AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: None

Pros: 3.2ghz Quad Core 125W
Comment:
An impressive CPU! Even with the most taxing gaming it has performed beautifully and stayed cool with the supplied fan & heatsink. Overclocking is easy, however I like to run my units at normal clocking. I am sure glad I went with the 125W Black over the 90W others. Windows 7 runs cleanly with my two monitors and 3D gaming set-up. Always been a big fan of AMD and this is another positive for them.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: none at this price

Pros: $141 for a quad coredestroys my old 2.8Ghz dual coreBlack Edition, so can go nuts with OC... if desired
Comment:
After a year and a bit with my X2 7850, I decided to move on up to the Quad. It's pretty sweet. The largest gains I've noticed is in the area of video editing / conversion of formats. This along with my new motherboard have made me very happy. I have yet to OC this baby. I havent yet cause I dont game and the difference in the extra Ghz's will not be too useful to me at the moment vs the increase in power consumption. If I OC I will post results.

Pros: Affordable, Performance, Unlocked Multipliers
Comment:
Great processor. Picked it up for $150 using price match. Overclocked to 4.07 ghz on 1.4v with a cooler master hyper 212. The best bang for your buck. Highly recommended to anyone on a tight budget and wants some serious performance. Only downside is that

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: Get a little hot with stock HSF

Pros: Cheap and fast
Comment:
Very reliable little CPU. I like it for the price it's a bargain. My only complain is with the stock HSF and fans in my case, it used to get a little hot and spin it's fan very fast wich was annoying. Bought additional fans for my case and now all is well.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: The auto clock sometimes does not ramp up to 3.2ghz on some tests like the Heaven benchmark for some reason.

Pros: Chip works great in my older Gigabyte ma770 ud3 board, thank you am2/3+ . Doubled up my amd 7750 x2 processor in all benches.
Comment:
Great upgrade for a steal at $149. Runs at 3.4 with still low heat values. I'm happy I can hold off on the whole ram/motherboard/ cpu upgrade for another year or 2...Will be trying a 5850 up from a 5770 xfx card next week, which should help also. Can't beat the price/performance mark.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: -can't compare with intel's i5 quad and above lineup-might as well have had it oc to 3.8 ghz out of the box (barely had to change to voltage to get it stable)

Pros: -price to performance ratio is great-good enough for gaming -a piece of cake to oc to 3.8 ghz-much better than its competitors in this price range
Comment:
A great budget CPU for gaming, but won't be able to compete with the top more expensive intel CPU's. Still there is no point in going over the i5 760 barrier for gaming (as benchmarks shown the performance is minimal once you go past the i5 760).

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: AMD performance not up to Intel's level

Pros: Good price performance
Comment:
Price performance point is decent for this high end amd cpu when price matched. Needed a good gaming CPU for a budget build, and this fit the bill. It was definitely worth the extra cost to get the additional cores since a similarly clocked dual or tri core CPU wasn't much less.If I needed midrange or on a slightly restricted budget, I would pick this up again.

Pros: Combined with Easy Tune, it is a good OC beginner friendly CPU.A good price for the quad core you are getting. (If you get it in a bundle deal or sale)Can take a bit of OC with stock cooling
Comment:
I am a new comer to overclocking and when looking to build myself a PC, nothing beat this in term of pricing for what I am going to get. I overclocked this to 3.6Ghz on stock cooling it was stable for the entire duration of 10 hrs or so of running memtest86. The highest temperature it hit was 45C. With even more potential if I get a better cpu cooling unit, I would probably be using this for a couple of years to come. I use my PC for mostly 3D renderings (Solid Works, AutoCad 3D)

For the price (at the time of purchase), this processor is hard to beat, especially considering overclocking potential. Bumped up the speed to 3.6 (enough for my current needs) with room to spare.

Comment:
I am not an Intel or AMD fanboy and I like to choose what processor suits my needs better.I'm really happy that AMD is part of the competition since Intel would sell the Celeron for 500$ otherwise! This processor is fast, very good for overclocking since the multiplier is unlocked. The price is just amazing for a processor like this one!

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: Le trop petit ventilateur de 70mm du refroidisseur très bruyant même au idle. À pleine charge il tourne à plus de 5000RPM!!

Pros: Processeur puissant.4 coeurs.Multiplicateur débloqué facilitant l'overclocking.
Comment:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: None I can find.

Pros: Very overclock friendly, efficient, good price for the performance received, packaged well with good quality (for stock) heatsink.
Comment:
I'm very happy with this purchase, was able to get it with an instant savings and a nice combo deal applied to my ram. I'm not sure if luck had anything to do with it but this little guy is happily stable (and surprisingly cool) even with a little overclocking. I have run it stable at 3.8GHZ with low/mid 40's (Celsius) temps but was a little leery to push further on stock heatsink.

Pros: Good ValueQuad CoreSupports DDR3 and DDR2
Comment:
Bought this for a build that was on a budget. At the time of purchasing this, it was on sale for $25 off isntantly, and came with a free coupon for Modern Warfare 2. This worked out to be about $170 after discounts and MW2.I was originally looking at the Phenom II 925 cpu which was $155 dollars (and did not have MW2 included). However with the $25 dollar discount and FREE copy of MW2, this actually in a sense worked out cheaper, as the owner that the build was for would have paid $60 Canadian from a local retailer for the game anyways. As an intel i7 fan, I have to say the price of these Phenom II and performance you get from these, makes for great budget friendly gaming builds.
