There's a bit of marketing hype up there, I can feel that this drive vibrates less than other cheap drives I've bought, but it is still just as loud, very distracting at full speed. The green stuff is just market hype... why would I care of saving a few watts? I keep my rig on 24/7 |

It's a very solid SATA DVD burner. It consumes less energy than the average drive. You can also download the E-Green software to show the energy you saved. It also comes with nero-8 essentials. The burning quality is really top notch + the AVRS makes the drive really quiet. I would buy again. |
My experiences with the drive are identical to those of the other reviewer. Definitely less vibration (virtually none), but it is loud. However, I would much prefer the drive running loud than the case shaking. Excellent burn quality on Verbatim media.
