The cooler was easy to install, nice bundle too. When running at 800rpm, you can barely hear it.My stock i5 runs at ~ 22 when idling.

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:- Large cooler; not fitting in some cases- A little too pricy on NCIX in my opinion.

Pros:- Very competitive price for the buck- Comes with two fans of 120mm for the cooler. - Great cooler, can compare itself to the TRUE
Comment:
This is really a huge cooler, it will cool effiently your core i7 because of its size. However you would likely more look into the Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 as it is less costly and could go farther if you wish to put another fan in it.

IT'S A NOCTUA!
Comment:
IT is big, cool and COOL! Love it. Had another one in mind but for the price difference and the percent cooling difference not worth it. Awesome product. Look for their new 140 MM fans.......have three more of their 120's. Go NOCTUA

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 120mm SSO CPU Cooler - Retail
Cons:ExpensiveSome instructions unclearLarge

Pros:Amazing performanceVery quiet even with 2 fans
Comment:
This barely fits in my full tower Antec 1200, leaving about 1cm between the HSF and the side panel. Also, the second fan will be difficult to fit if you have an EVGA x58 motherboard as the chipset fan gets in the way. This is also pretty expensive relative to other HSF, but it's performance is definitely well worth it.IMO the only heatsink that can compete with this is the Thermalright TRUE which is also around the same price, looks nicer but doesn't perform as well (although very similar, temperature difference is almost negligible)This HSF keeps my Core i7 at 2.66ghz at 25C idle and around 40C load, excellent performance. If you have a big enough case and enough money, I would definitely recommend this HSF This review was modfied by poster @ 11-25-09 07:13 PM

Good performer
Comment:
Good CPU Cooler. Does an excellent job of cooling the CPU and is a dramatic improvement over the Intel i7 boxed cooler. Assembly leaves me wishing they'd invested just a bit more in design however. The metal spring clips that secure the fan to the heatsink fins are quite fussy to attach given the limited working space available and they cannot be installed until the unit is attached to the MB. Another approach would receive greater points of Features and Quality.

Cons:BigExpensive

Pros:QuietEasy to installComes with fans and thermal pasteCool as a cucumber
Comment:
Of all of the heatsinks I've installed this is easily my favorite. One kit fits all major sockets, easy installation, great instructions. On top of that it comes with 2 top notch fans and thermal compound! I can't say enough good things about this. It's huge but man does it do the job. Cools as well as, if not better than, any heatsink (Sunbeam, Xigmatek, Scythe) I've ever used.

how sweet is this cpu cooler
Comment:
Man im happy with this. I put this in my full size Haf,p6t,i7-920. I mounted it blowing up into the 210mm fan on top. this seemed better than blowing it sideways into the small 120 coolmastr fan as i doubt it can keep up to the noctur fans. my idle temp is 27c. 55c at 100% cpu load. havnt oc'ed it yet, but theres lots of room to do so with the temps i got. Sharp looking. Fans are second to none. Set up was easy. Instructions are easy read. Comes with good tube of thermal.

Pros:Huge heat dissipation.Fairly quiet

I'm pretty cheap and normally stay with stock fans, however this time after seeing all the possibilities with the i5 I decided to purchase this heatsink/fan. I'm so glad I did, and will definitely purchase Noctua in the future.Mobo: Asus P7P55D DELUXE CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 r 2.67GHz (OC 4.045GHz) RAM: Patriot Extreme Performance Viper 4GB 2X2GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 H/D: Patriot Warp V2 32GB SSD Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P SE2Heatpipe Cooler W/ 2XNH-P12 120MM Fans At 4GHz+ my temps and wattages were a little high, (52 degrees Celcius, 109W) but I've run AMD CPUs at 64C+ 24/7 for months.. so no big deal.

Despite a high price, and a huge size, the NH-U12P SE2 has kept my I7 860 running cool and quiet. Its kept my overclocked cpu (3.5ghz x stock voltage) at 40C when idle, and 61C when under heavy load.

Pros:great cooling, nice design, fans are not to loud, bottom of heatsink very smooth, easy install.
Comment:
I bought this hsf for my i5 build along with the p7p55d pro, I have yet to find anything bad about the hsf, other than that if my case was any smaller it would not fit i have a coolermaster stacker and could not replace the door with the 4 120mm fans that go into the side of the case, but that is no big deal. At stock clock the cpu was running at 22 celcius, with a 400 mhz overclock the cpu is now sitting at 21 degrees.

This is my first 3rd party cooler, and I have to say I am impressed. My q9550 was hot to begin with, and I was lucky if I could get a 3.0Ghz OC out of it with default clocks and stock fan. With this cooler, and bumping the voltages a bit I have managed to get it stable (Passed the "Very High" setting on IntelBurn Test - IBT) at 3.65Ghz. It idles at the same temps I had with the default cooler and clocks. Very cool! It hit 65C during the burn test. It hits 55C while playing games, more so CPU intensive games like TF2. I'd say anywhere from 48-55C while gaming.I am not necessarily a fan of the colour of the fans, but damn they are quite. I will be getting another one of these with the next motherboard I buy for my e6850. Until then I'll probably slap the e6850 back in here and see what king of OC I can get on it with this baby.

Pros:SilentComes with a large amount of thermal pasteKeeps cpu cool

Heatsink is simply amazing. Not only does it drop  the cpu temp well below what the stock heatsink can do it does it quietly. If you want a silent build go with this.

Pros:- Excellent Air Cooler- Very high quality built

I bought this CPU Cooler for my Core i7 860 (Socket 1156) since it was the only good CPU Cooler at the time, keeps my overclocked Core i7 860 (4.0GHz, 1.36v) idle at 34c, load 72c and ambient is 23c.

I don't like the look of the fans, but it's pretty obvious this thing is well built, very solid. Got this mounted on the i5 on friday.installation was AMAZINGLY easy, and there is nothing but cold air blowing out the back of my case.Sure, the fans are hideously ugly, but I can't hear them (even at full speed) and this thing is just awesome This review was modfied by poster @ 10-25-09 09:52 AM
