Detected instantly with my ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo running on win7 64-bit. I went with corsair in my previous create also, and to save a bit of funds, just doubled up and went with 8GB total of the same DDR2 800. For the cost and reliability, you just can't beat it! None. I read some other critiques with certain mobos exactly where you require to tweak BIOS settings ahead of you get the system up and running and detecting all the memory, but I didn't will need to tweak any settings. Thinking of that I dont do overclocking etc.. a brand that just plugs and detects is massive for me. Perhaps some day I will invest the money to go DDR3.

1 module worked fine. 1 module was D.O.A. I have never had any troubles with Corsair until now. Have noticed numerous men and women having concerns with Corsair lately. Not positive what is going on.I think I will stick with OCZ for now as I haven't had any troubles with them...however.

Solid 10% boost in memory performance and runs a bit cooler than the older 4200 chips I replaced. I ordered two 4gb sets and both arrived totally performing (read the UPS caveat below) Apparently Corsair has bump their costs by about ten dollars since offering this rebate. Possibly the "Tech" sector is trying to strengthen their bottom line in anticipation of their 3rd quarter reporting to Wall Street. Fantastic RAM. Though Corsair's RAM is not rated for the Energy Mac, it works perfectly. I have an older Ɠ year old) Power Mac G5 Quad two.5ghz that previously had 4200 chips. The only problem is that the software, "About This Mac", reads the RAM as "PC2-3200U-266". Whatever "About This Mac" reads the Corsair RAM as, Xbench shows a benchmark improve in performance at solid 10%!As an aside, no fault of Newegg, UPS lost my shipment. As a consequence, I had to go thru the hassle of placing a new order and then wait for a refund on the lost order. Seriously, UPS is 1 of the worst shippers to deal with and I fret just about every time I have deal with their reckless treatment of shipments (Zero eggs for UPS)

CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory
Cons:- Heat sink could be better

Pros:- Compatible with most motherboards- Overclockable- Warranty
Comment:
I have had this ram running stably in a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R motherboard for the past 2 years. The heat sinks are not as good as some of the Corsair's higher end memory products, but I guess I got what I paid for and it is better than having no heat sinks at all.

This is nice solid DDR2 800. I'm running it on an ASUS P5QL/EPU. It auto detected @ five-five-5-15 but the board won't let you go lower than 1.85 volts.I got it to run stably at DDR2 1066 6-6-6-18 @ 2.0V but I am at present running it at DDR2 934 5-6-five-15 @ 2.0V Other than a rebate as component of the pricing, none. Pros: Nice looking rams. Well made. Quite fast.

I own a pair of this ram 2 x 2G for over 2 years now and I never have any problems with them. Recently when this goes on sale I got myself another pair. Since I am using Win 7 it doesn't hurt to get more rams. Now I have 8G running dual channel. If you are stocking up on DDR2 then this is a quality product to buy.

Bought this kit to put a new lease on life on my old 3 year old gaming build. Runs great and stable and combined with a good price to performance gpu like the 460 or 560 it makes for the perfect cheap upgrade to an old gaming system to get some more longevity out of it.

Cons: n/a

Pros: heatsinkmid-high speedstable
Comment:
As DDR3 takes on more and more of the market share, DDR2 ram prices climb, and cheap DDR2 ram is becomes harder to come by. Even so, don't overlook the potential these corsairs bring. At stock speed, these are very stable and perform exceptionally. I haven't tried OCing them, so that may be another story.I would buy a second pair and fill up the ram slots, but keeping this system around for another year before upgrading everything might be the better option.Even so, good ram if you are frequently getting bottleneck issues.

CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory
Cons: None.

Pros: Works well, reasonably priced for DDR2.
Comment:
DDR2 is getting more expensive as DDR3 takes full hold of the marketplace. Still, it is reasonable to buy this to upgrade an existing system if moving to a 64 bit OS. I have found this RAM to be compatible with every motherboard I have used. I suppose this isn't overclocker RAM but it isn't priced like overclocker RAM.

I'm very happy with this ram, I added it to my stock 2x1 gb 667 mhz ram. Run well out of the box, no problem at all. It sure gets down-clocked to match my stock ram speed so I cant comment the performance of it.

I got this ram, a while ago and its been working perfectly fine. As I aspect any ram to work. Plus Corsair is a pretty repetuable brand. I wish I held off til boxing day cause it has a MIR offer that would have save me an extra 20 dollars. But I can't complain, I am happy with the product. I am pretty sure this would be the last time I buy a DDR2 as I would be upgrading the entire computer next time. But if you are on LGA775 or a AM2+ Mobo yea get this before the prices skyrockets again :(.

Cons: Rigid timings

Pros: Well priced, Quality
Comment:
I bought these for a family computer and am very pleased with the purchase. I have no need to tweak these and a good thing too as the timings are rigid. I don't question the quality of the product as there have been no issues at all, but they seem to be made to be reliable, quality built, budget RAM and nothing more. I would gladly purchase these again for a similar computer build.

Pros: stable and reliable, confidence in buying products from corsair. Packaging is easy to open/close.
Comment:
The XMS2 memory brand from Corsair builds on an heritage of quality memory products. I never had bad experience with those like I have had with other vendors. With most MoBos the settings should be detected automatically, if not, the attached stickers provide all the needed info.

Cons: None

Pros: The memory seems stable, though I'm not an overclocker. Haven't had any issues with my machine in quite some time, and certainly none that can be traced back to this memory. Runs like a champ at the stock settings.
Comment:
When I bought this RAM, a rebate of considerable amount was offered with it, which is what sold it for me. It was a higher quality than what I needed, but with the rebate, the price would have been right. Unfortunately, I failed to heed the warnings of other reviewers, and Corsair has now broken my formerly-flawless record of receiving MIR checks. I just hate MIR! Otherwise, great product!

What can I say, I've never been so happy with one of my purchases as I am with this one. After dealing with 5 failed sets of Crucial Ballistix RAM, I decided to axe it and switch over to these. Although I can't provide in-depth testing of the product, I can recommend this RAM for those in the market for DDR2 RAM.
