-Uncomplicated to install You do require to eliminate the mb from the case-Quiet No noise from the pump-Lowered temps at idle 74fታc room - 28c w/fans high - 32 w/fans low-Lowered temps at full load 74fታc room - 42c w/fans high-Additional room on my motherboard No sharp edges and not in the way of ram Hard to bend hoses. Worked fine for me, but if you have a mid-sized case, it's something to feel about. I've got a major case so this was a really straightforward fit. I had some extra fans around, so I set up a push/pull combo. With the stock four heat tube AMD heat sink things were fine at stock speed. When I tried some overclocking, I couldn't get adequate heat away from the chip. At three.8mhz, I'd get to 64*c throughout a full load test. Having the temp down, I can now get to 4Mhz. A two hour test at full load stays at 42c! I never ever tried it with the stock single fan. I went to the Corsair page and got the screws they said - The ones you require for 25mm thick fans ought to be 6-32 x 1ŕǚ. That's what you'll need to have to do the push/pull setup.

For my high-end method this cooler keeps my cpu temps way down. I added the extra fan and use it as a intake, not an outtake, and it works fantastic with my 6 fan technique. Two front in's, 1 side in, the two on the radiator and one out at the best. I have but to even exceed regular gaming temps at extreme settings. Somewhat cheap value for a liquid technique, no want to change liquid, no want to see it, no upkeep needed at all. Being I don't have a "look at me" side display panel on my case, I have no need for a more than-the-leading liquid cooling system that the majority of us, even the extreme gamers, would by no means want other than for show. Regrettably, there are only two cons and only 1 brings the rating all the way to 1, I'd give Corsair a ZERO if I could. The smaller con is the fact the directions say only tighten to snug, nicely getting the cooler bracket was stressing on my mobo lengthy just before I reached snug status I had to do trail and error with the tightness, worked out fine. The second con is the rating killer, Corsair only offers a buyer 21 days to finish rebate, this may well not appear like a huge deal but it is. There is definitely no reason to lower the time frame from 30 to 21 days other than to get out of having to pay what they OWE. This is a pet peeve for me, I can\'t let it go. To best that off Corsair were jerks about it and would not give me any leeway. I have 7 other rebates going in the mail currently, the 25th day, and the two Corsair rebates are the only ones with 21 day limits. I will try to talk with Corsair 1 additional time, if they step up and do what's appropriate I will reply back.

Great at keeping temps low. Barely additional costly than a great fan, and way better efficiency. Have to get rid of motherboard for installation, but this is true for almost all heatsinks. Just be aware you have to do it. My old Q6600 had a low core temp of 26 C and a high core temp of 63 C though running large FTT tension test on prime95 with stock HSF and at stock speeds. Running the identical test with the H50 installed, once again at stock speed, gave a low core temp of 19 C and a high core temp of 40 C!Was able to overclock the Q6600 from two.4Ghz to three.6Ghz with a 4 hour anxiety test at 100% load giving a high core temp of only 60 C. So my Q6600 at three.6 Ghz with the H50 is still cooler than it was at 2.four Ghz with the stock HSF.

Keeps my i5 2500k 4ghz at 30c idle and 50c full load. I haven't built yet another laptop ahead of, so I can't tell if that's any very good, but my old prebuilt used to chill at 50c idle. Was fairly easy to install, immediately after I figured out how to mount the waterblock. None to speak of, although again I genuinely can't tell what the price/performance ratio is on this factor, having nothing to compare it to. I'm not a personal computer expert, and this component was utilized during my 1st develop. Enthusiasts, ignore what I have to say.

Keeps Phenom II 560 under 30c even at four.2ghz.With phenom 560 unlocked to a 4 core and OC'd to three.8ghz, temps by no means rise above 34c in the course of Prime95.Ambient temp is 21c.This cooler keeps my CPU cool enough that I'm very easily able to reach its stablility limits nicely just before the thermal limits.I'm really impressed with this cooler. Idles @ 28c, which is higher than other coolers I've utilised. Corsair doesn't list fans specs for the H50 on their website.Newegg doesn't list the static pressure and/or fan curves for most fans. It's so quiet that I can't tell if it's running. I wish they would have included a standard flow indicator.Included installation documentation is really vague. Watch the videos from corsair that show how to mount it. It is quite effortless to mount when you know what you are performing. I've remounted this cooler various instances when switching motherboards, so all temps are with Arctic Silver 5. I've read claims that the factory thermal paste is superior, but I never ever got to use it. I have also not however added my second fan for a push-pull setup. Althought with the performance I am seeing I think it is a waste of income to add a fan. But I already purchased it so I may well as well use it.Purchased H50 from a nearby retailer when it was on sale for considerably much less.People require to study fan specs prior to they arbitrarily opt for a replacement fan. According to asktheramguy, whom corsair tech support redirected me to, the stock fan specs are 59.05CFM with a static pressure of 3.57mm H2O. For a push-pull configuration I opt for the Scythe SFF21F that has 63.7CFM with a static pressure of three.78mm H2O. Without having having fan curves readily available to see the exact performance of the fans, this is about as close of a match as you can ask for.

Fairly fast install, excellent results. On a phenom II x4 965BE overclocked to four.1ghz, replacing the stock cooler with an H50 brought the CPU temperatures down a great 23 degrees (Celsius!). Idle temperatures drop a good 18 degrees. Operating blend on Prime95 peaks at 55 degrees. Also, extremely quiet. The pump is the quietest cooling device in the whole case. Don't be alarmed if it gurgles a bit when you connect it for the first time, it goes away inside a minute. It's a bit difficult to get the pump locked in on best of the CPU, you have to make confident that you have the screws on the mounting bracket just BARELY threaded in, pull up on the bracket as a lot as you can, slide the pump in, and twist it clockwise to lock, then tighten the screws. That was a bit of a discomfort in the rear.A couple of far more screws for the radiator/fan would be good too, a lot of folks use push-pull setups (one fan on either side of the radiator pushing air into the radiator then sucking it out and out of/into the case), and I'm a bit wary to just have two screws on each and every fan. I genuinely can't justify removing an egg for a potentially complex install and only giving you 4 screws for the radiator. I've built my own computer but that's the most extensive perform with computer hardware I've carried out to date, if I can replace my motherboard and install 1 of these inside an hour... Push-pull setup is working excellent for me, basically 1 fan on either side of the radiator.

So I order this for him and soon purchased one for myself. As generally new-egg rocks and are apparently utilized to the V8 getting returned due to the fact folks didn't check the size of that monster. But anyway. This kept my 1090T more than clocked to 4g at 33c Idel and Running EQ2 with it on High Quality with a Fermi 560 video card at 44c. That is quit impressive. I would by an additional of these in a heart beat, great job on this 1 corsair

This heatsink is super quiet. I had all six cores of my AMD Phenom II x6 1090t running at full load and my case created no far more noise than it did prior to running at full energy. Putting it on was a bit of a pain. I guess its due to the fact I had general expertise on the product so I type of knew how to put it on. Follow the instructions. Definately a great item for an enthusiast, or somebody who desires a quiet machine under peak load.

Excellent cooling for those of us that don't want to go with water cooling or for those of us that don't like those giant oversized radiators hanging on our high-priced motherboards. Keeps my i7-860 ʃ.6 at 28c Idle and 65cኧc full load. The load is high but due to the fact i got a lot of hot toys inside the case helping with that. In order to get the very best out of this cooler I had to replace the stock fan that come with it and add a different for a push and pull setup. Go get the H70 if you have the space on your case for it. Larger radiator and comes with the push pull setup.

extremely quiet, keeps my cpu cool a bit of work to install and worth it, radiator gets incredibly dirty soon after a lengthy period of time so you might want a go at it with the air can once each year or something. 2nd 1 i brought, believed about the h70 but critiques on them dont seem to be impressive enough for the extra price, and a few of the other new coolers are sooooo massive that i don't want to bother with em in case there to huge to install, running push/pull with air going out. with a low db antec fans

Wow Phenom II x4 965 runs 15-20C cooler! One of my very best investments. four Factors1. Installation needs you take your mother board totally out of its case to get a unique back plate installedtwo. The radiator hoses are a little to lengthy and getting the radiator mounted is a entire diverse game. 3. You require to thread screws by means of the back of the case by way of 2 holes in a fan and then into the smallest screw holes I have ever seen. I had to get my friend to hold the complete thing steady even though I got it secured.About 6 months immediately after installation I removed the radiator for a my bi annual dust cleaning and it was nearly clogged and to make matters worse that whole ordeal of receiving the fan assembly back in place stripped 2 of threads on the radiator which are on 1mm thick aluminum no wonder I called up Corsair for a replacement but the customer support line had horrid wait times 2 out of the 3 times I had to call, 20 and 40 min respectfully. It got sorted ultimately following I explained they would leave me with out a pc unless i dismantled a quad xfire and RAID configuration to put the regular cooler plate back on, ultimately I got them to send me the replacement prior to I sent them the old 1. All and all fantastic item would suggest with caution, the h60 may be a superior bet though.

Easy install. Cools decently properly. Fairly quiet. Not as excellent as some extremely high performance air coolers, but uses much less space. Weigh your priorities. No air flow for the components near the CPU. So, don't use a cheap board with Chinese parts. I am running an i7 920 ʃ.9GHz. I have it pulling in cool air from outside the case working with two 120 fans in push/pull configuration.Right now, I am prime95'ing it ʃ.7GHz with no errors at 85C which is 60C over ambient.I am going to gut it soon and use it flow via a 3x120 radiator. This should aid a lot.BTW, I lapped my 920 and brought the temp down by 25C at load. It was ridiculously uneven. I is now perfectly flat and mirror completed. Prior to lapping it flat, I installed every thing with out any thermal compound to see how nicely the metal mated. At idle in BIOS, it ran up to 63C.Soon after lapping the best of the processor to a mirror copper finish, I installed every thing without having thermal compound again and saw 31C at idle. Wow, what a distinction. The best of the proc was a lot greater at the corners.I reinstalled every thing with compound, and now my load temps are 25C lower.

Fairly uncomplicated to install, takes less room than your regular high-good quality air cooler, and performs like a champ! 1100T processor OC'd 500mhz above stock nonetheless has temps under below 30C though under full load. Finest cooler I've owned so far. Nothing really - install is a little cumbersome, but is appropriate on par with a cooler such as this. (You have to have your motherboard out to add a backplate - not actually a con, but I figured I'd mention it). Worlds apart much better than each stock coolers and air-only versions.

Bought this on sale for 50 bux, but it isn't as good as I thought it would be. I think you'd be better off buying the A50 (20bux) or the A70(30bux) air cooling from Corsair. It keeps my i7-960 at around 45C at idle and goes up to around 60C during gaming. The idle temps aren't nearly as good as I thought they would be. It's a good cooler I am still using it and I like it, but for the money you could get something quite a bit better!

Cons:None so far

Pros:Keeps overclocked processor cool (low 30s)Sleek DesignEasy installationWorks with LGA1155 too
Comment:
Bought this with the intention to overclock an i5 2500K and it kept it very cool with low 30s being the average. After overclocking to 4.6Ghz, it was still in the low 60s and by the time it reached 5.0Ghz it was in the mid 70s so I clocked it back down.Installation was pretty to do if you watch the youtube video, if you have a LGA1155 socket then follow the 1156 installation. They're both the same design and will work.
