Booted on very first try in an ASUS p8p67 with the appropriate speed.Windows RAM score jumped from 4.7 to 7.9 following I installed and I notice less lag whilst multi-tasking. I want the leading heat sink on these things wasn't so sharp. |

Looked nice in the package. The memory is defective. This was my very first Gskill obtain and it will also be my last. Attempted them in both Intel and AMD platforms and Memtest repeatedly threw errors on both sticks in the same areas no matter what the timings, speed, or vdimm had been set to. I waited a full week for this item to arrive and when it got here it failed to function. That's adequate annoyance for me to last a lifetime. Just installed them and they work good! Passed MemTest86! Installed them on a Gigabyte mobo with PII X4. None I did notice that my mobo automatically set the timings to 9-9-9-28 alternatively of 24, but that was uncomplicated to adjust. The package says for 2nd generation Intel Core processor family members, but functions it works with AMD also! |

Have several different kits of the Ripjaw-X series memory in all my computers (Z77 and H77 chipset ASUS boards) and they all work flawlessly at the rated voltage and timings.They are nice looking rams too with the red anodizing plus black pcb, the pictures above don't really show that well. Perhaps a bit expensive at regular price but if price matched or on sale they are a good deal. |

it looks fantastic. it performs good and it it danm quickly/ i can honestly say i have by no means bought a ram from any manufacturer that was defective. i think most defects are poor set up issues rather than defect ram. I definitely dont believe i made the wrong option with this ram. I really want it was less expensive so i could buy much more than 8. now this is not a con per say, but i cant get it to 1600 no matter what i do. i believe its a mobo setting i am forgetting since it is a new mobo too. but even operating at 1337 it is still quite rapidly. but I really feel a little cheated. it is also early for the msi people today to have a bb dedicated to sandy bridge tweeking i wish ram manufactures would encourage mobo manufactures to recognize ram at the max speed.note to new egg: typing post with out the t as brief for positive is not genuinely a terrible word your filter requirements updating. and dang fast is not truly contemplate a terrible word. nevertheless new egg rocks. |

Does exactly what it is suppose to do and even a little additional. Red heatsinks don't match the rest of my elements. MB initially recognized them as 1333 Mhz. A simple adjust in the Bios and they had been recognized at their rated speed.
