Happy with this Garmin, even though the one time hot fix failed, and it wouldn't let me retry the hotfix. Helps me a lot with city driving on roads that I don't know. Also driving in rural area in low visibility conditions is a lot easier with Garmin maps showing the side roads, and counting down the miles to the next turn.

We bought this as an early Christmas present for my mother-in-law who travels all over the southern US regularly and she loves it after the first month. There have been a couple of issues with construction, but we updated her map and hope that takes care of it.

We replaced a Nuvi 205, this is a great improvement. Works great, fast, accurate, includes traveling speed, speed limit, next turn distance and direction you will be turning all in the margins of the screen. Includes suction mount. I would recommend highly.

This product has the basic functions you need for a GPS, no bluetooth. Get the updated map while you can within 60 days after your first use, otherwise, it will cost you around $100. My car's speedometer is broken (stays at 0) and this GPS has the speed limit and indicator function, save me hundreds for car repairing.

This GPS unit is good for a beginner, easy to use and you could download your destination address from google map to the GPS. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting an easy navigator.

The 255W is a no nonsense GPS with text-to-speech. It doesn't get better than this for simplicity, ease of use, and no unnecessary frills you wouldn't use anyway! TigerDirect rocks! Its been almost 2 months and I still can't find a better deal than the $120 I got on this!!!

This unit has an extremely easy user interface and has decent accuracy. This unit is a very good choice for inexperienced GPS users and will make a good first in car navigation unit. I found that the unit had very little multi-path in town between buildings and gives very audible and legible directions. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting an easy navigator. This is a great unit. Has many features that my old one (from the same company) didn't including: trip odometer, elapsed time, time to destination, and more. The touch-screen is easy to use and it can be programmed while moving (not a good idea for the driver but okay for your passenger). The small instruction manual as really unnecessary as using this GPS is quite intuitive. It locks onto satellites quickly, the street announcing woice is easily understood, and the display is easy to read. This unit contains all the features that I need to get me there and I'm very pleased with it.

I love the NUVI 255W. It gets me there and I can easily change a destination. I can review the route before I start out. If I don't like it I can set a different destination along the route I want to follow. And from that point set my final destination. JPL

I purchased 3 of the Garmin Nuvi GPS for my children and their spouses. I have a Garmin GPS but I wanted one for them that did more. I researched several types of gps devices and compared cost, size, and features. They are well satisfied with them--this gps has more features than mine such as shortest trip; shows where you are, also gas saver. They were worth the money and cost less than the gps I had purchased. This gps is very simple to use, so it doesn't take a lot of reading to figure it out.

This item was shipped in perfect condition and works perfectly. Read through all the features available to make sure this is the one for you. I chase this because it had everything I needed and nothing I didnt. I have used it a few times and it has worked perfectly. It is bright and easy to see, and the voice is very loud and easy to understand.

bought a Nuvi 250 last year for myself. This year bought two 255W's for our daughters who are driving through Alaska this summer. They were thrilled with the ease of use right out of the box & the maps for Alaska. The slim unit is portable & easily fits in your pocket. Highly recommended!

My GPS arrived very quickly. I loaded the 2010 Map set and then loaded all the nearby geo-caches as Custom POI's. Now I can easily see where to place a new cache and have no trouble getting to where I need to go. Great product!
