The 800MHz RAM is somewhat slow compared to today's standards but on a cheap build and someone w/ x64bit OS...this is a perfect marriage of components!Fast and no complaints!

Put this ram in my Dell Inspiron 531. Works great, especially since I doubled my ram from 2 to 4 gig and bumped from 667 to 800 mhz. So far no probs at all!

I used these memory sticks to upgrade my 64-bit capable desktop which originally came with a set of PC2-5300 memory sticks. System info: CPU: Intel Dual CPU E2200@2.20GHz MB: HP Pavilion KJ400AA-ABA-a6437c RAM: 4GB GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT OS: Microsoft Windows 7RC 32-bit/64-bit Using Microsofts Performance Information Tool the Memory Subscore went from 5.1 to 5.4. These two numbers stayed the same running Windows 7RC 32-bit OS and 64-bit OS. I bought these Corsair memory sticks from here when there was a $20 OEM rebate. This is just about the best online trader Ive been buying from and they standby their merchandise. Caution: If upgrading your PC in a similar fashion, ensure your system is capable of running PC6400 DD2 800MHz memory sticks.

I've never used Corsair up til now, but I must say since I've traditionally had trouble with Kingston memory getting seated right, or going sour in a mobo, this was a refreshing change. It worked out of the package, had no seating problems and detected in a dual channel array perfectly. Too bad it can't be seen, because the black, glass/metallic heatsink on the chips is beautiful and extrememly thin. I was very pleased with the profile, coolness of performance and 4 Gig of this makes XPro work great!

I bought this on sale as I was trying to build an inexpensive computer with some decent performance. I'm using it on an AMD2 mother board running with Vista and all is well. Everything seems to be pretty fast and running smooth.
