The drive worked excellent for the 4 or so months it was functioning.DO NOT Buy THIS. Buy FROM A Company THAT DOES NOT IGNORE THEIR Customers! OCZ's ticket method for RMAs is horrible. This drive is dead and I require a new one asap. The only thing that's happened on my so referred to as support ticket is that it has been acknowledged. That is ridiculous. Nonetheless waiting following getting a dead drive for 3 days to have someone from OCZ get in touch with me. Oh, and great luck trying to call them, I'm pretty sure no 1 at that corporation ever picks up a phone. I kinda figured this would suck as I've heard only bad factors about OCZs capability to serve their clients which is why I went ahead and purchased a new Intel SSD off newegg. Mine stopped working after only 7 months. OCZ RMA'd it but I refuse to put it back in. Too many horror stories with these drives. I do not want to do that again.replaced with Kingston V100 - not quite as fast but hopefully no failures. Have also heard the OCZ are also not as fast as 1st gen drives.

Very good SSD, Windows boots lightning fast. The size is the only downside and has nothing to do with the quality, the brand is great but I recommend a minimum of 120gb for a boot drive if you want to fit a few of your commonly used applications on it for quick load times.

SPEED! This drive definitely produced a huge difference in my method. My boot time was decreased by half and beginning programs like photoshop, maya, flash and so on. is now quicker then ever. I can\'t envision having a laptop or computer without having an ssd like this one in the future. Including the 3.five" drive tray is definitely sweet from OCZ. Price is great and worth it. None the 3.5" drive tray can be tricky to install if your case has tool-less drive bays. Mine does and i had to bend some pins so they can fit in the tiny holes of the included tray. Maybe OCZ could sort out a additional universal system I don't know.. Oh and i also had a tough time installing it in my friends Antec 9 hundred. But when you get it in location you forget all the trouble you had.

Installed Windows 7 and machine was amazingly fast compared to the previous hard drive (and quiet, I had no idea how much noise and vibration the hard drive normally creates until I booted to this drive).Unfortunately it was not all good. After a few restarts, the drive failed and was not being recognized by the BIOS. Sent back to NCIX and they promptly corrected the issue.Discussed this drive with a few other people, including another store that sells a lot of SSDs and they report that these drives will either work perfectly forever or they will fail within the first day.

Knew what i was getting a super fast small os drive it performs as advertised as far as i can tell windows boots up in record time only wish i could of afforded a bigger one to install more than 1 or two games on it plus the OS and apps.

Quickly. Boot time in Windows 7 is a lot quicker. I was in fact amazed at how a significantly distinction a hard drive created. Very first 1 died immediately after three days, but soon after RMA (extremely uncomplicated btw) I have been running great. I expect a percentage of electronic units to be defective, so drop on an egg as lengthy as this 1 remains superior.

Very straightforward to install, came with 3.5" bracket, quickly, quick, and fast. None What can I say, this drive is performing as advertised. A clean Win7 64-bit install only took about 15 mins, reboot times are absurdly quick, and this is all on a relatively slow AMD Athlon two processor. I can't suggest an SSD sufficient as a boot drive.Be sure to run your laptop or computer in AHCI mode, a good bet would be to search goold for "SSD Optimization" and go via one of the many guides offered on the world wide web to get this running just perfect. Everything is fantastic here and I appear forward to years of excellent performance..

My four stars is a little deceiving. I would definitely recommend this SSD to anyone, however, they also have a SATA3 SSD for $3 cheaper, also with 60GB. I would definitely use this drive for a main drive, the only issue is that it's a little small for a main drive. I would go for a minimum of 120GB for a main drive. Nonetheless, this is a great product. If you're reading this review and still aren't convinced, maybe look for a deal on a different brand like Kingston. I have of those too. They are only slightly slower (not noticeable by any means).

I bought this as a replacement drive for my 15" laptop. The speed improvement was phenomenal. Windows 7 boots in about 20 seconds, applications start almost instantly. Also rugged and quiet. Probably the best upgrade you can make for your laptop. No problems in the 10 months I have used it.

I receive the ssd install windows 64b all running fine about 5 hours after a update  nothing wase working the bios wase unable to detect the ssd...RMA to ncix this take 10 day to receive other one that why the best is buy directly at store for those part...

It boots up quickly and is much faster than my RAIDed HDDs. I haven't benchmarked it thoroughly but as an OS drive with a game or two on it I don't transfer to it very often and hence wouldn't notice or care if it was 'only' 80% of its rated speed.

Boots up windows faster then i imagined. i was considering getting the 120Gb, but the price jump was too great. However 60GB is enough for me to have my OS, Steam (with call of duty and a few more games) and still have ~10Gb left. I put all my other, not-as-important stuff on a 500GB harddrive.

Bought this last summer or so, I cannot be happier. Very noticeable improvement in my OS boot time and program load times.I use this for my OS and core apps, and a raid for games. An SSD is definitely one of the best upgrades one can do for a noticeable improvement.

Genuine SSD do not come formated. It's a bizarre twist.It is showing in the BIOS but not in Win7 explorer. Force Win7 to see it with :C:WindowsSystem32diskmgmt.msc... then you can format it and go on with your life.

Put my OS on this. Uses up the memory very quickly, I only have 20gb left, but it boots in ~15-20 seconds. Very cool looking, very fast. Nothing bad to say about this so far.

I built a new system in late September 2010 consisting of a ASUS P7P55D-E Pro and Intel Core i7 875K running at 3.8 GHz. The system I upgraded from was an DFI LAN-Party UT SLI-DR and AMD X2 4400+ running at 2.5 GHz, with a 74GB WD Raptor as the OS drive. Talk about a massively noticeable change in performance! Even when I encrypted my SSD using TrueCrypt, it still felt faster than the unencrypted Raptor.All my benchmarks were spot on as far as the ideal performance this SSD is supposed to give. There was a pretty big difference between the Intel and Marvell SATA controllers though, with the latter being a lot slower. i love the fact that it has allowed me to cut way back on what used to be major source of heat in my case, and it's silent too.My only pet peeve is the small amount of usable space. Combined with how much space Windows 7 requires compares to Windows XP (which I didn't know about), 55 GB just isn't enough. I've been considering RAID-0 with buying a second one, but with the whole 32nm vs 25nm thing going on, I'm not really sure if that is the best way to go. Hopefully prices will drop  soon so I can get something in the 120 to 180 GB range without losing an arm and a leg.

Boots 10 seconds from the moment my BIOS logo disappears to desktop, including password input (non-GUI boot). Runs at 30c. It's impossible to get the 32nm now, but out of the new 25nm ones, a whole batch had 64bit die size that fails IDEMA capacity. Make sure you use the OCZ toolbox to check the die size, if it says 64bit, RMA it for a 32bit die size one.

Researched this drive for a few hours, was convinced I was getting one of the best SSD's, the day I bought it I found out about the old "switcheroo" the company pulled on all us customers (or Suckers as it seems they took us all for), so I found a local buyer the day after I bought it, and bought an Intel 510 Series 120Gb SSD instead and haven't looked back since, the Intel is great, and they don't drastically change and lower SSD specs, design, and drastically lower performance without changing a part number and letting it be known...an honest company, two thumbs up.I've also been using OCZ Ram for as long as I can remember, after this I put it all up for sale and bought 8GB of the G.Skill 1066 DDR2 to try in my main rig, no complaints, it's great.OCZ has lost this customer once and for all, thanks for trying to pull one over our eyes and rip us off OCZ, you've lost this long time customer for good.

Bought this without knowing about the issue with the 25nm die size. Checked it and found that I have the 25nm one so I created a RMA ticket on OCZ website. Got the replacement within a week. Very fast processing. They replaced me with the 32nm one and it's running amazing. Had no issue installing Windows 7 on it.

I installed this in a LAN box and have had zero issues since day 1. I still needed a large mechanical drive next to it for certain uses, but the combination has worked marvelously.
