Bang for the buck
Comment:
I had to replace my Ultra Xconnect 500w ps after it died during a heated team deathmatch in COD5. Can't complain it lasted 3.5years and I had it loaded down with no issues. Since I have 3 HD, 2 CD/DVD burners, q8200 processor, 4gigs ram, and a nvidia 9800gt,5 case fans, a couple of uv cold cathods, and multiple peripheral usb devices, I thought I might need larger PS. The PS is modular cable are all long enough. I would have like one more set of the standard 4 pin cables. With a 140mm fan, 700W, 80+ efficiency, 3 yr warranty and 69 bucks after rebate you can't go wrong. PS it is quiet with hardly any fan noise and no buzzing.

All the power I need
Comment:
Have this power supply in a custom system with two optical drives (dvd+-rw and bd-rw drives), two hard drives (320 and 750 sata 7200rpm), single video card (Geforce 9600 gso 768mb ddr3), Intel Core i7 920, and an Asus P6T SE mobo with 4gb ddr3 1600Mhz memory. Some motherboards out there that have a 24 pin ATX connection REQUIRE all 24 wires from the power supply. If a power supply with only 23 wires on the ATX plug is used, these boards may refuse to post. Mine fortunately didn't (I also was not aware this power supply had only 23 wires on that plug). This is also a great deal when it comes to a modular power supply.

Wow.
Comment:
64.99 for a modular 700 Watt 80 Plus power supply, This PSU Powers all my components without a problem, (Q6600, 4 Hard Drives, 5 fans, GTX 280, etc.) considering power supplies are going for 100+ that are 700 watts and aren't even modular, this is a plus. also from a great manufacturer.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons:-None

Pros:-OCZ legendary reliability-OCZ devotion to quality-OCZ devotion for offering the best ratio priceperformance-Modular-The cheapest and highest rated 80 plus power supply 85%+ at 300W to 500W-OCZ always paid my mail in rebate
Comment:
At 54.99 with price match and mail in rebate, it was a really awesome deal. It's the highest rated 80plus power supply in that range of price. It's doing what you expect from a modular power supply. I would have liked to have 2 8&6 pins PCIe connectors, but still, I don't have to complain.Run 2 4850 in Crossfire OC easily without an assle... in fact, it's my cards that are the problems. Just check Asus TOP 4850 cards on the net and you will understand.Seriously, I cannot ask for anything else. OCZ never let me down and they never stop impressing me... OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons:None so far....

Pros:Decent power, modular, nicely sleeved.

I picked up this PSU because I wanted something larger to use in my media server, and for the occasional diagnosis/backup use, plus in the latest sale it was a pretty smokin' deal.Although this unit got a mixed review on HardOCP, I figured it would be ok for the intended use, and just to experiment a bit, it's been sitting in my main computer for the last 2 or 3 days. My main comp. has a slightly overclocked Core i7 920, a 4890 XT, 2 hard drives(for now), an optical, and 5 fans(so far), and so far this unit has worked fine at powering everything while either Folding(both SMP & GPU), or gaming. Given what was said in the above mentioned review, the longevity of this PSU remains to be seen, but given the excellent price in this last sale, I'm willing to take a small chance that it won't last, plus OCZ warranty service is excellent, so that always helps.Good things about this PSU:- Enough power for current setups, with the possible exception of extremely loaded computers.- Modular cabling, so you can use only the ones you need, and be able to increase airflow.- Very nice package, which includes the cables all being sleeved, right up to the PSU itself, and a nice little bag to store any unused modular cables.- OCZ warranty service, should it be needed.- Great price on sale.Bad things:- According to the review I mentioned above, some no-name capacitors, of unknown quality, being used in this unit.- Somewhat short warranty, at only 3yrs. instead of the 5yrs. that several PSUs have.- Some of the cables MIGHT be a little short in some of the larger cases, especially if you're trying to do some nice cable management(my case is fairly large, but not quite as big as several current cases).

quiet and great looking psu...ocz FTW!!!!
Comment:
this psu is really good. it can power high end system and at the same time is a modular psu. the 700watts this psu has is sufficient for a high end system. this psu has a 46a on the 12v rail because you do it this way: this pus has 2 12v rails of 25a each so.... 25+25: 50a on the 12v rail(wrong) 552watts on 12v 1 and 12v 2 divided by 12= 46a on the 12v rail(correct) so 46a is pretty good. this psu can handle a gtx 260 core 216 all the way up to a gtx 295. or 2 gts 250 in sli or 2 gtx 260 in sli.

great buy
Comment:
this PSU is a great buy, it runs quiet, has enough mod wires for the system I put it in, like how all the cables are covered, would like a better color, 1 con, why did they use 2 12v cables, 4 pin 8 pin, not necessary, but otherwise a great product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a Mod 700
