Wireless at an affordable price.
Comment:
Need to network some new PCs in a school and opted to go wireless instead of pulling Cat 6 in to each classroom. Quick, easy and painless.

Too much time
Comment:
Device kept appearing and disappearing during configuration. Might work in a different slot, but it is worth my time fiddling with it?

GOOD FOR THE PRICE
Comment:
I installed it on XP Sp3 and had to search hour and hour to find the correct driver.... no cd in box... After many try , I realize that this piece need the driver version 1 both version 3 installed at the same time..... So now it work great and I thinks this product is very good for the price !

unacceptable product
Comment:
When using this product with XP the Netgear install software modifies the XP logon such that you must logon on every time you boot. I asked Netgear about this and they said that is the way the software MUST work. This is unacceptable. My Hiro adapter doesn't do this.

Great deal
Comment:
I ordered 2 of these and installed them on my desktop in the basement and on the desktop upstairs in the bedroom office. The Basement one has a very weak signal and will not receive any higher than 1 mbps. It is only 15 feet away from the router but the router is up in the bedroom office. the one in the bedroom office is perfect. They both set up easy and quickly. good value for the price.

A cheap solution for a wireless card. Opened it up, installed drivers, worked great. For $10, you can't beat it.

Not a very good card
Comment:
The driver disables fast user switching and requires a login even if there is no password. Annoying that no driver disk is included. Card never got full speed even from router about 35ft away. Replaced with different adapter and all of these problems went away. Would not recommend this to anyone.

1 Problem
Comment:
Installed software, Installed card, While connecting to my router I got a blue (hardware error) screen. After restarting pc, it changed the way users logged in. The 'Use The Welcome Screen' & 'Use Fast User Switching' boot up options were both disable and could not be enabled. Long story short, a box popped up informing me a .dll had been modified, I believe the name was Gina.dll. Did some research and found a online fix & all is well. Card works well and pulls in a very good signal. Oh, installed this on XP with mutiple user accounts. I hear it installs fine on XP with single account.

Great price! Great product! Strange software!
Comment:
The only problem that I encountered was that on Windows XP the software will alter the way that you have to login. This only happens if your computer is set to automatically log in at the boot. It changes it to a more individual log in. A search gave me the answer to fix this by altering the registry. It was quick and easy.
