EASE OF PRODUCT
Comment:
Found product easy to install. Had to reinstall dued to no fault of product. My first download was an upgrade from Windows Vista. I had no problem with the new system recognizing my programs. I would recommend it to everyone. One thing that Ilearned was that internet explorer 8 upgrade is not recognize by this product. Cannot download dued to incompatibility issues. I guess Windows7 have to conquered all issues yet. Still getting to know all the features.

Windows 7 OEM
Comment:
I think this is one of the best versions of Windows. What I really like about Windows 7 are the file icons and the taskbar. You're not chasing your programs across the screen through the start menu (if you don't like the clutter of icons on your desktop) and having the option to 'pin' your programs to the taskbar is a great feature. The installation took a while, but it's expected and the price of the OEM version is good. I'm glad I skipped Windows Vista and waited for the next Windows.

I love it. It works so much much better than the later OS's. The load times are faster, it has better video, and audio.

I am ashamed
Comment:
To admit I bought this product. This was to refresh a laptop purchased by mistake by a close friend 3 years ago. I am doing what I should have done 3 years ago, purchasing this OS, a new disk, a USB disk controller, and new versions of important applications. The laptop mistake contained Vista, and a load of OEM shovelware. Lingering, painful death is better than Vista. I will backup data off the old system, replace the disk, do a clean install with this OEM, install new versions of applications, and restore from the backup. The old system is still on the old disk, in case something did not copy. This is what I should have done 3 years ago, and then trashed the horrible Vista system, done a re-install of XP on the then new laptop. I hope to see what a nice piece of hardware the laptop is, without the plague of Vista infesting it. Win7 HAS to be an improvement, rape, torture and dismemberment are better than Vista.

Who Knew?
Comment:
I was hesitant to jump in to another new Windows. I remember when Windows ME came out and everybody said it was wonderful the first week. I rushed right out and bought it. That cured me of ever doing that again. I wasn't sure I was going to like Windows 7 and I don't. I LOVE IT!

It works OK for Windows
Comment:
Yes, it works. I still prefer linux and OS X but this does what I need. It it is still really bug and slow however; especially after all of the updates which actually slowed it down more. Oh well...

Great improvement over Vista!
Comment:
I always resist change. I was HAPPY with Windows 3.11. But change is inevitable if your old PC crashes or your husband must keep up with the Jonses. So we ended up eventually with two laptops running Vista. Boy, did I ever miss my XP. But as soon as we previewed Windows 7 using the beta version, we were SURE we didn't want to go back to Vista. So here we are with a real bona fide hard copy of Windows 7 and EVERYTHING is automated. Some old-faithful portions of Control Panel are hard to find because somebody decided important system facilities needed to be renamed, but they are still there, and they still work better than ever, just use your imagination and you will find it. The Libraries are somewhat confusing to me but I'm sure I will figure them out as well. I thought I was going to have to buy a 3rd-Party internet browser but was pleasantly surprised to find an icon for Internet Explorer on my desktop - Thank you very much.

Great Value

Windows 7 home premium 32 bit dvd oem is a great upgrade from xp on an older system. Should your drive be wiped many times over this system works fine with as little as 1gb memory and 1ghz of processor speed. Be cautioned that with lower specs there is a need for good utilities.
