AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:The glass is all full here, folks.

Pros:Hugely powerful CPU, highly overclockable, plows through everything thrown at it
Comment:
Mated with Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 MoBo, Powercolor Radeon HD6770 GPU, 8GB RAM, overclock autorun finally topped out at amazing 4.3GHz all the way up from 3.2GHz spec!!! Threw everything at it at once (running TV in Media Center, wifi network file transfer, Internet Explorer, Excel, tons of customized background processes, etc.) without so much as a flicker from this s-kickin' CPU. Same with games (DiRT3 for example runs awesomely). Stays cool (max I've seen so far ~40C), this is with Coolermaster Hyper TX3 heatsink swapped out for the one that comes with the CPU from AMD. Best value for $ I've seen.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:The first one was DOA

Pros:Great CPUVery FastGreat value
Comment:
After returning the first one because it was DOA (NCIX were nice enough to replace it with a new one) I finally had my computer up and running. This CPU is very good. I have no problems running multiple game clients and I haven't even overclocked it.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:none so far

Pros:affordable performance, sale price, can be unlocked easily if you want to OC, Matches very nicly with the MB, Quad core
Comment:
It was part of combo set, paired up with the Sapphire Pure CrossFireX 890GX. plays very nicely with the Board, no problems with install. Put a Corsair Cooling Air Series A50 cooler on it no problems, runs very cool and more than fast enough for my needs. For $100 can't complain. I've built 3 rigs recently with a variaty of amd proseccors for family and friends and all have performed well so far. My own rig has a core I5 750 proseccor and this build with the "AMD 955 Quad" feels just as fast in use and it cost half the price!!! for a budget gaming rig you can't go wrong.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:-Overshadowed by the Bulldozer class processors

Pros:-Very fast, 4 cores at 3.2ghz-Stable overclocks-Unlocked-Price to performance ratio is amazing-AM3 socket, so your motherboard will a bit more future proof.
Comment:
Amazing chip, very fast considering its only 120$. I've yet to see this processor bottleneck my computer in any way shape or form, and its hard to do enough at 1 time that'll max out all 4 cores. Overall extremely satisfied with this product.

Comment:
a wonderfully reasonably priced purchase if you are a casual gamer in will need of an upgrade, runs quickly, effective, and the heatsink alone is pretty nifty searching if you have a clear case does run at a bit greater temperature than I would like, I intend to fix this with a little arctic silver and an even superior heatsink

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Not as quick as intel but gets the job done

Pros:Great Processor at an amazing price point. Stays nice and cool on stock and easily overclocked.
Comment:
Picked this up several different times for budget gaming builds. Has been working great. Easily overclocks for some more power. While it may not be as fast as a Intel proc it gets the job done at a significantly smaller price point!

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Didn't buy from NCIX :(

Pros:Price/Performance Ratio. Easy Over-Clocker.
Comment:
Excellent Proc! Paired with a Corsair A70, Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3, 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill Sniper 1600mhz RAM, XFX 6850 800mhz. Current CPU OC is 3.825ghz (x19, 1.45v), NB & HT OC to 2.2ghz (x11) & GPU OC to 875mhz/1250mhz. ROCK SOLID after several hours of Prime95 & Furmark with max temps hitting 53*C for CPU, 72*C for GPU, 32*C for NB, 63*C for VRM. My CM 690 II Advanced helps to keeps these components nice and cool. I did hit 4.0ghz but Prime95 kept failing on the 4th core after only a few seconds so bumped it back down to 3.825ghz and has been ROCK SOLID since.

Comment:
3.2Ghz effortlessly clocked to 3.6 with stock cooler. Stock cooler is nice. As always I would advocate a aftermarket cooler. Generally trustworthy and durable, That's AMD for you! Its not a 8 core/thread CPU clocked at 12GHZ with a Nitrogen cooler! I've never ever really used anything but AMD/ATI and I will say, "You can't go wrong with AMD!"

Cons:No issues have been encountered

Pros:Extreme overclocking ability, stays super cool.
Comment:
It's a CPU and it works. Overclocking ability is high. 3.8GHz without increasing the voltage (stock motherboard voltage of 1.4V). 4GHz+ with only minor increases of voltage. Together with NB overclock it gives massive gains in CPU and RAM potential.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Comment:
it's an ok CPU. Absolutely nothing to make me wow of. the heat sink looks nice, but the stock fan is running way too loud. I didn't OC or disable Cool'n Quiet. The stock fan is a poor style and a waste of income. I have to invest income on an additional heat sink and fan. I also have a Phenom x2 overclocked with stock fan and the fan is still quieter than this junk fan. AMD really should design a better fan for this cpu or get rid of it to minimize expense and resources.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:stock cooler is TERRIBLE and at least 50db loud

Pros:Decently fast, comes with cooler, cheap
Comment:
It's a pretty decent processor. It's a black edition so it can overclock well. The stock cooler is absolutely TERRIBLE and has to speed up to 5k rpm and at least 50db. It's kind of annoying.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:None

Pros:Ok where to start. 6mb cache, true quad core design, easily overclockable to 4ghz on air if you have C3 stepping. Works like a champ, I haven't found anything yet that it cannot handle. Excellent for games because of the higher clock rate. Basically, for $110 you get an awesome quad that will hold you over until BullDozer is released
Comment:
Okay, its a black edition so we all know what you're going to do with it when you got the thing broken in. And since these are the C3 stepping, let me tell you this; you got quite some play with this thing. It has been a fantastic overclocker from day 1. Why bother with the intel that goes for 200 more dollars than this? 4.2GHz on 1.4VCore is nice enough. I cannot stress anymore that you'll need to upgrade the stock cooler.

Comment:
Replaced a socket 939 AMD Athlon x two 4400. I figured that the law of diminishing returns would be in effect. Meaning that just simply because there was twice as quite a few cores it wouldn't necessarily be twice as quickly, but it is way more than twice as fast with tasks I've performed. Video encoding/transcoding takes about a third the time it did ahead of. Runs cool enough and I get far fewer hangs in Windows than I utilised to. N/A. Employing a cooler other than OEM, but I usually have. They just work much better.
