooler than my previous CPU with the stock cooler (Intel Quad Q6600, aftermarket cooler with 4 heatpipes), easily overclocked to three.7GHz with the stock cooler, 1Ǚrd the cost of Intel's Hexicore, unlocked multiplier makes overclocking an absolute breeze. Pre-applied thermal paste is junk. Coming off of the heatsink it had an almost clay like consistency. Fantastic invest in for 赨.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:none

Pros:6 cores, fast, stable, less heat produced compared to X4 models, and far less voltage required when overclocking
Comment:
This is a great CPU. This puppy will do 3.8 Ghz on 1.35 volts. What is not to like here ? The X6 processors require far less voltage when overclocking than the X4 ones. Both myself, and a friend of mine, have ours clocked at 3.8 Ghz completely stable on 1.35 volts. My load temps, even under extreme stress, are never higher than 43 degrees. For the price, this processor can't be beat. I upgraded from an X4 965, and there is a huge difference. Multitasking is much faster now. I can open an endless amount of apps with this CPU, and she still keeps asking for more. There is a slight increase of FPS in games, but there is a huge difference in smoothness. Gaming on a system with this processor is smooth like glass. If you are upgrading from an X4 Phenom II CPU, right away you will notice how much smoother your games are. You may only get 5-10 frames per second more, but your games will also run much more fluently. This processor allows you to game without lagging, chunking, stuttering, and other problems with less powerful processors. If you have an X4 CPU, and are wondering if you should upgrade, do it. You will not be disappointed.

Destroys any challenge I throw at it. Installed multiple programs at the identical time without noticing a factor.Prime95 was a joke with the CPU cooler, it can run at 44-45C all day.Bang for your buck is here, not at intel, here! I didn't get a free of charge game, ah the cost of ordering elements from an amazing distributer like Newegg. Utilized the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus instead of the stock fan (which is identical to the x4 black edition cpu cooler by the way) and it idles about 29C, normal perform 35C and Prime95 44-45C. Very advised to obtain with this.
