Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:
none yet
Pros: Stable, faster than previous Windows versions. Comment:
I bought this for my acer netbook and I'm much happier now than when Vista was installed. This version runs way better than Vista, no crashes yet, I have not yet seen the message 'program not responding' with W7 that I was so used to seeing with Vista. Overall I highly recommend upgrading from Vista. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:
- Security and update alerts can get annoying but it is easily turned off- DX11 has high demands and is still not used widely, heck even DX10 isn't widely used yet
Pros: - Very fast boot up when compared to both xp and vista- Modern looking OS that is a step up from any windows before it- No more compatibility issues than vista- Niffty Aero features help to improve experience Comment:
Having used both xp and vista, I can that this is a major step forward for windows. 7 is much faster at booting up than vista. I have a Raid 0 of two 7200.11 drivers with vista on it and it boots up slower than my 4200rpm sony laptop! Also, on my laptop it manages to squeeze out a few more minutes of battery life. In terms of everyday speed, I can not comment because the operating system is on different computers but it feels snappy and intuitive. Definitely recommended if your looking to upgrade your OS. |

Nickle and dime time
Comment:
USB modem and serial adapters with Vista drivers needed new Win7 Drivers. I found some on the Web but they didn't work. Had to buy new devices. You'd think that they (Microsoft) would've protected Vista investors better. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Cons:
Dropped $10 instantly after I purchased it.Can only be used on 1 motherboard and not transferable...you need retail for that!
Pros: Not VISTA!Its W7, so it works great. Comment:
Its a great OS, better than Vista, more modern than XP. Not much else to say as it has sure made a lot of computer tech's life easier. Literally the day after I bought it, the regular price went down $10...kinda annoyed about that, but that's life. |

Pros: Hassle free loading, adaptable to older pc's Comment:
I purchased this 32x copy of windows 7 for an older netbook and I am impressed. I loaded this operating system with an external rom drive and this was so so simple. Windows works great including the media centre and the streaming is a great feture with windows 7 and a hit with the kids because they dont have to store very much on netbooks or laptops they can access it through another pc in the house. I highly recomend this version of windows 7 for older netbooks than have been running xp or older pc's running 2 gigs of memory or less and dont have a 64 bit capable processor. I have loaded this same version on a dell inspiron d600 with no difficulties also. |

a streamlined os
Comment:
finally ms has a product i like. xp was good, but 7 is better, faster, more streamlined and hey, eye candy is a good thing. a few things i don't like, but they are how i run windows and i had to resort to a third party app to get those functions. 2 updates so far and they haven't screwed up my machine. very happy. |

Windows 7 Home Premium 32Bit - OEM
Comment:
Ordered and shipped without delay. OEM Package was sealed, but it had a dent in the outer cardboard sleeve. The dent turned out to be a cracked case, but the DVD was intact. No problem installing from the DVD, or registering the OS, the Product Key is on the outside of the DVD Package and that is all I needed. I had to download the Video Driver for my XFX HD 4650 card and for a Promise SATA 300 PCI Card, all other hardware installed without issue. |

Windows 7 on the cheap
Comment:
Getting the OEM version is a great way to save some money. I performed a full install on a new 1.5T Western Digital drive. It installs cleanly and quickly. The exterior label says that you need an installation kit from Microsoft, but ignore that and install by simply booting up on the DVD. |

They Got It Right!
Comment:
Loaded this on a 4 year old HP Pavilion laptop and it installed in about 15 minutes without a hitch. Sound didn't work, and the video would not adjust, so I ran a update and it found and installed all my drivers seemlessly. Device Manager, Control Panel, and data management have all been upgraded to a more intuitive layout. Customizing the sound and visuals is now a single click away instead of the 4 or 5 clicks from older versions. A lot of nice eye candy and some well thought out work flow ideas as well. They got this one right. |

Windows 7 OEM
Comment:
Bought for installation on a 4 year old Fujitsu Lifebook N series. Installed without a hitch and then bam! couldn't get an update for the display driver. I gave up looking for one and pressed on with the updates and voila, the update fixed the resolution issues. Install updates before any other software, Microsoft actually did it right this time. |
