While updating a 1366 machine, replaced 12 Gig Crucial XMS. G skill sells these in triple channel kits but I wasn't aware at the time. No problem though, mild overclock 2.6 i7 920 o 3.6 1.52V DRAM Voltage, 180 bus on Gigabyte EX58-ud5. This almost 3 year old system has new legs combined with 2 OCZ max iops 256 drives raid 0 and CF'ed Radeon 6850's and a Highpoint USB 3 add in card in the top PCI_E 1x slot, hit P7800 3dmark11. |

Cons:the cooling fins are a bit high, I have to moved up my after market CPU fan(COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus) a little bit, so now the bottom of the fun is in touch with the fin, but doesn't seems to be a problem.

paired up this 8G kit with my previous 4G kit (F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL) on dual band without problem. configured the standard timing/setting in bois and worked flawlessly. WEI score for memory raised from 5.9 to 7.4, didn't bother to overclock, etc. A great buy especially with a good price, PMed to 40 bucks with ME, cant believe these things getting so cheap now, cost me $55 last year for the 4G kit. |

Works fantastic. No troubles associated to the RAM at all. None. Had trouble finding my machine to boot at initially, but nothing indicating the RAM was an issue. I suggest these to everyone. I utilized it in a giga-byte ga-p67-ud3p mobo and it functions excellent. (they also appear fairly sweet. |

I bought this RAM because I heard a lot of good things about G.SKILL, they were cheaply priced, and I wanted to see how this brand of RAM would do. After 3 weeks of running my system with this RAM 24/7, I haven't had any issues. It's been very stable. The only issue I had was the RAM initially booted up at CL11 rather than CL9, but I didn't bother much with it, since it was working fine. I usually used Kingston HyperX in my builds but 2 years ago I hesitantly tried G-Skill as the Kingston were not available. Now I have G-Skill memory in all my systems (5) and you just cant beat the price/quality of these. They worked flawlessly in any configuration i have put them in(775, AM3, 1156, 1155) with boards from Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, MSI even if not in the recommended memory list. Never had a single defective stick in more than 20 kits (4 and 8 gigs). I do not overclock but a friend of mine did his without a itch. Excellent products. |

The top of the G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL almost touches my hyper 212+. I'm using gigabyte Z68X-UD3H B3 mobo (and it work perfectly fine with it), so if this is your combination you are fine, this ram would work for you. It's easy to OC too, but you need to add a bit more juice to get it working. This one of the better value ram in the market, grab it as soon as you can. |

Looks excellent, overclocks in most motherboards, heatsinks are a good compliment; not too tall either. None so far. Booted up at 1333, but simply changed in Asrock Extreme6 UEFI with one click and even overclocked it to 1866 MHz without touching a factor in voltages or timings. Thin aluminum, but are plenty sturdy for how you will use them (unless you planned on working with them as some sort of tool before inserting them). Cannot see why folks complain about the high quality. |
