AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:- Overclocking scaling isn't fantastic
Pros:- Open multiplier for overclocking- Handles multithreaded applications wonderfully- Great price Comment:
Having experience with my own 1100t, I picked up a 1090t for another build I was working on. AMD has priced these chips extremely competitively, and the end result is a great performing 6-core processor that is an affordable powerhouse. For everyday performance, it handles everything flawlessly, and in multithreaded apps you can see this chip really take off.My only issue with this chip is more of an unlucky one. I believe that I may have a lower performing 1090t, as I can barely get it to 3.8GHz on a water loop. I know that there is a small margin (as is the case with any processor) that this particular one barely passed quality control binning. Comparred to my 1100t, which is running 4.28GHz at 1.45V, overclocking this has been nothing but a fruitless endeavor. Even with top quality TIM, I decided to run this at stock speeds, as the temperatures were still rather high for this particular chip.Binning and all that said, I would still recommend this processor to anyone looking for a fast, strong, and affordable solution to the pricier chips out there. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Sandy Bridges is a bit ahead in the game, but Bulldozer should take care of that.
Pros:Six Cores - it easily handles any threaded application.Very easy to overclock, tons of options and tools available from AMD. Comment:
I like AMD because of their tendency to be more open with their products (releasing specifications etc). This Phenom is a beast, and it works great. I recommend this product. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:- Aging architecture.
Pros:- 6-cores; very fast.- Very good performance for a very reasonable price.- Unlocked and easy to tweek. Comment:
FOr the longest time I was bouning between this and Intel's i5 processor. At the end of the day, I picked this up at a very reasonable price and I am glad I did. I'm not a heavy power user perse, but even so, this processor has easily handled everything that I can throw at it. And it does it without breaking a sweat!! This is a good comprimise if you want better than low-end performance, but aren't ready to break the bank on the brand new technology. Highly recommended!! :) |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:none
Pros:very fastreliable6 physical cores Comment:
i have always been a intel fan, until a couple days earlier, i bought this amd x6 to see if it meets what all my friends say about it. i was amazed as this thing runs just as fast as a intel i7 second gen. although this does not have any HT features, its still VERY fast as 6 cores is already a overkill for many daily use and gaming users. most i like about this processor is the price. ive spent 300 dollars on a 2600k, 2/3 of what i spent on the intel on this, performance was AMAZING. i am indeed very impressed with amd.in personal experience and opinion, amd focuses more on speed and performance, as a result, some products may have bugs, as many of my amd gfx cards have died on me. For ex. my 5770, had many problems with it. Another thing about this processor is they leave alot of room for overclocking, i had this processor running in 4.6ghz on ALL cores with water cooling, never went over 70 degrees Celsius. In a overall rating, id like to give this 5 stars as i am VERY impressed on what AMD has produced. i might even change my mind and go with amd from now on. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:- Does not overclock to 4.0+ GHZ with true 24/7 stability on a DDR2 motherboard - ASUS M4N82 Deluxe (I know the web has examples of reaching 4.0 GHz on this mobo, but it is not practicle).
Pros:- Performs as advertised- Overclocks well Comment:
Good product, where the 6 cores are definetly better then 4 especially when overclocked to 3.8 GHz. |

Cons:n/a
Pros:6 physical coresVery fast Comment:
Amazing cpu! You get 6 physical cores and they are all legit, non of that intel bs with ht which just ruins performance on single threaded applications. Overclocks like a beast! I got this with the eco liquid cooler and WOW! 4.2ghz and stays below 55c while rendering videos! Did i mention that its about 35% cheaper than what intel has to offer at this performance?!?Motherboards are also very cheap for am3 and old am2+ boards and be updated to be used with this cpu.Plus it supports both ddr2 and ddr3 which is very nice for ppl that have athlon and want an upgrade.Best $220 ever spent |

I love this processor. Powerful and never skips a beat. And you definately cant beat the price. The only thing i dont like with the stock setup is how loud the stock heatsink's fan is. But i am just goign to get a new heatsink and that will fix the problem. Havent OC'ed and probably never will |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:None that I've found.
Pros:My X2 6400 was taking 9 hours to render a 2 1/4 hour video with 2 edits/effects and stayed pegged at 100% the entire time, this processor does a similar render in about 2 1/2 hours and runs at about 70% average allowing me to use the system for other things while rendering... it rocks. I expected to have to o/c it a bit but it appears unnecessary. Temps Comment:
To start I'd like to say I have an i7 975 running at 4.26 GHz on a custom water cooling system. I build the Phenom system because I wanted to play with the 1090T and I wanted to move the games off my workstation. I also wanted to run a 100% AMD system. I am more than pleased. I haven't have a chance to be an AMD fanboy for many years now, since the Pentium days. I hope AMD sells a bazillion of these |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:None yet.
Pros:This CPU is just asking for more and more things to do. It's blazing fast. At this price, there's no reason to buy any Intel processor. Comment:
I just bought it last week to pair it with a Radeon HD 5850 a friend sold to me for 100$, 4 Gb of G.Skill 1600 and a Corsair 650 Watts. Guys, I'm happy. My Pentium 4 can finally go to a well deserved rest.Everything I throw at it is not enough to choke this CPU. I'm running Crysis at max settings c1680x1050(even some AA)and it almost never goes under 30 fps at this setup and if it goes there, it's for a second only. I don't have Raid yet, so it's probably the problem because the game is very fluid. For a PC that cost me 630$ in total...that's amazing. Been playing Bad company 2 flawlessly too in all its Dx11 glory. I've played the game on ps3 since lauch and let me tell you, BC2 on PC is day and night with the console's version.Been runnin Gamecube and Ps2 emu flawlessly. Let me tell you that FFXII running in HD is quite nice.NCIX are fast. I did my order last wednesday and friday it was at my door. I love guys. Always been a great experience to buy at NCIX. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Haven't seen it maxed out yet aside from stress-test applications
Pros:6 CoresAM3 SocketAmazing pricepoint Comment:
The decision to buy this CPU came when I got into video editing and encoding. My old CPU took hours upon hours to encode a movie and it turned into a heater whenever I did anything on it. This new one encodes video much faster, and with 4 extra cores, my CPU doesn't lock up while it's working.I've also had much better performance in games than I expected. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
cooling fan makes a high frequency noise at 14000 htz
Pros: runs cool, powerful processor Comment:
since the fan makes that kind of noise at 14000 htz i was about to replace it, but since i changed a few settings, like the EPU-4 at auto, it slowed down the fan and the noise is less noticeable, other than that, it's a very good processor, better than any intel i found, people thinks intel is good for games, absolutely not true, the intel lags the speed it needs for the high quality games and multitasking like i do, so i went with this one and it preforms better and runs cooler than expected. I would recommend this CPU to any gamers out there if you want your machine to run cool while playing high quality games. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None.
Pros: Extremely Fast. Price compared to similar Intel chips. Comment:
I bought this chip as an upgrade from an X2 6000+ and what a difference. Rendering video is about 10 times faster, and games now run on max settings without a new video card. Highly recommended. |

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
Yet another stock AMD fan to go in the pile of spare parts
Pros: Very fast, runs cool, very good price Comment:
I recommend purchasing this over the 1100T as they are virtually the same save for the stock multiplier being set 0.5x higher. The CPU easily takes 3.6ghz on stock voltages and cooling, 3.7ghz can get a bit flaky though. Of course, your mileage may vary. In conclusion, save yourself $30 and buy this over the 1100. |

Won't out run the Intel products. Their quads are just as fast or faster.
Pros: Quick to install & never a problem. Descent speed for the money. Comment:
Great value for $ & just as reliable as all the AMD CPU's I've bought in the past. Handles the multitasking seamlessly. |

I installed this with the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus heatsink and haven't had any issues. I upgraded from an Intel core 2 duo (6750) and it is a significant upgrade! For the price, you can't really go wrong. I haven't tried overclocking mine yet, so hopefully it goes well :) |
