Nice balance of price & efficiency None I was interested in playing the Callisto lottery, you know, cool, unlock & overclock, but with only a 60 % achievement rate I decided to prevent the danger and preserve my warranty as effectively.

Installed with no difficulty. Overclocks nicely to three.eight. Went with a Scythe SCSMZ 2000 cooler as an alternative of stock. Even with overclock it stays cool and quiet. None Excellent worth for a wonderful cpu with energy and the potential to overclock. Would surely purchase once again.

this cpu is amazing. for 120 you can't go wrong! just make sure you have an aftermarket cpu before you do any overclocking. the stock cpu fan is pretty lousy.

Good value for a lot of energy. Really effortless to overclock. I have it overclocked to 3800MHz on the stock fan with absolutely no concerns. Fan was a bit tricky to install In my knowledge, the present version of AMD overdrive doesn't function when attempting to overclock this precise chip. You can download an older version though and it performs fine.

This processor is rapid have had no issues with every little thing else I had bought. It is doing good with every thing I've been throwing at it from recent demanding games to productivity and multi-tasking. The stock heatsink is very loud. A single of the loudest but absolutely nothing to whine also a lot more than. This is exactly where the -1 egg is coming from! Heatsinks can be replaced very easily! The difference in processing power and cost in comparison to the phenom II 965 is favored for the 955 so if you are seeking to shave some cash on your construct select this one!

Good CPU, especially for price/performance ratio. Capable of handling lots of tasks at once (games, browser, music, and Matlab code)

Runs pretty quick at a sweet cost. Apparently OC is straightforward and I would think it. Stock cooler keeps it nicely cool beneath stress; nowhere over 45C on games like ME2. None so far. I haven't bothered to OC it however as I'm fairly content material with the stock speed. Nor have I run Crysis on it.

Pros:Excellent price. Snappy processing. Good times.

I chose this over a newer AMD Bulldozer FX CPU for my budget build. It's much more affordable than an i5-2500k, and gives you a very good bang for your buck. Highly recommended!

Price tag, comes with cooler + the cooler has thermal grease pre-loaded. None. The max my system could do was 3.6ghz or 220X16. I dont care although, I run it at three.two anyways.

Hands down an Amazing CPU. If your going back and forth with intel/amd or x2/x4. Stopping thinking and just order this factor. It is amazing. I've utilised the X2 555, it didnt unlock the cores, it is a 50኎ opportunity that if you get it, it also won't unlock. it occurs. This infant is a True 4-core that has no difficulty with 3.6Ghz. Almost everything stock. Full load with Prime95 for two-3hrs, by no means got more than 65c. Get this thing people. None, its an great processor.

Amd is falling behind intel's processors but they still have the best bang for their buck (in my opinion) and this is one of the most reliable processors out there.

Absolutely amazing. I can have games, Skype and Firefox running, and the CPU never ever goes above 50% load. It's awesome. Mounting the fan was annoying. Not actually adequate to take off an egg though, thinking about it was my initially time. Coming from an old Athlon 64 single core processor, 512MB of DDR1 Ram, and integrated graphics, this is a godsend. It is completely wonderful and I'm incredibly happy with this processor and my rig. I can basically do things without having my laptop locking up in this procedure intensive globe. If I develop a much better rig, I'll look into a six core and see how nicely that goes.My rig:-ASUS M4A87TD -AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.two Ghz-COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M700 700W-HIS IceQ Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit -G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) DDR3 1600-Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200 RPM-Windows 7 Property Premium 64 Bit -COOLER MASTER Centurion five Aluminum/Steel case

Comment:
Super quick, simply oc'ed, quad core trumps my old single core hands down. The fan is so freaking loud, I mean it spins up to 7000 rpm in no time with the oc, even before it was oc'ed it was nonetheless the loudest fan I've ever had before, I'd like to only dock it a half egg for that but it's annoying adequate that I can't use my comp with no headphones, Hopefully my new heat-sink will take care of it. surely acquire an aftermarket heat-sink fan combo to go with it, the noise will drive you out of the room with no headphones, The fan and heat-sink looks great and works properly, but the sound is so annoying. Other than that a great item for the cost I advise it to any person.

Quickly and super straightforward to overclock. 4ghz on default voltage on air (CM Hyper 212+). Will push it tougher when I have far more time, but 4ghz x four cores = great. Stock heatsink doesn't look too negative (has some heat pipes at least) but you truly ought to get a decent aftermarket cooler. The Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is nice and commonly on sale in the ษ range. Pros:Was always an Intel guy, last three builds have been AMD just to try out the competiton. Love the value of AMD! The 955 Black with my Intel SSD is so screaming fast for me I haven't even bothered to overclock yet!

My first review on NCIX, purchase a lot of open box stuff and it all performs flawlessly. Thought it was time to put up a few reviews. Oh, and quick and very reasonable shipping rates. Thanks NCIX!

Half the cost of a comparable intel processor. Incredibly Rapidly. None that I've found. Hyperthreading is a bit slower than Core i7. This pc is utilized for hours every single day by everybody in the home. Runs photoshop, media player, downloads, and plays a movie on my Television all at the very same time with no hesitation.

Bought it off NCIX's outlet store on Ebay for $95. The stepping in mine was C2. For those looking for OC numbers, you're in luck.Primed for 5 hours - no errors4.2gz1.475vmultiplier 20xbus 210solid..... and i think there is even more room left. I can't complaint, I upgraded from a Phenom II X3 series and the performance gain is still big. Cheers

Bought in a PC Builder package as my first Build.Maxed OC at 4.2 Ghz using just the multiplier on a 110mm Zalman heatsink. System was rediculously snappy and comfortable at 4.0 but I'm just playing it safe at 3.6 on a day to day basis and I love it. System never hangs.Paid about $180 a year ago and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, especially at the current price/sale.My current system bottlenecks are my HDD and GPU so with the money you save on this thing an SSD would make it perfect

three.2 GHz stockQuad CoreGreat bang for the buck Incredibly loud stock cooler Sadly, I find the stock cooler extremely loud compared to the rest of the fans. I dropped the max fan speed a small to aid with the noise, but it nonetheless is fairly loud.Temp wise its excellent. Slightly overclocked to three.4 GHz from clocking my RAM to 1600MHz and dropped the voltaged to 1.2V to preserve the temps down to allow me to drop fan speed much more. Hovers around 52C even though running Prime95 for 30 minutes. Idles about 35C or 36C with the loud stock cooler.

Purchased to replace my old Athlon, when bulldozer flopped. I never experience it bottleneck my system, most applications don't use quad core anyway, they don't bring it to 100%; and games use mostly GPUs these day. Great cpu.
