OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: 60gb is really not that much

Pros: Very noticeable speed improvements
Comment:
The speed you gain is definitely worth the price, especially when you are using programs such as photoshop (with plenty of RAM of course). Programs like Photoshop and Final Cut Pro loads very quickly, as well as the boot up time. However, 60GB is really limiting than I expected. After installing Windows 7, plus adobe creative suite, and games like starcraft 2 (which is 12gb), it fills up quickly that I ended up having to install some programs on another harddrive. But I dont think it's worth spending almost double the money to get higher capacity SSD, so it makes this one the best choice.

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: None - not even price. Got it for $100 at the door crasher special.

Pros: Incredibly FastGreat compatibilityEasy to use and install
Comment:
I absolutely love this drive. Installed it easily, and that was that. It already had the latest firmware on it (FW 1.11 as of time of writing this review) and was good to go. I had my storage configed as RAID (I have 2x WD Caviar Blacks 500GB in RAID0) and AHCI is a subset of RAID, and thus everything worked out beautifully. Definitely recommend.

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: N/A

Pros: Sandforce controllerSuperior Over-provisioningConsistent read/ write speedsIntel manufactured NAND chips inside.Silent
Comment:
This drive is amazing! I did a lot of research for several months on SSD's before buying one. I finally pulled the trigger on this one and I am truly amazed.Sandforce and OCZ have a certain partnership in regards to the firmware their drives support. This special partnership has led to OCZ ssd drives to have better firmware then ALL other ssd's using the Sandforce controller. One point would be the V2E has 28% over provisioning, compared to 13% for all the others! A read/ write of 285MB/s, 275MB/s, Intel made chips, comes with case adapter, NO noise! It's the best mainstream SSD in the world right now.I put together an i7 875k system recently, 2x 460's in SLi and everything. I thought it was pretty damn quick already, but after installing this it's like night and day! You don't know what fast is until you've installed one of these!

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: -only 60GB, enough for a boot drive and a couple commonly used games.

Pros: -Fast-Noticeable performance increase, game loading, system bootup,
Comment:
Compared to a hard drive, the drive provided such a noticeable response and bootup time increase that most normal drives seem slow. After owning it for a month, my only regret is that it is not larger to fit all my storage.I would not purchase it again, only because of the price. At nearly $200 after shipping and taxes, it is not worth the performance benefit. That's not to say I don't love it enough to keep it and enjoy it =)I rated it 5 stars because comparatively on the market, the drive is very competitive price-wise. The newer sandforce controller is reliable and an improvement over the indilinx controller of the original vertex.Visit http://hardware.maxfast.ca/ for a complete review.

Cons: pricey

Pros: quietfastsleek

I've had this drive for a few weeks now, and it's been a great experience so far. It's my first dive into the SSD market and I don't regret it. The only problem with getting it, is I want to get more of them now! So who knows if RAID0 is in the future. Enjoy.

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: - pricy- too much tweaking to be done for a SSD newbie like me- need to update  the firmware frequently

Pros: - speed- comes with adapter
Comment:
fast, but not as fast as i was expecting (lot of people claim ~15 sec boot time but i think ~30 sec is more accurate for average user, down from a minute) but still a good improvement over HDD This review was modfied by poster @ 08-27-10 01:07 PM

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: well mine just bricked after 2 weeks of usage. I did everything i was supposed to with a new ssd such as defrag and the rest, but it still bricked. Took back to store and they replaced it with a new one on the spot.

Pros: very fast. sandforce controller showed noticable performance over my other jmicron ssd with similar specs
Comment:
very impressive drive once it starts working, but make sure that you create  a backup once your os is installed with all the changes you made to all you configurations so that if it fails you won't have to waste so much time reinstalling everything again.

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: no

Pros: fast, excellent quality
Comment:
- 20GB left over after Windows 7 x64, Office 2010, NERO etc (no games)- very responsive, definitely worth the moneyIdeal gamer setup:1) 60GB SSD (Windows and apps)2) 300GB WD Velociraptor (for games, used to be my Windows drive)3) 2TB WD (backup, videos, pictures etc)*Note: I don't see a need for a super-fast hard-drive for games. It costs more, adds noise and is used only for the initial load and occasional map/level load. I'd recommend the above setup with just the SSD for Windows and 2TB drive for everything else. No need to partition the 2TB drive, however I'd add a folder called "GAME FILES" and install games inside it (i.e. e:GAME FILESBlizzard...).

Cons: none

Pros: FastReliableInexpensive
Comment:
I switched the operating system from a Velociraptor to this hard drive and there is a noticeable time drop  in startup, shut down and program loading. The constant firmware updates from OCZ to optimise their SSD drives are a great advantage to their competitors.

Pros: Super FastGreat Price

Noticeable upgrade even from my old 1st Gen SSDNOw. Supports Trim and has the great OCZ warranty. There are lots of other sandforce drives out there but OCZ constantly works on tweaking their firmware to make it even better.

Cons: Its too fast

Pros: Fast, very fast
Comment:
Using it as a boot drive and for a few apps+games. This thing is wicked fast; way faster than I expected; the cyber police can't catch me. Got it for $164 with a $25 MIR coming in the mail. Just make sure the drive is in AHCI mode for best performance

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: could be a little cheaper & larger of course :P

Pros: Preformance/price, quick load/install/processing times. Take's another $ away from the intel monopoly. :P
Comment:
I'll be the 1st to post on the drive. :PSingularly or these in a pair for a raid 0 setup especialy for intel users is a must !!game loadtimes are a joke now, in fact the 1 online free fps I play combat arms I can tell someone I'll brb in the game & litterly in a 20-30 second span I'll have closed out, restarted the client, logged back in & in the gameroom within a matter of seconds it seems !!setting a virtual drive on it as well installing a 6.4 gig game image might take like a minute & abit till its done.Must say IF you can afford 1 of these drives or the smaller ones to make as your main / os drive its a must PERIOD !!Also helps if you use the tweak guide at benchmark reviews. :)just of note this was installed on a Gigabyte GA-790X-UD4P DDR2 based board. :) This review was modfied by poster @ 07-24-10 02:12 AM

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: On Super sale right now :(

Pros: Everything, superfast, quiet, low heat, fast, fast, fast
Comment:
I went from a plain 250gb 7200 rpm HDD, and it is everything I would hope for. Everything from boot loads, program openings, file transfers, game loads are insanely fast. I am using my old HDD as a Drive for larger games and Documents stuff, and its a perfect pair. Highly recommend. My Windows experience went from 5.9 to 7.6, so a modest boost. (Windows 7 x64)
