I had a TomTom which was OK but it didn't name the streets so I went for this during a great sale. It arrived very quickly much faster than I expected. It works great and I am very happy with the GPS. The unit does everything I wanted and I would recommend to anyone.

This is our first GPS unit and I must say while this Garmin does not have a lot of bells and whistles some of the others have it is very accurate and serves the purpose for what we need it to do. Very easy to operate and this site had the best price on the net, excellent deal. We couldn't have chosen a better starter unit. We are very satisfied.

Works perfectly with alot of features for the price. I paid 119.99 for this unit before Christmas. Only request to the manufacture is to have better directions on how to setup. The Quick Reference Guide is useless. Have to go online for more instructions.

This is a hoot. I bought one for myself and had so much fun argueing with it I got another for my father. The maps are only OK in Canada. They show the roads but many of the names are missing or wrong. They don't show any of the bush roads at all. It has a tendency to take the slowest route and I haven't figured out a way to tell it to ignore the roads that move at a snail's pace. Also, though it is a quibble, the pronunciation of everything in Quebec is so bad as to be hilarious.

Very easy to setup and understand. I was able to use it without reading the manual, very user friendly. I had been told that Garvin is the best GPS brand. So far so good.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my parents. Already have the same model -- easy to use and reliable. Speaks the street names and that is a definite plus. Good value for the money!

I am very satisfied with the Garmin Nuvi 255W, I lke the wider screen, vocal directions are easy to hear, like the fact you can begin typing an address and it will pull up several options for you to choose so you don't have to know exact spelling. Would buy this again!

good gps comes with one free map update can also get lifetime update from garmin reletivly cheap also will work with geochaching but, not weather proof so be warned on that part also would be nice if would anounce street names a little sooner on turn by turn text to speach lots of extra's to download though garmin rest of reviews i read are very accurate as well.

I am very impressed with this Garmin product. As soon as I charged it up, went through the easy setup and downloaded the latest updates, this unit was ready to use. Very impressed with the accuracy. All in all, great purchase, outstanding value.

I love my Garmin GPS, but it doesn't know the shortcuts that I know in general. Plus this a good GPS but not the one I wanted, so I will keep this one and get the better model for my other car. This model is good for a beginner driver but as a professional driver I need the ultimate model the 765T.

Garmin makes a top notch GPS. The nuvi 255w is no exception, especially for the $149 on Tiger.

This is my third Garmin GPS. I bought one each for my two daughters. PRO: It works very well etc. CON: No bluetooth, the 265W does. Overall this is a great product!!

This is the first GPS I purchased. I love using it. It's wonderful because some of the street signs are down and you really don't know the names. On the down side, I wish it would say the name of the street sooner and not when you're there. I would recommend it anyway.

I like that it shows you street names so you know what you are approaching. I like the speed limit posting of the road you are on. Only disappointment is it sometimes takes a while to acquire a signal.
