Great Liquid Cooler
Comment:
Cosair has made the best liquid cooler so far. The Hydro H50 is an all-in-one unit that is easy to install & maintain. I keeps the processor way below the normal operation temp. to you don't have to worry about ever cooking your CPU. I have an AMD 9600 x4, at full load running it on an Win Server 2008 machine, it keeps it about 3-5 degrees cooler that with the standard CPU cooler. No need to keep adding water to this one like the other liquid coolers. This is maintance free, all of it is self contain & sealed which means no need to keep adding water.

Nice Cooler but
Comment:
This is a nice cooler and the fact that there aren't any coolant connections to make is sweet. C always means quality in my book and I think this product holds up to the name. Installation was easy enough and it does free or clean up a lot of space in my case. The downside is that I just didn't see any real improvement over the 120 that I was running previously (I7 920). My idle is nearly the same (38) and my load is slightly lower (58). I will say that it appears to take a bit longer to get up to max temp, but also seems to take longer to come back down. So..if you are running a large air cooler and looking for an improvement over that...I'd stick with what you have. If you are going for a new build and want to maximize your case space, then go for it...its a nice product.

Great product
Comment:
Installed in no time at all and runs very quiet. Keeps my QX9650 10-20 degrees lower than heatsink supplied.(depends on how much I overclock it,usually at 4gz).

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:None I can think of.

Pros:Great cooling capabilities.
Comment:
Overall a great cooling solution for someone not looking to go to a water cooled setup. Looks nice, easy installation. Make sure to have the fan drawing air into the case for the best cooling performance. A great product overall.

Nice Cooler Great Price
Comment:
I used one of these in my latest build. I downloaded speedfan to monitor the core temperature. I have not seen my quad core temp above 36c. It stays around 30-32c. Great price considering how much those large fan rigs cost. It was very, very easy to install

really works great and really quiet
Comment:
Running an older Pentium D 840 EE, my first shot at water cooling, so i am not an expert, but i will never go back to air cooling again. Keeps the temps to 120 F or less reguardless of load.

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:- Only comes with one set of screws- Mounting bracket is fairly cheap

Pros:- Easy installation- Quiet- No maintenance
Comment:
Ordered this as my cooler for my first desktop. Installation was easy enough and I currently have it in push-pull. I'm experimenting with airflow direction so I'll post temps when I've finished this. The only problem I had initially was that a part of the bracket chipped away, but it hasn't caused any problems (yet) and hopefully will stay that way. I got this for cheap bundled with an 800D, and basically got it for $20. Well worth it for the price.

A QUIET COOLER
Comment:
THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD PRODUCT, I HAD A FEW PROBLEMS INSTALLING IT, SO MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE DIRECTIONS CLOSELY, I JUST FOLLOWED THE PICTURE DIRECTIONS THAT CAME WITH IT, AND STARTED OUT USING THE WRONG PLASTIC CLIPS, AND THE HOLES WOUDN'T LINE UP RIGHT, BUT AFTER I LOOKED AT THE DIRECTIONS AGAIN, I PUT IN THE RIGHT CLIPS AND THE HOLES LINED UP PERFECTLY, THE COOLER RUNS ABOUT AS GOOD AS A GOOD MONSTER AIR COOLER FOR THE CPU, BUT WITHOUT THE NOISE. I INSTALLED 2 CASE FANS 120MM SILENT FANS, AND WHEN I BOOTEDUP I HAD TO MAKE SURE THE FANS WERE ON, IT WAS SO QUIET I COULD BARELY HEAR IT RUN. YOU MIGHT WANT OT CHECK OUT THE CORSAIR WEBSITE FOR A VIDEO ON HOW TOO INSTALL THIS, IT HELPS. I AM RUNNING A AMD PHENOM II 3.4 GHZ AND IT RUNS ABOUT THE SAME TEMPS AS MY INTEL WOLFDALE AT 3.0 GHZ. VERY HAPPY

Great product
Comment:
This is a well constructed item. My quad core was running with the OEM fan at 126 degrees and Now with this cooler I'm running at 100 to 103 degrees! Thats a good reduction. Lowering 23 to 26 degrees is great...was hoping for temp to run closer to 90,but I cant complain at all. Thanks Great product for the price.

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:Don't let that heavy heat sink break your ram sticks or your motherboard.

Pros:Price, for liquid cooling, small footprint( lots of room for ram with large heat sinks), actually quite simple to install.Very good cooling for my AMD Quad 965. Quiet.
Comment:
First time liquid cooling for me,was so simple to install.Just be careful how you handle it when installing as the heat sink is quite heavy and I'm sure it can break something if it falls into the box. New motherboard was dead so I had lots of experience uninstalling and installing.Makes your box look very cool and empty. No fuss no muss as this unit requires no assembly and no refilling.

You get what you pay for
Comment:
I wasn't impressed with this item. My silent video cards got way too hot without the extra airflow from my old fan CPU cooler contributing from it's fans. It looked great and I believe it was constructed very well but it didn't out perform my Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU Cooler. I have a Tempest case. The Cooler Master way out performed the H50 and for less than half the price.

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:Blows either hot air IN to your case

Pros:Does not take up alot of space on your mobo
Comment:
A good option for those who want some decent cooling, but cant fit in a comparable air cooler. It's definately not as good as the better high price range air coolers, but it's not some huge bulky tower on your mobo either. Also allows you to easily fit an air cooler on your ram if you have one. Make sure to get a second fan for push/pull.

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:Plastic parts. (Cheap plastic. Same issue I have with the 800Ds plastic parts. Makes a good product seem cheap.)

Pros:Easy to use.
Comment:
Feels pretty solid. (Minus the plastic brackets of course.)I have yet to actually use it. Will update/complete when I get my new mobo and can put this to use.*** star rating is temporary and just a place holder. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-15-09 08:44 AM

excellent cpu coller
Comment:
After installing the Spin-Q and being disappointed with it's performance on my I7 1366, I tried this as an alternative. My idle temps on the Spin-Q was close to 47c at idle(stock) and close to 70c at 100% load. After installing the H50 my idle temp is 34c and 100% load 54c. I might add in overclocked mode it was around the same. I am very pleased with it's performance and highly recommend this cooler for the I7, it was very easy to install. I am using 2 fans(push-pull exhaust), this was a great cooling solution!

It does what it is meant to do - cool down the CPU
Comment:
Depending on the access to the back of your motherboard you will have to pull the the motherboard to attach the mounting bracket. This drops the CPU temp down in half in my Full Tower Air Cool Case. It comes with all the wiring and mounting brackets you need for Intel and AMD. There is a way to install this unit without removing the board (I did it) but it is my own way and screwed not glued (LOL).

CORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler
Cons:Unfortunately, it stopped running after around 30 days of using. Can't really blame Corsair because I use their RAM, PSU, and CPU heatsink so I think I have to get another H50 when the price is right.

Pros:Keep my Q9550 factory clocked idle at 43 and load at 65. With stock fan, idle at 56, load at 78. So very effective product.
Comment:
Very cool product but mine is unfortunately not working for some reasons. Will get one when the price is lower.

So, is this only for Intel or can I hook up my AMD
Comment:
I have a Phenom 955 packed with goodies in a mid tower and it stays a little warmer than I'd like. This seems just the trick. The scary part is the Phenom instructions say the AMD HSF are the only ones you can run with it. I'd like some opinions before I buy this cooler. I had to enter ratings in order to submit this. If I buy it I will come back and repost.

Worth the money! Keeps 25c-45c Temp.
Comment:
Just a few things you need to know. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG if you have either a 775 or 1156 socket. The instructions list the back plate holes wrong. IF YOU WISH TO PUT THE PINS IN THE RIGHT HOLE YOU MUST LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE BACK PLATE!! THEY ARE CORRECTLY LABELED THERE. Also when you put the pump or plate on you might want to go back 2-3 days later and check the tightness of the screws. I found putting this on fun. Even though I had to remove my motherboard completely its well worth the work I did to install it. Even after I had to figure out and correct the false instructions. I love it!

Comment:
Be very careful with this cooler. There is no way to monitor coolant levels what-so-ever. Also, it's 100% sealed, so if you open the lid to refill coolant, you WILL void the warranty! If this cooler dries up for whatever reason, you're pretty much screwed.
