What additional can I add with all the praises for this cooler out there. I got the U9B for my wife’s Computer and I liked how straightforward it was to place with each other. So I got this larger 1 for myself and I appreciate how significantly thought is behind the design of the mounting system. For those of you complaining about the lack of instruction, just orient the parts with the photos prior to you place it with each other. That need to make it easy for you, plus the advantage of holding just a great piece of engineering marvel in your hands. Can’t feel of any. Perhaps the bracket screws are too soft that I practically strip 1 when I had to unmount the cooler. But it was possibly my fault for tightening them too a lot. The fans on the cooler can be shifted up or down slightly. So if your RAM module has a tall heatsink, then you can slide the fan up a bit to clear the RAM module. The beauty of the mounting clips is that you can also shift them up a few cooler blades when you put the clips on. Of course, the quantity of shift depends on how considerably area (at least additional than 8 inches in width) the personal computer situation has.One more handy bit about this cooler is the supplied low-noise adapters. I don’t use them with my cooler because my motherboard can manage the speed adjustment. The low-noise adapters have a tiny in-line capacitor to cut down on the voltage passing by way of. My case has a blue ring light on the front panel that is just a bit as well bright. So I put one particular of individuals low-noise adapter on it and now the blue light is just a low warm (or awesome because of the color) glow. Possibly you can locate other useful way to make use of the low-noise adapters.

Does a excellent job of cooling. The color of the fans. Seriously, make them black. Something is much better than beige. I get temps. of about 31C on a stock clock i7-920 idle. Honestly, I was hoping for a bit more for the price tag. I was hoping for below 30C. Possibly that is a bit much, but I could get the same temps with a less costly heatsink. Good heat sink. I can't genuinely complain, but I do assume there are more affordable selections that would do the similar point.

Twice the size of the stock AMD cooler. Utilised the other integrated fan as a side panel case fan. No matter if its intel or amd, all accessories are integrated. incredibly nice item that performs properly.

Awesome cooler. Keeps my new i7-875 in check even when I try and kill it by overclocking =PIt also comes with 2 incredibly nice Noctua fans. They are amazingly silent. I wish my psu wasn't so loud now . . .The mounting method is amazingly basic and fits perfectly. Massive. This issue barely fits in my P182 situation. The mounting method for the fans is a little annoying at initial, but following you figure it out it works.

I have this sitting on a i7 920 OC'd to three.36ghz. Temps on idle sit about 36C and hit 59C on load. Ambient is 70F. Prime95 tested for 8hrs. Keeps the CPU cool and the fans are pretty quiet even running at max. The fans push a lot of air. Seems to be nicely constructed and does it's job properly. The integrated Noctua thermal paste has been tested as greater than Arctic Silver five, and you get a good sized tube. The directions were easy to follow. The fans are a strange earth tone color. I would significantly choose something additional regular, like black. The cooler is really substantial. It leaves about threeǚ of an inch from the side fan in my HAF 922. The fans are seriously challenging to put back on if you take away the heatsink as soon as it is in your case. It is achievable, but significantly simpler if you take away the entire mobo. This may be a dilemma in my set up, and not really a fault of Noctua. Overall, I am quite pleased with this buy. It does specifically what I want it to do, and has surpassed my expectations. I would recommend this cooler to anyone, just make confident it will fit in your case.

Cons:- Quite pricey- Fan colours could be changed, but in most cases you won't see them anyways.

Pros:- Very quiet- Awesome cooling performance

From my stock Intel cooler on my 3570K I went from 35C to 28C at idle, and 60C to 49C while playing Diablo 3. With Prime95 my absolute max temps are at 60C, from 72C before. On top of all this, I can hardly hear the fans when at max speeds (mind you this is in a Corsair 550D). Before, the stock Intel cooler was ridiculously loud. This cooler has exceeded my expectations, and for this the price is justifiable. Great cooler, definitely recommended.

This item deserves 6 eggs. I've by no means purchased such an amazingly effectively-created and professionally presented piece of hardware prior to.As a cooler it functions phenomenally. But you can read other reviews to hear about that. I also can't say anything about the thermal poop, as I employed AS five (though I could give it a shot depending on what takes place with temps). That mentioned, you get a Major tube of their own.But I was honestly impressed with the presentation. The directions you get are extremely easy to stick to. The book doesn't have 73 languages or just vague photos. You even get an offset screwdriver in situation you don't have one to aid in installing the jackscrews. The fans themselves feel very nicely-made and are whisper-quiet. Comes with low- and ultra-low noise adapters (basically in-line resistors) so you can slow (quiet) the fans down if you can't do through motherboard. Even the tiny Noctua placard thingy you can put on your case is created of solid metal. You seriously get what you pay for! None. At all. If you seriously wanted me to list a con, I would say that the only point I didn't like was how extended the energy cords for the fans had been, but that's a dumb complaint - I just had to get inventive with hiding them. Did I mention that mentioned energy leads come wrapped in a rubber sleeve to preserve them organized?By the way, the cooler is big - but not truly *that* huge. I have an EVGA FTW3 motherboard and the cooler with each fans comes up *RIGHT* to the edge of my RAM sticks (which have actually tall heat spreaders on them). It's slightly touching the one in DIMM 1, but that's no issue at all. All items deemed, as far as massive, potent coolers go, this is NOT the greatest a single I've noticed. It's also somewhat lightweight. Bravo Noctua.

quite good price tag Will not mount on an ASUS P6x58D Premium in a Cooler Master CM 690 II. All the measurements show that it must fit, but the way the motherboard sits puts the lower mounting holes slightly beneath the bottom edge of the cutout, and leaves a ton of space at the prime. I have emailed Cooler Master to see if there is an additional plate I can purchse, but have not received a response.

So far it has only been warm. under no circumstances hot.The montrocity stands so high i had to take away my side case fan to be able to close my situation. If it was just a 1Ǟ of an inch shorter then my side case fan would fit.

Good cooling and airflow with minimal noise Fan cords can get a bit in the way with out a small added work to secure them. This cooler does a wonderful job with minimal noise. It was straightforward to install on my new CPU and just fits in my P183 case from Antec (if you're receiving a smaller situation, check the measurements to be certain it will fit!). With this chiller I was able to very easily overclcok my i7-920 by over 1GHz devoid of heating the chip above 75C even right after operating under an extended full load.

It has various adapters if you want to use much less power and make the fans even quieter. You can use 1 or 2 fans, whatever suits your demands. Everything about it seems high excellent. I had enjoyable installing it. It comes with heatsink compound, so no will need to purchase far more.

Cons:The fins of the heatsink can be tricky to clean since they trap dust but this is a problem for every heatsink tower out there.Large size can obstruct RAM module on the RAM slot closest to the CPU socket on an ATX sized motherboard. This is also a problem with all heatsinks in this size range though.

Pros:Extremely high build quality.Cools like a fridge.Sturdy mount.Whisper quiet fans.

This is the best air cooler in this size range. Twin 120mm fans keep my i7 2600K at 58 celcius max at 4.5Ghz with 100% load after running Prime 95 for 2 hours.Highly recommended for any builder who doesn't want to go for larger heatsinks but still wants to overclock by at least 30%.There are some installation problems with high profile RAM, however, these problems exist for all heatsinks of this size or larger:#1 - For an ATX sized board: If you want to install RAM in all the RAM slots, make sure you you buy a low profile RAM module for the RAM slot closest to the CPU so that the back 120mm fan of the heatsink installs easily.#2 - For a micro ATX sized board: It is best to have all your RAM modules be low profile.

Very straightforward installation. I just built my first Pc and I was so scared of placing this enormous factor on top of my 300$ i7 920. I utilised the small step by step guide included in the box and I had no issues at all. The fans clip on Really easily, not sure what other men and women are complaining about. Beige fans, WHY!??! anything but beige.. Maybe I will paint them :) They give you a sweet Noctua Owl head sticky for your case, it looks significantly cooler than the little stickers most companies provide.. I really like Noctua, I will be a buyer for life!

Exceptional high quality, flawless overall performance. Quiet even at full load. Handles an overclocked E8400 CPU with no difficulties whatsoever. Mounting is effortless, except... ...except for mounting the fans in a tight spot. The wires that hold the fans to the heatsink are fidgety, specially with massive hands. Not a huge deal if you take your time. The results are effectively worth it. EP45-UD3P mobo, ATCS 840 case. Installed six months ago. This is a very high good quality piece of kit; you completely get what you spend for.

Very good solid product with simple to comprehend instructions. Noctua does make some outstanding heat sinks. However I couldn't use this wonderful item. Creating a new program and employing 16gb of Corsair Vengeance memory. Which have some pretty high heat spreaders on them. Immediately after checking Noctua's website there is not a to mount the heat sink with a 90 degree turn. So only other options would be to get rid of two sticks of memory or remove the heat spreaders off of two sticks of memory. The motherboard becoming utilized is MSI 890FXA-GD65. So make positive your memory sticks either don't have heat spreaders or have quite low profile heat spreaders. I don't believe Intel boards have this troubles simply because I think on most Intel sockets you can turn this heat sink if required. Just not on AMD boards.
