Windows 7 is great
Comment:
I tried Vista, went back to XP. But Windows 7 is clean and slick, installs really easily, and runs great. I've been using it at work for about 3 months, and have now upgraded one of my home machines to it. The rest will be upgraded soon.

OEM version
Comment:
Please remember that with an OEM version you HAVE to do a clean install. This cheaper version is designed to be installed in brand new PC's. A clean install (except for WIN7 Ultimate) is always a good idea. I was a beta tester of WIN7 and MS HAS produced an excellent product that makes networking a breeze - almost automatic if all your other PC's are running a version of WIN 7

Worth the transfer
Comment:
The OEM is not too bad price. Had a few kinks with installation, but were able to get those out with minimal troublshoot. If you have the OS before this one, its worth the upgrade. Everything loads faster and a lot less annoying popups.

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:None yet compared to other OS

Pros:Stable, robust, clean-looking, secure, easy to install
Comment:
Clean-installed on 2 4 year old computers (Win7 RC1 and WinXP) with this, and it worked great. In less than an hour, Win7 was running, and all my old ProgramFiles and Windows were in Windows.old, and the rest of the hard drive was safe. Easier installation than WinXP! Suggestion: First thing to do after installation is to grab Windows Security Essentials, Microsoft's free (with genuine licence) anti virus suite.

7 ROCKS!
Comment:
Yes, Vista was probably released too soon and had a lot of problems early on but MS has done a good job of shoring that product up. Unless you are trying to run some old hardware or you have some old or custom apps that were written specificly for XP, there is really no reason to stick with XP. That being said, 7 is a little better than what Vista is today but not much. Upgrade from XP (if you have the horsepower) and your computing life will be better! I don't see any big advantage in upgrading from Vista to 7 though.

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:Doesn't include Outlook Express

Pros:Nice, faster than Vista
Comment:
I recently installed this on a new computer with hardware very similar to one I own that uses Vista. The one with Windows 7 is much more responsive and faster. Windows 7 looks good and it is easy to find your way around. I was disappointed that Outlook Express wasn't included and I had to download Windows Live. But got that done and it will be fine. Windows 7 seems to utilize memory more efficiently and I like that.

All Vista frustrations melted away
Comment:
I used Vista for 2 years and switched back to xp 6 months ago. My motherboard died so I had to get a new computer before release of Windows 7. I got a Intel E8400 4 gig system and windows XP flied on it. I purchased windows 7 OEM home edition for my system For new installation of windows 7 I would advise getting Hard disk enclosure with esata connection and move your main hard disk to it Buy a new hard disk and install windows 7 After one month Windows 7 does everything for me so I have wiped out XP on the external hard disk. Windows 7 has addressed ALL my frustrations with Vista.

Works Very Well
Comment:
I dual-boot XP Pro and Windows 7 Home Premium on my Compaq Notebook And 7 is super. I can tell you for a fact though, do NOT upgrade if you want a flawless product. Get all of your drivers, save your 'favorites' or bookmarks, 3rd party software and do a

I did have a issue with upgrading but went back and did a clean install and it works perfectly. I dont have enough on my cpu to worry about moving all the files over, Plus it takes way longer to do that.

No problems with Windows 7
Comment:
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate in 20 minutes doing a clean install. Which is the only way to install an OS. It runs fast and is the most stable OS that MS has every released. I give it two thumbs up and recommend it to everyone.

WINDOWS 7 PROBLEMS
Comment:
I installed Windows 7, upgrading from Vista. Had problems such as slow downloads, window freezing up, during video streaming. Reinstalled Vista, no problems. I don't recommend anyone getting it, until Microsoft works out the bugs.
