Low-cost. Runs at rated speeds. One stick consistenly fails memtest. Random method instability. I should have been one of the few unlucky ones to get a poor stick. It's ironic, since this is the very first out of maybe 20 memory sticks I've ever bought that failed. It's also the very first time I didn't obtain corsair. Serves me appropriate I suppose. . 1 out of 2 sticks worked. Wheeeee 1 out of two sticks did not operate... as in, would not boot! A number of critiques comment on the very same problems with this memory. DOA rate is too high for this item.Newegg Rocks! RMA/Customer Support method was fantastic. First time in ㅂ years that Ive had to use it and it was even greater than the evaluations say it is.Memory was bought for use with a M4A89GTD Pro which is running excellent with a set of Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 . Both Crosair Modules perform, just had to set speed to 1600, and they wanted to run at 1T :)

I've had G.Skill memory before.I can always get them to work at rated speeds fairly easily without having to add voltages or play with the timings much.Appearance of G.Skill ram is always attractive and aggressive.GA-990FXA-UD3So it works for my AM3 motherboard.

price matched these for $43 and they work awesome on my Asrock extreme3 motherboard with an I5 2500K processor...currently have it overclocked stable to 4.4ghz.

Purchased this a few months ago for a phenom X6 build. It has been running 24/7 y (slightly below) 1.5 volts ever since. Running 2 pairs for a total of 16GB (I do a lot of virtualization on this machine) and it has been rock steady - no crashes since installation. Processor (1090T) has been slightly o'cd to 3700 (500MHz over the default 3.2) on air cooling. I've been running Seti on this machine as well without any issues. G.skill and Corsair are usually my first two choices for memory and these have yet to disappoint.

First kit was defective and caused unpredictable BSODs, despite passing seven passes of Memtest 86. Replacement works fine. Despite the good overall rating from other users, I must downgrade mine for the defective kit.

Got it at a super sale to replace my 4GB non-X version. It's very stable at 1600 9-9-9-24. However, I wasn't able to push it much further than that. CAS 8 couldn't even POST. Didn't play with it much afterwards.

I have become sold to G Skill memory modules. So far, all the motherboards I have purchased have had many choices of tried and tested memory of this brand. This 8gb package was great for a basic build that needed a good quantity of ram to avoid bottlenecks. The pricing for 8gb over 4gb was so minimal that it was a no brainer. So far, gskill has always delivered.

I've had definitely zero issues with this RAM considering that installing it in my Sandy Bridge setup. My motherboard initially detected it at 1333, but I merely enabled the XMP profile and rebooted and it automatically clocked itself up to the complete 1600. I've got a lot more memory than I know what to do with now, which is a nice problem to have! I only wish that the heatsinks weren't fairly so tall. I use the Thermaltake FRIO to cool my CPU, and the cooler is so significant that I couldn't fit a stick in DIMM 1, so I had to use DIMMs 2 & four rather. My pc nonetheless booted and runs just fine, but I'll have to invest in some shorter RAM if I want to add memory to DIMM 1. I've used G.SKILL RAM for the last three years and I have however to encounter any memory matters or errors. They just can't be beat for value/performance/stability!

This RAM is great quality and allows for excelled caching and access speeds. It also does not require a great deal of voltage and is very easy to overclock. There are really no cons that I can think other than the fact that, unless they are on sale, there are a few better quality RAM sticks out there for around the same price.

Installed along side my Corsair 2x4GB sticks, and booted up without any problems... initially... program shows 16 GB - looks great. Random crashes on applications when mixing the memory... really should be more robust, but not taking an egg off for that (that could be with mixing any two brands)... what I am taking an egg off for is two items:- Ƒ) my corsair ram is 9-9-9-24 @ 1600, and this is rated for 9-9-9-24 򜩀 as nicely... installing these along side drops this down to 11-11-11-29... :( Had to drop down to 1333 speed to get back to 9-9-9-24 and maintain it stable- ƒ) the principal purpose for the 1 egg off - ordered this with the free "egg-saver" shipping... took 1 week to get here via DHL and USPS... from 1 state away... Run wonderful right out of the box. Didn't need to adjust anything running on my P67A-GD65 board. 1 kit gives me 7.8 WEI at stock settings heat spreaders could be too high for some aftermarket heatsinks, wasn't an issue for my develop though. Initially time G-Skill consumer, incredibly satisfied with this choice. They had been rated extremely good on a P67 test on Tom's as properly.

I see individuals questioning why everyone would require additional than 8.. I run Rosetta 24ǝ, and anytime i fire up a game, Starcraft II for example, windows begins giving me popups that i am operating out of mem.. I am expecting that to no longer be a problem.

Worked beautifully from the Get-Go. I'm making use of these in a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 at rated specs 񢃀Ǘ.5v). BIOS recognizes these as 1333 Mhz memory based on SPD settings. You can override this in BIOS to set speed at 1600. In the Gigabyte BIOS, you can set the program to use the XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) and it will autimatically set speed to 1600.This memory (GBXL) is marketed as created for 2nd gen Core i7 Intel platforms 񡼃). The GBRL sticks are marketed for 1156 platforms and AMD but compatible with 1155. Interesting I have each of these memory kinds in my Computer and both function and execute identically (and have the same timing / voltage specs). Slight difference in heat sinks. Go with either sort - whichever is more affordable!
