Comment:
I've purchased a dozen or so sets of Corsair memory over the years and this is the 1st poor memory I've received. Not negative. Also, NewEgg has been a great vendor and I've been getting here due to the fact 2002. BSOD, 1 negative module out of the box. Memtest86+ v3.5 did NOT detect any difficulties with the module at all. Truly, it was the built in memory diagnostics of Win7 that detected the difficulty accurately (imagine that!). The biggest complaint I have is paying ร (บ restocking + ű for return shipping) to acquire a defective product. Why does the customer have to foot the bill???? It seems to me that Corsair need to have to cover the price of this!

This RAM is best notch, timings are best, responsiveness is outstanding. 4 GB Running Ubuntu 9.04 with 512 MB Graphics card on Pentium D three. Ghz, runs like a dream. Spend the additional money to get good quality RAM, it is worth it. None Even if you are creating a budget box, obtain great RAM like this, it makes a world of distinction.

Pros:Stable, runs cool
Comment:
This memory kit was really great. I actually bought two of them to get 8GB. They were stables and the speed was good. They died on me because of my overclocks and my motherboard at one time. It was my own fault. They can endure a little overclock. It was running cool.

Asus P5Q motherboard picked it proper up and even though the timing says 5-five-five-18 in my BIOS is reading 5-five-5-15. Slight pickup in Windows 7 Experince score which I hope echoes in a small greater efficiency running 2x2GB vs. 4x1GB. A small pricy. I have a actually tough time with DDR2 memory being priced exactly where it is, let's not even talk about DDR. 1 star taken off for cost, what can I say it really should be less expensive, 4x2GB DDR3 is pretty much half the price. This was utilised to replace 4x1GB GSkill, exact same speed 5-five-five-15 chips so maybe the bios is showing the old timings on the other hand I rebooted various times, will test later. The object was to gain a touch greater performance with 2x2GB over 4x1GB plus I will pickup one more pair giving me the full 8GB I want small later. Have not had a likelihood to put that to the test other than with Windows Experince ratings which did go up slightly on Ram. Regarded as putting the 2x1GB GSkill back in but prefer matched pairs over mixed even when similar timings/speed.

-Quick-Effortless to Install, just pops in.-Now I have 8gb of memory In 2009 purchased my Core two Quad rig, and the RAM was only 49.99 and then it skyrockets to 89.99. Luckily I got the other set when it was 15% off and also had a rebate. So final cost was 39.99 :-) Corsair makes excellent Memory and I have stuck by because 2009.

It might appear odd to post a five egger for defective memory, but the fact it's not a great globe and this happens, and the critical thing isn't that it does, but what the vendor does to make it proper. In this case, I got the memory throughout their 15% off sale, it was a fantastic cost with very good stats, came (took awhile) and looked nice with the heat spreader, but I just couldn't get via a clean day worth of MemTest86+ with it, so had to RMA it for replacement. Did it by way of the site. Tiny hitch: it wanted me to pay for the UPS label, so I known as NewEgg up, and inside of two minutes they emailed me 1 gratis. It basically doesn't get any greater than that. Took a lengthy time (the full 7 small business days) to get here with the free shipping, and obviously, it was poor out of the box. Not NewEgg's fault, I'm sure it was poor the moment it got stuck in the blisterpack in Taiwan. It takes place. Doesn't matter what the brand is - I've had high dollar "extreme" memory flake out on me, and I've had hand-me-down "Bob's DIMMs" stuff function 24x7 flawlessly in a ridiculously hot and humid environment...this is the initially Corsair stuff I had be poor on me, but I won't swear off the brand unless it keeps happening... If the replacement's poor too, I'll certainly have a lot far more to say. But even if it is, I'll have the peace of mind to know that I won't be out any income because these guys will do suitable by me.

At this price, you can't go wrong. I have easily done 4-4-4-12 at 950 MHz stable. I especially like its look and I will get another kit for sure.I recommend this one as it is using a standard size of sticks and that could be very useful when a high-end (and huge) heatsink is installed on the CPU.Best memory purchase yet!

Cons:See below

Pros:StableReliableLow costSize of modules
Comment:
Bought Corsair based on reputation. The RAM is very stable and overclocks well (CPU - I haven't tried OC the RAM itself.) The modules are very small and fit easily next to each other when all four DIMM slots are used. I bought two sets of this ram. One module in one set was DOA. I had to RMA and got a second set. NCIX was very friendly and helpful during that process. I received a new set quickly, and am using it now. It's a good idea to run memtest after installing new RAM to check for errors. Also be sure to set all motherboard RAM options to default values before installing new modules to avoid trouble. I went from OC'd RAM by another manufacturer and forgot to do this, so the Corsair RAM gave me trouble until I sorted it all out.I'd definitely buy Corsair again.

Stable. Passed all memory tests. Running for a month with no difficulties. Not compatible with existing non-Corsair PC6400 - automatically downgrades to PC5300. Best to purchase all Corsair to stop this dilemma from occurring. Rebate response was "documentation not received". Worth full price but purchased for rebate, hence three stars vs five.
