Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:- May not fit all cases/mobos
Pros:+ 2 silent fans on the heatsink+ Keeps oc'd proc at 45c under load Comment:
This heatsink is amaizing! Yes it is rather expensive, but it is an investment if you plan on overclocking. Keeps my AMD Phenom II X6 overclocked to 3.8ghz at 45c max on heavy loads, and it idles around 28-30c. The best part is that I can't even hear this thing. If you can fit this in your case then your good to go. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:None come to mind
Pros:Price was fair, pretty good heat sink, solid brand. Comment:
I was considering this heat sink along with the coolermaster 212. Ultimately, I decided to purchase this one when it went on sale for $49.99. Think about it. It includes 2 fans that retail right now for $19.99. You're literally paying $10 for the heat sink itself. What more can you ask for? |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:Couldn't be uglier.
Pros:Incredible cooling. More quiet than case fans. Solid mounting. Easy to apply TIM. Comment:
This thing just cools too well, I had a Zalman CNPS10X Extreme installed by ncix when I purchased my whole computer and had 33 degrees Idle temp (NCIX put too much thermal paste) and it was covering the first ram slot. This Noctua cooler allows me to use all ram slots and I hit 15 degrees celsius with all 4 cores in the first night I installed it lol, mustn't be legit tho...I guess this is the best HSF to purchase (especially in rebate at 50$) |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:Ugly fans but is that really a weakness?
Pros:Cool, quiet Comment:
Keeps my i7 920 v 4.0GHz. Good heatsink that has served me well. Would make the same purchase 100x over if I had to do it again. When my computer was being assembled, they did not put the heatsink fans in push/pull config. If you are getting the assembly option with your purchase, ask them if they could put the fans in push pull. You'll notice a 1-5'c drop in temps ;) |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:Size
Pros:CoolQuietWell documented compatibility Comment:
I have two of these, the one I placed onto my 775 based CPU, has brought down the CPU temp from 70C idle (with stock fan) to 30~40C on idle.On my i7, I have not managed to see a single core over 42CNot alot of products I would trust on my CPU. This is one of those exceptions. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:Very big, hard to attach fans, sharp
Pros:Quiet, cool, effective Comment:
This heatsink barely fits in my case and it covers two of my RAM DIMM slots, but oh my gosh is it effective. I'm using a total of 5 Noctua fans and the whole system is whisper quiet. In addition, the processor is a AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition with all six cores overclocked to 3.6GHz, and even after an hour of stress testing, the processor never got above 52C, or 6C higher than the North Bridge temperature. I'm positive I could even get it running much faster, but I haven't tried. It is, however, relatively expensive and attaching the fans is tortuous. But once you're done installation it's worth it. For reference, the motherboard used was a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 in an Antec 300 case. |

Cons:Length of fan cables is just a bit excessive
Pros:Quiet (using LNA)Great coolingFans are amazing Comment:
This is my third i7 build and the first using the Noctua cooler. Previous to this I had used the Hyper 212 plus, and I have to say I find this to be much superior, both in cooling and noise. Next time I think I'll try the big brother. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:rather large size
Pros:ease of installation,compatibility, performance Comment:
I was originally reluctant to buy a tower cooler for my i7 build, i've had some troubles with tower coolers in my previous p4 build a couple years back, and stuck with the intel cooler for my q6600 buildbut researching on this product and taking the plunge i am impressed with the ease of installation and the performance of this coolerinstall is EXTREMELY easy and straightforward, pretty hard to mess it up given that you work with the motherboard out of case.included instructions are simple and easy to followword of warning though, using tower coolers in general will take away the cooling you may get for the northbridge if you used hsf's that blow directly onto the cpu, not really a fault of this product in particular but make sure you are aware of thatthis cooler was used with gigabyte x58a-ud3r in a P182 caseon this motherboard the fan will block the usage of ram with tall heatsinks in slot 1 ONLY, standard height ram is fine. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:-colour of fans-Corsair H50 would have been a better choice at this price
Pros:-Solid Construction of fans, no flexing when pressure applied like my Gelid Silents-very quiet (with lna)-fully sleeved cables-Excellent cooling Comment:
The Heatsink tower on this unit is fairly standard, nothing special. however the fans on this thing is amazing. It is very solid and doesn't bend with pressure is applied at the weakest point unlike the $5 Gelid's i have in my case. I'm able to achieve 30C idle and 25C with speedstep. |

Cons:The fan cords are a bit long for my taste.
Pros:Comes with two high performance fans. Comment:
Bought this for my first i7 build and I'm happy with my purchase. I suggest to make sure your case has enough clearance if you have fan on your side panel, otherwise you'll have to mod the panel or leave the panel off. |

Cons:-None
Pros:-Quiet-Got a good price-Good temps-Easy install-Simple instructions-Free screw driver-Great fans Comment:
Had to replace my stock HSF since it wasn't making proper contact with the i5 750. I got this cooler at a great price since I picked up PP. It is very quiet and keeps my CPU cool. Idle is 30-35C and load is 58-64C across all four cores. Haven't over-clocked the CPU yet but I will be doing that soon. |

Cons:Too big.
Pros:Cool. Multisocket. Dualfan. Comment:
Very good heatsink. Too big for MSI X58 Pro. Covers a part of North-Bridge. North-Bridge rises to 90 degrees. i7 CPU stays cool at 30 degrees. Used additional spot cooler for North-Bridge. |

Cons:the heatsink is huge.
Pros:installed on a i5 750. The fan is quiet and appears to be doing a great job cooling at 5V. stock idle temps are in the high 20s to low 30s Comment:
Overall very satisfied with the fans/heatsink combo. I can barely hear the computer is on. Your ears will thank you for buying a Noctua product |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:Big as hell.
Pros:Very good cooling, high grade parts, looks good. Comment:
I put this unit in about a month ago. A few notes, read the instructions, the back plate must be put on properly, you can but it one wrong (as I did) but you add massive amounts of tension on the mobo in all the wrong places. Also if you have RAM with large heatsinks make use this fan will have enough clearnace. Personally I found this fan to be no quitier then my stock Intel fan, but I suspect my Antec p182 fans are what I still hear. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:-the splitter which allows you to connect both fans to your mobo only supplied power to one fan for me
Pros:-Silent-Keeps CPU around 26 degrees idle Comment:
The only gripe i have with this product is the splitter. As i had already installed the heatsink I didnt really want to RMA so i connected one fan to an open port, not too big of a deal. Regardless of this i recommend this heatsink. |

Great Cooler!!
Comment:
I bought this one because it said it has easy install, cools great, and is quiet - it is all three. Although it states with the i5 and i7 chips, you have to remove the motherboard, I did not. I was able to remove both sides of my case cover and get the screws threw (barely). Anyways it cools Great and it is Quiet - both of which I was looking for. |

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:None
Pros:This is one of the best heatsinks I ever owned and used. Comment:
This heatsinks is the best ever, I'm getting 31 Degrees Celcius at idle and under 45 at load with a Intel Core i7 930. IT IS A MUST HAVE heatsink if your planning to go core i7 or i5. |
Using this cooler with a core i7 930. Idle temperature hovers around 34 degrees. With the stock heat sink, all temps are about 10 degrees higher on average. I was uncomfortable with the high heat generated by the core i7 under heavy load, and hopefully this heatsink will extend the processor's life. For overclockers, this is a great cooler, especially when on sale. At regular price, I probably would have considered alternatives that were cheaper but provided similar cooling levels.
