I bought one for my wife and received it a week ago. She is happy wth it. No problems playing or transferring music or images. She likes that it is more sturdy than her old one from last year (Zodiac - it still works, she gave it to me to use). I like that the Sansa e260 has a better display despite being smaller than 2 inches. All the buttons and the jog dial work fine. Connects to my Mac and her PC with no prolems. Planning to get myself one now. I got the warranty for 2 years, just in case something happens, it is covered. My advice? Buy the e260 with a warranty for the length of time you plan to keep and use the device. It is still cheaper than an Ipod.

We bought a total of 4 of these players. One of them still works. Two just flat out won't turn on anymore, and the other one only works out of one earbud (same problem as another reviewer). The only one that still works is the one that sits on a shelf all the time and is rarely touched. I guess if that's what you're going to purchase an MP3 player for then great. But if you want quality, PAY FOR QUALITY. Just like another reviewer said, there is a reason there are so many ''refurbished'' players and they're conveniently always on sale.

I highly recommend this mp3 player. I have had mine for 2+ years working flawlessly. If you install rockbox on it, you will get more functionality and features like supporting up to 32gb! microSD memory cards. Although I have only tried a 4G memory on it. 5 from me in every aspect.

Bought 2 about 6 mo. ago. Both function fine. For Cherry on Feb 25, 2009. the audio file is hidden. Open the the sansa icon and under tools select Show all files, that should give you access to all folders on the player. Hope this helps.

This product has been a mixed bag for me. I love it over iPod in that you don't need that awful iTunes software. It has FM radio and the sound is great. I've had mine for 2 years and recently thought I needed new headphones, but the problem was in the headphone jack (no sound in the left headphone). I googled the problem and found a myriad of users who have experienced this same exact problem. Sansa will not recognize it as a defect enough to back the product or offer a solution or replacement. Feel free to google ''sansa headphone jack problem'' and see how many complaints come up. It's really too bad because otherwise, I love this product.

This is a great player for the price and it's loaded with features. Plus it supports subscription based music (drm) which is a BIG plus.

I love the unit but the one thing that drives me nuts about it are its controls... the dial becomes very cumbersome to control selection as the unit ages.

MARKED AS ''REFURB'' IN EMBOSSED/RAISED LETTERS ACROSS BACK OF DEVICE. Honestly, I've bought a lot of refurb products, but this is the first time I've ever seen a manufacturer go through the trouble of producing new backs just so they can stamp REFURB into the metal. So this doesn't really work as a gift. ;) Now other than that, and if I were buying this for myself, this would have been a great little unit. Definitely beats the IPod and for a heck of a lot less.

This has been a great player to own. I purchased a 4GB, bought a 2 GB for my father and when he lost it, I'm getting another 4GB one. It's tough, the battery is replacable, and it WILL take at least a 4 GB card IF you use RockBox AND you pull out the card before you plug it into your PC to recharge it. therwise it will lock up. To put files on the bigger card, just us the SD adapter that comes with the 4GB MicroSD and plup it into your PC to drag and drop the files. If you get one, buy the little plastic film screen covers b/c the screen will scratch easily without protecton. You can convert shows or movies to play on it if you use the native frontend to the player (switch RockBox off)

Just confermed on the SanDisk web site that this e260 camcorder will only take an extra 2GB external card because of the firmware version 1.02.24 The 4GB camcorder ends up being a internal memory of 3807MB without a micro card installed. I made the mistake of ordering a 8GB card from on this page.

The first one I ordered broke after 2 weeks, but I'm very pleased with the second one. This player needs to be charged through a computer instead of using simple batteries, but one charge can last for at least 8 hours. I would have like the player to be able to play even when re-charging, but it's the only negative side so far. Very great purchase!

I have several mp3 players and the e260 is by far the best. The battery lasts for over 9 hours on one charge. I don't use the features apart from mp3 player. For this price order two.

This was the first MP3 player I've ever purchased, and read through the previous reviews before making my purchase, so thanks to all the previous reviewers. I've had my Sansa for about a month and I'm very pleased with it so far. Coming out of the box, I felt the volume level was a little low (as have others who have reviewed previously), but found that some manual tweaking of the EQ levels took care of this to my satisfaction. One of the earlier reviewers suggested Media Monkey to help manage my music and it works like a champ. I bought this because I often provide background music for church social events and figured it would beat carrying around a backpack full of cd's. The shuffle feature makes this activity even more fun, as you don't know what's coming next. All in all, I'm very pleased.

I really like my Sansa - however I also bought a memory chip to use in it - and to date I have not been able to write to it. Customer service has tried to help, I have formatted the HD, installed new operation system, etc. and still can't write to it. It shows it there as available, but not on my pc.

I had a Snasa E-200 identical to this one except 2 gig and it was amazing! fast, easy to use, and had the MicroSD card slot. it can hold everythuing an Apple I-Pod can but is less expensive. Very duriable product dropped mine two stories once and still worked, more duriable than I-Pods. I reccomend something like this for every music lover. Get it!!

Awesome player. My first Sansa was a c150 which got dropped in the toilet...literally. Fished it out and dried it off best I could. Believe it or not, it still works. In fact it was still playing when I fished it out of the drink :-) The e260 is even better since it has the microSD expansion slot.

OK. This is the best deal on the internet. I bought a couple of these 2 months ago and they have worked very well. My buddy is mad that wife paid so much more for her 8-gig Ipod. I have loaded about 250 songs on it. I used it to drive a stereo on a boat I, for dinner music, for a week. It ran for at least 12 hours, but run time is a function of volume. No complaints from me!

Works perfectly. My only caveat is that the SD slot doesn't read the new higher capacity HCSD microSD cards (4GB 8GB 16GB). It works just fine with the 2GB or less standard Micro SD cards. The Sansa indexes any music on the SD card automaticaly, which my Creative Zen didn't do, but it does that by refreshing the database every single power on (if there is an SD card inserted). That takes about 30 sec. for a chock full 2 GB card... a minor annoyance at best.

I bought one of these e260s about 2 months ago. Setup was simple and I was listening to my favorite tunes in minutes and I'm an old guy of 50. This refurbished unit works flawlessly, holds a charge well and holds enough MP3s for many hours of listening. My only complaint is that the volume could be louder but that's probably due more to my damaged hearing than the player. Video and pictures are sharp and clear as well.I'm very, very satisfied with mine.

Though i have not used all the features this player has to offer, I am very impressed with it. Having previously purchased a similar unit from another source, this sandisk is by far superior. The display has vibrant colour and is clear and legible, the controls are easy to use, and I didn't have to go out and buy new headphones/earbuds to listen with as it has standard connector size (unlike the one i bought before)
