1 memory stick is DOA, also the heatsink fell off the memory. The other stick works fine. Also it takes several days to do the RMA which involves sending pics to corsair for approval?!

Installed on my first build and worked just like it should. I'm running it on a XP Pro OS so it's enough to max out the supported amount yet not over-kill. Been running it for a few weeks and so far no problems.

I wrote a review on this memory combo earlier that praised it's ability to boot up great after a first-time install and that I had no hard drive corruptions from a bad stick. However, I did have this same set fail me after only 3 months of service. It didn't corrupt the hard drives, but it also acted as if the mobo was reporting it as ''working fine'', since there were no alarms. It caused my original mobo and cpu set to continually recycle through the boot cycle. When moved to a new mobo and cpu set, there was no alarm, but the mobo wouldn't boot up either. I guess I prefer this behavior to corrupting a hdd like some other memory sticks do, but it would be nice if the mobo would alarm to let me know it was bad. The short lifespan of this particular set of memory is a concern though. I will order a different brand for replacement.

Great deal. one of the sticks i got was bad and it would let me computer boot at all, and did figure it out until after the 30 return limit.

i got these ram with a combo... now i rate it five stars because 1 ram chip worked and ran team fortress 2 like butter with a 9800GTX+ in it. The other ram stick was dead, and tigerdirect took care of my request and is currently sending me new sticks while i send the old ones back... tigerdirect rocks.. the ram rocks... cool
