If you need bigtime storage and a small cost, I highly recommend this one. Don't fool yourself into thinking this thing will be super fast, but really it's made for mass storage.And the sale price is ridiculous... too bad it's ONE PER CUSTOMER ! |

Cons:Possible Formatting Learning Curve for new users with XP.
Pros:64Meg Cache, Capacity, Energy Features. Comment:
The price of this drive while on sale was excellent and using this drive as a "movies only" drive is the perfect balance between cost/energy savings. When accessing the drive I find that it's very fast and response from idle to active is not a slouch. I just ordered another one from a customers account to use as their main drive. Oh and I find this drive cool and quiet. |

it is great, I bought if for storage, I have SSD's my OS and programs, and that is the way it should be. This is great for storage, lots of room, silent, cool, uses little power, streams 1080p movies with ease. Great hard drive, just maybe not if you have XP, and have to do the special formatting |

Though one of my drives died right away, i would still recommend these drives for any enclosures, or nas use. According to my nas these drives are running about 10 degrees Celsius cooler than my other seagate drives both at idle and under load. |
Installed in a XP machine as a secondary drive for storage of movies, music and photos. No problems so far with using it to stream movies in conjuction with the Patriot Box office.
