Cons:I personally prefer 1920x1200.

Pros:Great valueIntegrated speakers (good for someone with limited space)DVI, VGA, HDMI input options
Comment:
Got this for my gf's gaming build since it has a variety of inputs with 1080p and integrated speakers (she has limited space). Works fine. Did a few RGB tests for dead/stuck pixels and I happen to receive a unit without any. I'm disappointed at the gift card rebate though.

Inexpensive, Big, hdmi, speakers. all the works fairly muchsimple to develop... menu/buttons are challenging to fully grasp at 1st, but when u get it its fairly obviousit wide adequate to fit firefox and microsoft word next to every single other without having the want to decrease either one. so when i do my essays or just want to multitask, u dont hav to use a second screen for an extension (even tho i still do) SPEAKERS, dont even bother with them. theyre too quiet and not clear at allthe begin up time is lengthy enough for me to grow me beard, initially it takes awhile to turn on.... then it shows the ASUS logo for a few seconds then absolutely starts up... which can get annoying specifically when u want to just check an email genuine fast. i dont feel its the monitos fault, but i cant truly watch movies full screen with no it becoming actually blurry/pixelated. but its most likely my GPU

This monitor is exactly what I was looking for. It is bright responsive, and the colors are vivid. I would recommend this monitor to any individual. Be cautious with LED backlit monitors if you have glasses with a superior amount of prism in them. Prism will blur any LED source.

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor
Cons:No height adjustment

Pros:Good price, adjustable stand, decent controls
Comment:
This is a decent, and inexpensive, monitor with good controls and basic adjustability. (Angle is adjustable, but height isn't, nor can I rotate.)Primary use is business (Office 2010, Visio, etc.) I'm not a gamer, so can't comment on it's suitability for that. But for giving me a lot of screen real estate at a very reasonable price? tough to beat.

Comment:
Terrific color good quality, massive viewing region. The screen is quite bright, maybe even too bright, but that can be adjusted easily. The base installs effortlessly and securely with out any tools needed. No dead pixels, every little thing looks best. The speakers sound like cr@p, but I wasn't expecting considerably. I don't believe everyone who cares about audio top quality would be utilizing the built in speakers, so I don't think it's an problem. I like that the power light is situated on the underside of the monitor; it permits you to see it without having it blinding you at night. The devoted key for switching profiles is wonderful too, you don't have to go into the menus if you want to swap quickly.

Cons:Dust magnet.Unsturdy stand.

Pros:Large.Cheap.Vivid colours.No lag.Tilt angle.
Comment:
I've owned this for a month and I have dead pixels. Well, somewhat. There's a small dot (1mm or less in size) that still shows the colour that it's supposed to show, but it's almost like its 10x brighter than the area surrounding. Quite annoying, but it's on the edge.Stand wobbles when I type, which sucks.Tilt angle is extreme, 45 degrees each way. Pretty awesome.Overall, never had a bad problem. Tape it down though!

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor
Cons:- The speaker quality is pretty poor- 1 out of the 2 monitors had a dead pixel- Default out of box settings are pretty damn bright

Pros:- Amazing picture quality once you tweak the settings- Has all the inputs you need- Asus quality- Amazing price
Comment:
Overall I am very satisfied with this monitor. Just sucks that the one monitor had a dead pixel. Picture quality is amazing. You can't get a better monitor for the price (got it for $159 on sale). Gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the speaker quality and 1 dead pixel.

Capabilities for the cost. I got it with a ฤ instant rebate and บ mail in rebate. My friend ordered one for function because he liked mine so significantly. Took his mail in rebate also. Had to calibrate the gamma a little but the brightness and contrast had been set properly straight out the box. Good upgrade from a 19" dell fourɇ lcd monitor. The very first 1 I ordered had a dead pixel. Newegg was really useful and swiftly replaced it at no cost to me and it did not maintain me from receiving my mir. 10 bucks is 10 bucks. I like how it has dvi, vga and hdmi ports. I generally like asus mobos, their monitors are fairly nice too.

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor
Cons:The small round base doesn't provide as much stability as the "V" shaped base on my acer monitor...but I guess most monitors use the round shaped bases these days.

Pros:Large screen, good res, excellent cable routing, and has decent basic integral speakers.
Comment:
This is an excellent monitor for normal use. It's very good all around, and is perfect for almost any application. The integral speakers are only 1 watt each, but provide decent sound and are worth the extra money spent on the monitor to reduce added desk clutter created by having external speakers. The design is pretty sleek and the monitor is a pretty good value. At the rear of the monitor, there is a slot in the monitor stand to route wires, making for a clean installation. The only downside to it, is that at 23", it's almost too big for normal use in my opinion, and so the monitor can easily be knocked over if not setup in a safe location.

Massive screen, low cost. Fiddle with it and you'll figure out how to get it to select the correct input. Fiddle some a lot more and you'll get it to appear very good Takes too considerably "fiddlin'." Controls not intuitive and presets weren't well developed. Minus one egg for some standard flaws as mentioned. Doesn't auto detect the input and you may well have to basically read the manual to figure out how to get it out of the VGA input mode. Or, just randomly push the buttons and it will come to you . . . eventually. Overall, a superior monitor for the cost. This one has only been in use for one day, and I have a second 1 that I haven't attempted but in a dual monitor setup. So, although it's a little early, I am hopeful that I won't have to edit this review.

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor
Comment:
No dead pixels, Vivid image excellent, Significant Screen. For the price I paid, you can't beat the quality. Stand is better than most in this price range as properly. I only ordered one... Controls are additional complex than some. This, like any of these type displays, will at times show slight "ghosting". Not enough to distract, but if you appear close sufficient you can find it on ALL LCD's when it comes to quick moving objects. Most individuals by no means notice it, some monitors do a much better job hiding it, yet, it is the nature of this type of display. Also, if you let the monitor warm up, it normally gets much better. Also, with "Dead" or "Stuck" pixels, if you enable the monitor to run for a although, commonly 24hrs, they can at times fix themselves. Not usually, but from my encounter about 70% of the time.

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor
Comment:
- Fantastic price for a 24" LED screen- Fantastic seeking display, once it is calibrated (See below)- VESA mounting- HDMI, DVI, & VGA inputs- HDCP compliant on the DVI input - All of the built-in "Splendid" configurations appear really bad.- ASCR is not usable (at least, on the monitor I bought)- Important ghosting occurs when black items are moved against a white background. Really noticeable when drawing / moving lines in MS Word or Visio, for example. The ghosting occurs regardless of whether ASCR turned "On" or not (I was hoping this was just an artifact of ASCR, but it isn't). Also noticeable when just moving a black cursor against a white background. The VE247H is a genuinely good monitor, but it has some considerable flaws:- The pre-set "Splendid" configurations are something but "splendid". All of them were obnoxiously bright and overly contrasted.- The color temperature is pretty far off target. For example, the "Normal" setting for 7500K was closer to about 6700K.- Utilizing the "Theater Mode" (since it allowed for a lot of control), and "User Mode" for the Color Temperature, I calibrated my display making use of SpectraCal's new CalPC software program along with my Chroma5 Colorimeter. Every little thing looked truly fantastic soon after calibration.- The ASCR (Asus' dynamic contrast feature) is basically useless. When the screen contained a significant amount of black, the entire display went entirely blank. This occurred throughout full-screen videos, and in the course of PC bootup (blanked during BIOS information display and the Win7 glowing flag), for example. This could be just my monitor - I will replace my monitor and update with what I locate.
