Cons:Overhangs 1st RAM slot.

Pros:Extremely quiet, excellent cooling, easy & secure installation.
Comment:
Installation was simple and feels very secure.Keeps the stock-clocked i7-860 under 33C at idle, 60C when running Prime95, and that's with one of the two fans installed (the pusher). Extremely quiet, virtually silent during normal computer usage.Overhangs the 1st memory slot such that the fan needs to be moved before inserting memory, and only clears a basic stick by 6mm such that memory sticks with cooling fins cannot be used in that slot (Gigabyte P55A-UD4P motherboard.)

Cons:costA little fidily to instalQuite large, needs big casehinders access to 1st stick of ram on my board

Pros:superior coolingalmost silent fansQuality of partsexcepional cooling abilityadded funcionality, for quit usegreat air flow in push pull set-upvery low temps observed on cpu in usevery solid/sicure when mounted
Comment:
I installed this cooler on my i5 cpu with asus p7p55d-e deluxe board primarily for the extra cooling and the Quitfans, it has done that in spades, monitoring temps in the low 30's and almost no sound. It was very important to me that my new build was quit. With cooler installed ,I was just able to fit the side panel of my Inwin Maelstrom full tower case and istalling the cooler was not terribly difficult , just fidily as I had to adjust fans so they would clear side panal. My Corsair xms3 cmx ddr3 ram in 1st slot just fit under cooler fan , if I had ram with taller heat-sinc it would not have fit. Instalation instructions were easy to follow and kit came with every-thing I needed. It would have been nice to get it on sale but I just could'nt wait to complete my build so I paid the reg price. Very happy with purchase ,does everything I wanted it to and more . I new installation would be tricky and above issues were not a surprize as I read alot of reviews before deciding on this cooler. Great product! good quality! would buy again!

Cons:None

Pros:Well BuiltGreat PerformanceEasy to installSuper QuietLots of accessories & options
Comment:
Installed on non-overclocked I5 750, stock speeds. 26 degrees at idle. Installed in an Antec 300 mini tower & although it fits it makes for a very cramped case... I would recommend a larger case for a cooler this big.I can barely hear it running 2 feet away & I didn't use any of the under volting adapters to make it slower/quieter.Would definately recommend this cooler.

Cons:-None *-Some people don't like the fan color (I love it)

Pros:-Nice looking cooler-Great performance-Very nice fans included-Solid construction-Secufirm mounting system
Comment:
I bought this on sale for $30 and was very impressed with performance/noise levels. Would buy again at full price. I've got my i5 750 at 3.6Ghz running at 30 C idle and ~55 C full load. Highly recommended and worth the price.

Cons:Very very tall. Does not fit in an Antec P193 case (unless you remove the "Big Boy" 200mm fan from the side panel - the "Big Boy" dips into the side of the case by a 1-2 cms and hits the top of the heatpipes.

Pros:Excellent cooler - silent! Just so happened that the way the fans pointed had the heat go towards my top exhaust fans.
Comment:
Excellent cooler, very easy to follow instructions. It's very tall though, and is 2 cm away from fitting into my case (Antec P193).

Cons:Heavy, very big, overlap memory slots 1 and 2 on most mainboard

Pros:Very easy to install, dumb proof, very efficient, SILENT
Comment:
This thing is very good, I would recommand it to anyone. Its silent (even without using the silent or very silent adapters) and very easy to install. The only problem is that it does overlap memory slots 1 and 2 on most motherboard, so memory with tall heatsink (like corsair) can't be used in those 2 slots.

Cons:- GIGANTIC- Most likely will need a full tower

Pros:+ Best cpu air HSF. Period.+ Keeps a Core 2 Quad to 25C idle, 32 load
Comment:
If you have a big mid tower or a full tower, you would be compromising if you didn't buy this!! Amazing HSF, extremely efficient and silent!! I put a couple more of those Noctua fans in the case, and along with a super quiet Zalman PSU, this thing is virtually silent. I recommend it to everyone who is doing air cooling!

Cons:big, not cheap, the nh-d14 is better (bigger though)

Pros:Cool very well, 28 at idle in an azza solano 1000 case, without removing the side fan, it's tight though, got it for 60 bucks, perfect and silent cooler for an i7 cpu, you won't regret it. Also, very easy mounting system, feels solide, good tim and lots of stuff in the package. The sticker is also very good, looks neat on your case along with the other stickers. Love the lna and the ulna for specific people.
Comment:
This thing is a beast, if you can afford it and if you have the space for it, go for it. Otherwise, if you want something better and about the same price, go for the nh-d14 from the same manufacturer, noctua always make high quality products.

Pros:quietcoolvery easy to installgreat package, the included thermal paste is top notch
Comment:
Despite it being huge and blocking off a channel of my ram slots, this thing runs very quiet and very cool. My i5 is running at 3.5ghz on stock voltage e mid 30s idle and high 50s load. My ambient temps are pretty high, 25 at least.

Cons:UglyBig

Pros:CoolQuiteSecured
Comment:
I have these on the Intel i5 750 overclocked to 4GHz. Full load on Prime95 large FFT gets around 75C max so I might need to clock it back a bit in the summer. The heatsink is very big, couldn't fit the G.Skill Ripjaw in the last slot of the Gigabyte P55A-UD4P motherboard because the fan was blocking the way.Wish the fan was a different color to match the rest of the system. The mount was very secured and sturdy, was pretty rough moving the case with everything set up and it didn't break off yet.The case fans are too loud and just overpowers the sound of the Noctua fans This review was modfied by poster @ 12-23-09 12:18 PM

Cons:Tried to clean the bottom of the heatsink before applying. The bottom is not flat, there are circular edges that increase surface area. Pain to clean.

Pros:Quiet and effective air flow.Heatsink is effective in lowering temperatures
Comment:
Noctua are very effective to provide a quiet computer especially paired with a fan controller. Comes with lots of components in case I want to upgrade to a different motherboard. 6 years of warranty for fan is awesome as I had to replace 2 and they shipped it to me right away!

Cons:...Large.

Pros:Large, powerful, effective cooling solution for your CPU.
Comment:
I was surprised. For having two 120mm fans on this cooler, it still runs rather nice and smoother. It does the job, especially with the two fans running in pull-and-push to keep the airflow through the cooler steady. Plus the thermal compound that comes with is great!...a bit unwieldy though. Make sure it fits in your case before you buy it!

Cons:-I have a 55-udp4 and the fan on the back blocks my first ram slot, if you have high profile ram, beware....(gskill ripjaws)

Pros:-Excellent build quality-Great looking-Quiet!!!!
Comment:
I Took my i5 2.66ghz cpu to 3.8 while changing about 3 or 4 things in the bios. My cpu sits at 32c at idle, and 60c at 100% load in prime95. My rooms ambient temp is probably around 25 and sometimes up to 29(close to a heating vent). I'm unsure of what i should be seeing for a oc that much, but to me, the temps seem perfect, and this thing is SILENT!

Cons:Metal clips holding fans

Pros:Build quality, performance, Easy Install (For the most part)
Comment:
First off, this thing is a beast: it's huge, the build quality is outstanding, and performance is excellent. The included instructions are clear and concise, with the exception of the metal clips used to hold the fans; assembling the majority of this cooler took 5-10 minutes, but it took me 15-20 minutes to figure out how the metal clips attach the fans. The metal clips are like two pieces of bent chicken wire, and stand in stark contrast to the solid, quality build of the rest of the unit.My gripe about the metal clips is a minor one, however, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I have this running on a i5 2.66ghz oced to 3.5ghz stock voltage. Temps are at 25-30 idle and 50-55 load in prime95 and 60 using intelburn test.I got this running in a haf 932 and is fairly quiet. I'd say the case fans the noise that i notice.

Cons:-Pricy when not on sale-HUGE Heatsink (for a good reason)

Pros:-Probably the best non-water cooling money can buy-Quiet for its size
Comment:
Got this a month back at regular price $79.99, then it went on sale 3 days later at $25.99 (ouch). Did feel the pain but even if I have paid the premium, its well worth it.I'm running i5 750 with Gigabyte P55-URD3 v 4.15GHz around the clock with no crash. Idle Temp at 30C and 100% Load at 55C.Recommended 5 friends so far and we all have the same system build around this unit. Money well spent, 2 thumbs up~Using AZZA Solano 1000 Case and it JUST fit - literally, so MAKE SURE your case is big enough for this giant. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-05-09 03:26 AM
