Good deal, am I lucky so far?
Comment:
This is my 5th purchase of one of these e260 refurbs since Nov '08. I generally prefer brand new buys, but I've not had any give me (or the people I've given them to) fault yet, so I am satisfied. They are very on par with the more expensive ones out there, but I still wish they had the capability of directly i.e. drag'n'drop uploading video and pics (like they do the audio) on connection to the PC (understandably, the video should be in the correct format for this device's purposes before hand, but it is only possible through the software you need for it, which it doesn't come with - wasn't an issue 'til I had to consider that not everyone I gave one to had dedicated access to a comp). Sound quality is great and the expansion slot capability makes this that much more versatile.

Ok product
Comment:
I had intended to put all my music and audio stuff on the Sansa 260 and play it through the car AUX input to the speakers. I was planning a 2 week road trip. First I bought the cable that that connects the earphone plug to the AUX input. Volume was too weak. So I bought the FM unit and that was no better. So I returned the unit for a replacement which was better but still not loud enough to be heard at interstate highway speeds. After mailing Sandisk they informed me that I had to have a proprietary Sandisk input and cable to play music through the car AUX input to the radio. So I learned a lesson. Anyone need a cable or FM transmitter?

Excellent little player
Comment:
I just bought this, and it's only my second MP3 player, but I am very impressed with the e260. The sound quality is excellent, it has a very long playing time on one charge, and the software (I loaded Rockbox on it) works very well. I only short it slightly because the native software was a little clumsy, which is why I loaded Rockbox on it.

A little more ram
Comment:
That's about my only issue. I can only add two gig of ram which leaves me with six gig. The machine works fine and the battery is okay even if it is a discontinued refurbished machine. The mark down for refurbished wasn't as much as I'd have expected. However to repeat the machine works fine. I can swap memory chips if I thought I needed too. I knew what exactly what I was getting when I bought the machine and it is pretty nearly perfect for my needs.

I've bought a few refurbished products from CompUSA.com, the latest being this MP3 Player. All work as advertised. This is a superb player, and it operates as advertised at a terrific price.

Okay For The Price
Comment:
I bought this MP3 player for my gym workouts it has great sound, I dont like the way it takes so long to come on. The fast forward and previous play button are to hard to hit, functions are a little confusing if you are on the treadmill and want to change a song, but all in all it's a good investment, my unit is also a refurb and I have not had any trouble from it at all.

video converter problems
Comment:
The sound with video clips has high end distortion unless a high filter is applied to the sound file before transferring to the sansa. Severe filtering, like, -12dB from 3khz on up. I have two units and both performed the same way. The converter must be downloaded from apple in order to get any video at all on the sansa. This is rather shabby. It adds an unwanted trademark logo to the bottom right of the screen on the converted video file. Overall, the unit works ok except for the troublesome high end distortion caused by the converter. I expected better.

Good Basic Player
Comment:
I bought one of these refurb products several years ago. It has now started hanging up sometimes where it won't come on all the way nor would it turn off, so I bought a second one. There's no reboot switch, so I had to let the item run the battery down. When it finally ran down and I recharged it, it worked fine. If all you need is an MP3 player w/o a lot of bells & whistles, these units are fine for the price.

Unsatisfied
Comment:
I love Tiger Direct, I have bought quite a bit of hardware through them over my short life, ok I said it. That being said, This MP4 player died on me 2 days after I bought it. Spent mad amounts of time trying to fix it through the manufactures website, might still be able to. But it is not what I want to spend my time doing. Disapointed that this refurbished product was not up to par with previous refurbished products I have bought through TG. Sorry Guys/Gals

Great Deal Solid MP3 Player
Comment:
My review is based upon aprox. three weeks of ownership. Price is great. Construction seems very solid, sound is excellent. The only thing that I am knocking a point off of features for is the difficulty in getting either photos or video onto the player. It has to be converted through the Sansa media and it's a pain and still doesn't work all that well. Also be aware that if you're looking at RockBox this is version 2 of the hardware and isn't compatable at this time. Don't let eihter of those sway you from a very good MP3 Player at an excellent price!!!

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player 4GB
Comment:
Sansa 260 perfect for my needs. Works great, only thing I really miss is a case or cover, something to hold it in. Price was sure right. One small problem, this unit doesn't seem to accept sdhc memory- but I'm still checking this out. So far I don't need more than 4GB anyway.

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player 4GB
Comment:
What value? I ordered the 4GB model and was shipped a 2GB model in a 4GB box. Why send it back? TigerDirect makes you pay shipping -- even when it's Tiger's fault. I also purchased a Jabra Bluetooth Stereo headset at the same time. Only problem is that it isn't stereo -- the left side speaker is D E A D. Again, shipped broken but if I want to return it, TigerDirect makes me pay. This company really needs to improve its quality assurance program. Caveat Emptor!

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player 4GB
Comment:
Bought in October 2008 and now the stereo headphone jack is experiencing a weak connection. If you move the player about, you'll lose audio on the right channel. Move/tilt it up/down and it'll come back. But move it anymore and away it goes. Only has a 3 month warranty, so now I own a paperweight. The letters REFURB on the back can be removed, they are stickers.

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player 4GB
Comment:
Only had it a week so I don't know the longevity of the player yet. But I think this little guy is awesome!! There is a forum and support section on the Sansa website, and they are still fixing issues in firmware, even though the product is discontinued. To me, that level of support is the most valuable asset when choosing a product!!
