AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: Great, ANOTHER AMD stock heatsink/fan to put in the spare parts box?

Pros: Great overclocker, extremely cool for its speeds, best value for $200
Comment:
I cannot recommend this processor enough. Originally working with a first-generation AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE I was getting a lot of system instability due to its higher power-requirements and found it to be an extremely poor overclocker. This 1090 on the other hand is able to clock well above the 965 at stock voltages and is immeasurably stabler on the same mobo. Given the difference in price between this and the 1100t I would suggest getting the 1090t, as you can save about $30 and get the same clock speeds without any trouble. This is exactly what the doctor calls for in the $200-region.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: stock heatsink barely does job with factory specs

Pros: fast running easy to clock stable and not very power hungry
Comment:
i like this cpu . its a definite improvement over previous editions of phenom. with the addition of a coolermaster hyper212+ cooler with push pull fan config i have never seen cpu run above 47 degrees and running cpu at 3.6 ghz . windows cpu rating of 7.7 for cpu dont hurt either. running this cpu with 3 stcks of 2 gb pc3-1333 on m4a79xtd evo board with ati 5770 and scored 20100 on future benchmark 6 . amd definitely has pulled up their socks on this one

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: not as great as a $1000 intel, lol.

Pros: Cheap, 6 cores, fast, very multitaskable
Comment:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T is great for the price, you pay 230 - 250 and get the price of a 700 intel. The higher resolution you go, the FPS balances out to the Intel one, and it is cooler then the intel and runs at a lower temperature.

Cons: The noise of stock cooler is very loud. Then I bought OCZ Gladiator, which is much better.

Pros: fast, not expensive, six core
Comment:
If the stock cooler is not so noisy, it will be 100% satisfaction.

this is my first amd build and i am glad i went this path. setup was similar to intel where you use a clip on and the thermal paste is pre applied on the stock heat sink. did not need to fiddle around in the bios and run really cool under max load. will definitely recommend amd to anyone looking for a new pc.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: I really didn't like the turbo core option. I found it messed with the overclock i had on it and would slow the chip down.

Pros: Runs cool, able to overclock greatly, or lower the voltages at stock speeds.
Comment:
I've been able to get this chip to 4.0ghz on all 6 cores (Liquid cooled).I've disabled the turbo core option too.I found there was a 'hiss' noise coming from the chip with the turbo core option on. When i turned it off, it went away.So i run the chip at 4ghz on all six cores all the time now, and i've never had any issues at all.I'm running stock voltages to get the 4ghz on the chip. I'm sure i could get more if i increased the voltage, but why bother when i'm already getting 4gz.

Pros: Very Very Very Fast
Comment:
All that i can say its that its been a while since a owned a AMD processor and since now i will never chose else regarding a Desktop Solution. The Stock Cooler that comes with it is the only inconvenient. But else i got great performance with it, installed it in a Crosshair IV MotherBoard and it just works great.

This is my 2nd x6 t1090 processor and when i sold my first one i couldnt find anything better for the price a bought another one;)one recomendation if you get this CPU get ASUS/MotherBoardso u can overclock it with 1 button or a MOBO that has that option..i m runing this CPU on Stock fan n 3.7ghz x6 cores and thats wihtout overclocking from the bios and my temperature is around 40-50 permanent even under some heavy load , so stock fan does just fine if your budget is low, ofcourse with 3rd party CPUHeatsink this cpu can be overcloacked to 4.0+ ghz without a question.also note many people compare this CPU vs 965 or 975 extremem intel CPU's check other reviews ;)Best bang for your $ !

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: none

Pros: Great performance for the priceO/C is a breezeCool operation
Comment:
Running with a Corsair H50 cooler (didn't even try the stock fan), this cpu is super-fast and stays super-cool (about 27C idle, 40C full load). Overclocking is a breeze, was able to o/c to 4.0 GHz stable without breaking a sweat, temps in low 50's at full load o/c'ed, performance increased by about 12% o/c based on several benchmarking tools. My Asus motherboards monitoring software (Asus Probe II) reports temperatures about 15C higher than AMD Overdrive (it may be a core-temp vs cpu-temp thing), so bear that in mind when overclocking. I rely on the higher temp of the two just to be safe. This is a great cpu for anyone looking to do heavy multi-tasking and overclocking. And it runs games great!

My X2 6400 was taking 9 hours to render a 2 1/4 hour video with 2 edits/effects and stayed pegged at 100% the entire time, this processor does a similar render in about 2 1/2 hours and runs at about 70% average allowing me to use the system for other things while rendering... it rocks. I expected to have to o/c it a bit but it appears unnecessary. Temps

Upgrade from Pentium D 3.0GHz.I had my Pentium D cooled with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 92mm. It routinely hit 68C when playing games.I have my 1090T cooled with a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ 120mm. When playing games the fan gets to about 850RPM and the CPU tops out at about 39C. Very impressed. As far as performance goes, I'm very pleased. Obviously from a Pentium D almost any modern processor would be a huge improvement, but I simply don't have anything to complain about with the 1090T. I haven't experienced any problems such as stuttering or other kinds of lag. Everything is smooth and moving between applications or running multiple applications is flawless.Very happy with my choice.

Pros: FastVery fastGreat Performance
Comment:
Stock cooling is terrible for this cooler, as in most CPU. I bought this to replace my aging AMD X2 6000.I have yet to find anything that I use to slow down the CPU. I didnt have much to compare with at the time, I'm just happy with the purchase.I have gotten the CPU to 3.6ghz, without breaking a sweat. A little tweaking to 3.8ghz, and it runs stable. On idle I average 21c, and load never goes higher than 35c, using CM 212 cooler with push/pull design.Next is to use WC, but I doubt I will see much any improvements.

Pros: - OC's well- nice low voltage at stock settings (1.29v)- unlocked multi 6 core cpu for $300 price point vs $1200 for intel's version of it.
