Comment:
Both sticks passed a rapid Dell memory test so no problems so far. This memory was suggested by Dell for my system as a gaming upgrade and previous evaluations stated that these worked fine with the exception of those receiving bad sticks or had terrible slots. Specs seemed to match specifically. Matched pair despite the fact that I am not sure how a lot that means any longer. Immediately after installing these saw that the frequency was reset to 667 MHz but expected 800 as current sticks had been also 800 (PC2 6400). Started testing without locating a dilemma but did some added analysis and noted that other people have had problems with Dell when making use of memory from distinct companies, even those that reported the similar exact timings and voltages. Testing incorporated switching involving memory slots 1 / 2 (AKA white) and moving them to 3 / 4 (AKA black) with exact same outcome and this was also with RAM upgrades from other suppliers. Invariably, combining RAM from various companies was reported to cause the frequency to default to the lowest setting. This does not take place when using RAM from the exact same manufacturer as extended as the timings and voltages are the same but I would also recommend maintaining inside the very same series/model. 1st – have usually noted a lot of concerns about the difference between this, the TWIN2X4096-6400C5C RAM, and the TWIN2X4096-6400C5 RAM. Corsair has responded in their forums that the two are identical except for the heat spreaders.Purchased this with the intent to bump up a 2-year old computer system from 4 GB and since of the rebate was going to do this in two steps, 1st replacing two of the 1 GB sticks to get to 6 GB and the next time that I saw a decent value would go to eight GB.Mainly because of the rebate along with the memory return policy plus shipping it isn’t worth returning. Memory return policy is 15% restocking fee plus any reduce in pricing as determined by NewEgg which seems fair. This was used on a stock Dell XPS 420 which also suggests no tweaking of BIOS to get the frequency back up.

I'm overlooking the reality that 1 of my sticks was DOA simply because NewEgg produced a rapid repair and Corsair even honored the rebate (RAM came to about โ soon after rebate) that had expired whilst I was in the procedure of getting my replacement. Haven't had any challenges so far, it appears to be good deal and some rapidly RAM. None at the moment. Massive ups to NewEgg's consumer service. They seriously have the finest in the bizz with their response and quickly shipping. Will get Corsair once more and once again if these operate out. I have but to have a challenge with their memory.

Performs ideal following set up. Timings and voltages just as advertised. Fantastic heat sync and value none. I had a stick go undesirable on me soon after making use of it around two years. Corsair not only replaced it rapidly but upgraded what I sent back mainly because they did not sell that model any longer. This was at no cost to me! So obtain Corsair!

functions wonderful, I was supprised to see my method speed up as much as it did going from 3gigs of pc5300 utilizing 32bit win7 none with the product The final two items I ordered took a week to be delivered evan the one from New Jersey that is only four hours away. It would get right here quicker if they sent it normal mail in the firstplace in stead of giving it to UPS to give to the post workplace

I have but to overclock these terrible boys, but I got a good lot. Windows 7 scored a 7.four for the memory and following taking 7 years to ultimately upgrade my system, I can see a big difference. Couldn't believe I could play CS:Source in windowed mode, use Visual Studio, surf on Firefox, and listen to music with a lot of memory to spare. None. Didn't truly do a large pressure test on it. Technique:AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition, 4th core unlocked. Overclocked to 3.4GHz.Asus M4A785-M with stock fan and employing all onboard.

Memory is fine. Rebate is MIA, rebate handler says they under no circumstances got the paperwork, of program. Total bull and they know it, typical of all these rebate handling companies to delay paying out then they send those stupid Debit cards which are a discomfort to use and you will constantly end up with a buck or two left on the dang factor. Don't get any item due to the fact there is a rebate!

Item was well packaged and delivered undamaged. Totally free shipping for my place took seven business days excluding the weekend. (Do the math) Verify that all your DIMMs are Identical to make certain compatibility and overall performance and are placed in the appropriate Dual Channel slots when not employing all memory slots on motherboard.

Thanks Newegg for creating the RMA procedure so painless! The 1st and second set I received had a single stick DOA. Began considering I was executing anything terribly wrong but now the third set sooner or later performs ok. I hope it lasts. Had I read the reviews meticulously ahead of acquiring, I would have never ever ordered. A lot of people today had DOA troubles posted. I'll consider twice before purchasing Corsair once more altough I had great experience with them in the past

No fault to G.Ability as some Dells can be picky about RAM, so I'm nonetheless giving it four Eggs. My Dell i7 Vostro 430 didn't like this and would lock or blue-screen. Interestingly, it DID pass memtest 86+ v4. just fine. Almost certainly none if matched to the mobo. At the time of this writing ྫተብ) the i7 Vostro 430 is still fairly new and most of the main RAM mfgr's except Important don't have a match. I'm confident additional selections will be avail in the future.

Heat sinks; excellent; works with Gateway DX4200 with AMD 9750 quad; corsair website for compatible memory searches; performs with other memory timings [would not test diverse timings in the very same paired slot - see other thoughts]. Rebate - wonder if it will ever come and uncomplicated to make a mistake with the pre-registration; UPS is a slow shipper which makes Newegg look lousy; high price as compared to six months ago. Corsair Memory is 800 with 5-5-5-18 timings - two GB each and every paired in slots 3-4. Had two GB 800 in slots 1-2 with six-6-six-18 timings. Outcome eight GB 667 with 5-five-5-15 timings not as well poor a result. I could change out the slower RAM but with the high cost will not. I am satisfied with the result. If my rebate comes, the ranking will modify upward.I had to ding two stars for all the cons.

Reasonable price for (now older) DDR2 RAM, esp with the rebate (knock on wood--worked last time although) Slotted quickly into my Asus M4A785M board. Hate the planned obsolescence element in this desktop RAM marketplace, but wth ya gonna do?Added a couple of degrees to my mobo & CPU temps, quickly within limits although. Time to get into the (modern) 64 bit planet I guess.

Pro: Appears properly produced; heat sinks built in; tailors itself to other memory installed; Corsair website helps to discover the appropriate memory for your laptop or computer Technical stuff: AMD 9750 quad with 4 GB memory @ 800 MHz 6-6-6-18 timing in slots ş-two. 64 bit Vista OS which runs all 32 bit computer software I have thrown at it and can run old 16 bit computer software and DOS games with DosBox! Only a 64 bit OS can use more than about three GB memory. This Corsair 2GB x two, dual channel, paired memory, with timings of five-5-five-18, is more rapidly memory than my original installed memory and I was concerned about the timings. The result was that all my memory runs at 667MHz but with a quicker timing five-five-five-15, so it is incredibly close to the original memory installed but not as rapid as it can be. I do not intend to over clock and will not transform out the slower memory since of expense concerns. knock off one particular star - individual Have an AMD 9750 quad with four GB memory in slots ş-2 and wanted to go to 8GB. It is crucial to set up compatible memory in the other slots - i.e. slots š-4 were empty. I have 64 bit Vista which can "see" 8GB of memory. I searched by means of numerous web-sites to obtain top quality memory and was not satisfied with the confusing final results. I searched the Corsair web site and they have a "memory search", where you enter your personal computer model and they give you matched memory that is guaranteed to operate with your personal computer. Then it was simple to find what I necessary. The result was the all my memory ran effectively and I can use all my eight GB memory. I don't mean to confuse individuals who are much less technically inclined - the point is that all memory is not the very same and to just stick any DDR2 memory into your personal computer will guarantee an unhappy finish user. It is difficult to match up the appropriate DDR2 memory with out being aware of a lot of hidden details and for most end users it is less difficult to just go to the memory manufacturer's website.

Quickly overclockable, by no means had to touch the voltage. Incredibly good speed. None. Koncept, these sticks were in all probability undesirable...not only need to you not have sold them to a person who in all probability thinks they function, but it would have been very best to RMA them, instead of getting greedy. Essentially thinking your assessment is credible is laughable. DOA's come about, it's aspect of developing, I can inform you haven't been carrying out this incredibly extended.

Working good in my technique. Good price. None. I'll be moving this RAM to a different process given that the other motherboard won't support the RAM I ordered for it. That motherboard doesn't have a 2.1V setting, so I'll use this RAM because it uses 1.8V. I anticipate it to perform just fine in that program as nicely.

Decent value and performance. Have a diverse set in another develop that worked from the start out. 1 stick was poor. Mobo has memtest in bios, 1 stick had over 4000 errors in 2 passes. Very good support at their web site and no dilemma RMA with them. I would still purchase once again. I haven't even seen a floppy in a decade, Manuf. require to quit steering us that way to trouble shoot. It is no longer a "standard" item. Flash drives people today.
