OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons:I simply can not find a con with this unit. I tested the voltage rails' fluctuation and they barely move at all; this is more proof to the quality of the parts. There is no smell that some power supplies produce as well as no noise like buzzing or high pitched electronic sounds. Upon inspecting the back I could see the inside is extremely tidy. There is no glue splattered around like some manufacturers and every component is cooled by the fins and fan. I suppose the only con is that the power supply only comes with 2 PCI-e connections; one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin. You could use adapters to change regular 4 pins into more PCI-e connectors but it's not quite as stable. Or you could get a 4870x2 and never have to worry about it.

Pros:OCZ made a quiet, energy efficient, and powerful modular power supply. This unit is as quiet as they get (with a fan). I isolated the PSU from the rest of my computer and listened in. Even with my ear on the fan side, 1 foot away from the other components, I could barely hear it. The processor fan on idle was louder still. Also, the air that comes out of the PSU is actually somewhat cool, with an efficiency rating of 84% on idle and load for my components. The modular connections are very nicely wrapped in sleeves all the way to the connectors so there is no wire visible at any point. The ones that remain connected to the PSU are very flexible with a feel of durability.
Comment:
OCZ made an excellent decision adopting PC power and Cooling. This power supply has high quality parts at a great price. Being modular also helps greatly in cabling inside the case. Don't let the higher watts power supplies scare you into thinking you need them for a high end system. I use this PSU for: ATI 4870x2, phenom 9950 (125w), 4GBs OCZ 1066 memory, DFI LP JR 790GX-M2RS, 1TB Samsung F1 HD103UJ, and water cooling with pump on max speed. I still have 190 watts (at full load) to spare for overclocking should I want to. Even at 510 watts load it is silent and cool running. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking to power a high end system while still looking for silence. I hate the phrase but it's the best bang for buck you will find.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons:Not 'High-End'

Pros:Sale Price w/Mail-In RebateModularGood Quality
Comment:
The sale price for this with on of OCZ's frequent mail-in-rebate specials is quite good. It's a modular PSU that is better than any of the no-name paperweights out there, but obviously this isn't a Corsair or Seasonic, but then again those brands are quite a bit more expensive.Solid PSU, good amperage on the rails. Only caveats are I would have preferred the amps across the rails instead of being split into 25A per rail. Also the sleeving could cover the cables better. All in all what do you expect for a $50-$60 700W PSU?

Incredible PSU x 45$ you can't beat it. Stable, powerful, silent 135mmm fan... Great choice of cables. with my build I'm only using the 2 PCI-E wires and 2 sata cables so they don't get in the way of my airflow!

Pros:cheapreally good for mainstream - gaming computers

I find this produce worth the money. I got it for 80$ ($90 with tax) and with a mail-in rebate.. but the rebate is mistaken and there were never any rebate for 9/9~9/22.. so i got a little pissed off there... but other than that.. this power supply hasn't given me any problems.

Cons: -I am willing to bet at high loads it will get loud as my GameXtreme

Pros: +Good price+80++Seems quiet at the low loads i place on it
Comment:
Got this as a overkill power supply for my brother. Since his power loads are very low this thing is fairly quiet. I also have a GameXteme 700 that is not quiet(seems to have been when it was new). Still a good value for the price and the modular cables are a nice touch.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons: the 8pins cpu power cable is not that long enough to plug in from the back of the case.my 5870 needs two 6pins video power cables, so if another card needs another two 6pins, you need to use D-pin to transfer.

Pros: Modular cables that are long enought for my CM 690II case, black color, 135mm fan is quit. 80PLUS, it is the time to save our Earth.

i bought it on sale so the price is pretty good if i could get my rebate back.Ocz have good products with reasonable(or cheap) price, my last ocz 500W power supply is still working now.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons: None that I can think of

Pros: Modular power supply. Less cable clutter
Comment:
My old media center machine currently has an OCZ 500W power supply in it and I am thoroughly satisfied with it. The fan in it is super quite, even after leaving it on for 24x7x365 since it was build almost 2 years ago.Because of this past experience, I decided to purchase this one. Some of the other modular power supplies were over $150 but this one came in at under $80 with a rebate. I've used OCZ products in the past and used to exclusively use their RAM in all the systems I used to build. Even today, systems I build at work all get OCZ RAM and never had I had a problem. I'm starting to use their power supplies as well and may even start putting some of their SSDs in the systems I build. Good reliable products at an affordable price.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons: Short cables.

Pros: Modular design.Low Cost.
Comment:
Overall, it's a fairly good power supply. I haven't had any problems using it so far. The only weakness is it's short cables. I wasn't able to hide the 8 pin CPU cable through the back of my case since it was about a inch too short. This was on a mid tower case with a bottom mounted power supply location.

I bought one of these a year ago since I needed a cheap power supply and figured I could swap out my PS with this one. I only paid about 40$ after rebate, which was a great deal. Being able to remove any unused power cables is awesome

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons: - Somewhat flimsy power cable that came with it, although it probably doesn't affect power quality

Pros: - Solid PSU for a very good price- Big fan means less fan noise when operating
Comment:
For less than $100, this PSU is a great buy. You're a step up from those budget PSUs which may advertise high Wattage but really can't deliver when needed. The ModXStream line of PSUs from OCZ generally provide steady and consistent power to your system, and at 700W, it is good for a pretty decent gaming rig.The modularity of the PSU is a bonus for those who like to keep their cases as clean as possible, although I would've liked it a bit more if the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors were a few inches longer, as I couldn't route these cables behind my Antec 900 case, meaning they had to hang out front. Not that big a deal because both these cables are nicely bundled, so it just ends up looking like two really thick cables rather than the dozens its really made up of.Overall a very good PSU and an extremely good price.

I've owned an OCZ psu for about 4 years now and I've sent it back to them twice now for repair. Fast RMA turn around but you have to pay to ship it to them and in my case I had to it twice. Will never buy another OCZ psu again.

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W ATX 20/24PIN SLI Ready Modular Cables 140MM Fan 80PLUS Power Supply
Cons: Horrible quality control, should read my thread about my experience with this power supply.

Pros: Quiet, efficient, slightly lower price than similar power supplies with similar specs.
Comment:
OCZ isn't the best choice for power supplies, the only good thing is that they have pretty good deals going on for them with the purpose just to promote them. BFG did that too but I would rate BFG power supplies above OCZ. I'm not going to buy another OCZ power supply for a long time, too many bad experience with them. Why do I keep buying them if they aren't that great? Price. I'm a computer technician so price is a important thing, I build a lot of computers to sell and I build a lot for small and mid sized companies. They are still a lot better than generic brand name power supplies.

Running this PSU with the following specsAMD Athlon II X3-440XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GBCoolermaster Hyper 212 +Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TBEverything is running perfectly with no issues and it is SUPER silent! The only downside to this PSU is the length of the cable. But maybe that's only an issue if you bottom mount the PSU. I still highly recommend this product from OCZ!

I just bought my second one of these for my new build in a CM Haf Mid Tower and I must say I am really happy again. Modular build allows a very good and clean cable orientation in a case like this. The additional extension cables are also useful in cases where you dont want any cables running over the mobo.

Pros: Modular sleeved cablesPlenty of wattage for mid-range systemGood qualityquiet operation
Comment:
My first experience working with a modular power supply, it was very easy to install and makes a clean build much easier to accomplish. Some of the cables (4-pin power) were a bit of a stretch, but they all fit nicely in an Antec three hundred case. It's being used in an always on mid-range computer with an E8400cpu, HD 5760gpu, 1 HDD, and 1 DVD so it has more than enough wattage for these components.

Works great, great assortment of cables, there is a 6 pin Video card power plug permanently attached to the case, plus room for 2 more on the modular side. I don't use the plug currently so it is loose in the case. Other then that, I love the modular PSU! It's great
