AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:125W, included heatsink could be better, but read on!

Pros:Surprising performance! Bad Company 2 without a sweat!Cheap, 4 cores, lots of cache.
Comment:
Unlike previous comments, I don't find the included CPU's heatsink to be that much loud. It certainly isn't silent, but if you've got a fairly loud build, it will blend with the rest; and it does a surprisingly good job cooling this 125W CPU. If this is your first AMD build, don't be shy to pull the lever to put the heatsink in place even though you feel like it's about to break.I wasn't expecting that much horse power out of this processor! Paired with a HD6850, I achieved a $600 gaming build that supports Bad Company 2 at the highest settings while providing about 60 FPS! Quite amazing! AMD still beat Intel in the ~$100 price range as Intel's processors in this range are mainly dual core CPUs; most games such as BBC2 will benefit of additional cores.Paired with a board such as the Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3, you've got an AM3+ ready build that may play today's game at the highest settings.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:LOUD fan

Pros:Fast Processor, Good for gaming
Comment:
I bought this processor for an upgrade to my gaming build and so far i have had no issues. The stock fan included with this can get up to 6500-7000rpm's when gaming and is very annoying so i would recommend getting a aftermarket heat sink.

Cons:None

Pros:Price On Sale, Overclockable, Quad No Fuss.
Comment:
Slapped this in a Gigabyte board at stock settings and am enjoying a nice gaming rig for my buddy. I slapped an aftermarket Arctic Cooling Cooler on this to run quieter. This is just stock settings and everything is flying along quite nicely for a mid-gaming rig.

Comment:
I bought this for my gaming rig that I was building a month back. So far it hasn't given me trouble in anyway. It handles any new game with some computing power left over. Very easy to overclock. I got it to 3.6 GHz on stock heatsink. Price matched at the time for $109.99. Great for budget builds, but will still handling most anything you throw at it.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Loud CPU fan

Pros:Fast, quad core, fantastic overclocker, CHEAP!
Comment:
I've been using this processor for a couple of months now and I could hardly be happier. Using the stock CPU fan I've had it overclocked to 3.5GHz with very modest temperatures. I know I could go higher but I'm waiting to buy a better cooler before I do. It is very fast and I have not yet seen any game that can slow it down much. It is also crazy fast when encoding video, I've found. My only complaint is that under loud the fan is LOUD, easily the loudest component in my case.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:None, except my new i5 2500K makes it seem pokey, like my 4850e HTPC.

Pros:Great price/performance ratio. Produces less heat than a 550BE unlocked to B50 quad core.
Comment:
I have one of these in my wife's PC and one in my workshop PC (formerly my office PC but replaced with an i5). This is a great processor and still a heck of a value IMO. I tried out Sandy Bridge which kills this in subjective testing of desktop 'snappiness' and HD Video encoding speed. Then again the other Intel platform costs nearly double. In all honesty this is more than most people will need! Highly recommended.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Stock cooler is loud.

Pros:Great bang for the buckOverclocks well straight out of the box
Comment:
Excellant bang for the buck on this, overlocks surprisingly well even just on the stock cooler. But that stock cooler is *loud*. I ran it for a bit before putting on an H50, and it was easily louder than any of my case fans when it span up to full speed. It was effective granted. But loud. You'll want something else on there.

Amazing for the price. Don't listen to these Intel fanboys tellin you to buy intel instead of AMD. This chip for the price/performance rocks the house. Running mine at 3.92 on an H50 and its not even hitting over 50c.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Weak performance compared to competing cpu's, but, that's why it's priced no much better

Pros:Crazy bang for buckCan undervolt at stock speeds with no stability lossCan oc a couple hundred mhz with no voltage increaseRuns like a champ
Comment:
Bought this over 2 years ago, a couple of days after it's initial release, paid 285 for this baby.Oc'd it on day of purchase to 3.4 with no voltage increase, then late last year to 3.6 with .05 v increase, now running 100% stable at 3.7 h 1.425 volts with multiplier at 18 and fsb at 206 mhz (ram h 1648mhz, 1.8v due to that). Temps stay below 50 C with Xigmatek's good old S1283 + a discontinued 140mm scythe fan blowing at med/high. Also have ample positive pressure airflow, as long as room temps are decent of course.I can reach 3.8 but things become unstable for cpu intense apps since I don't want to oc my entire system as my NB heatsink skins my Forte sound card so i'm not interested in tempting fate with that one :)All in all great cpu, never kept one for this long, if you have a great aftermarket heatsink that competes with mine, buy this cpu, oc it to 3.6+ and enjoy the money saved. That or wait for bulldozer :)

Very nice looking case with HD fans very quit and you can adjust as you wish. After 10 hours running the test PC is very cool and nice. You will be able unlock up to 7000MHZ if you use the board 880 but I wouldn’t recommend that I would just leave it as it is it will work just fine for a long time. Over clocking can damage the system.I would definitely order more or recommend to my client to get one. This CPU is the bestGood work AMDbut the price is too high

Comment:
great price, one of the best bang for you buck. I didn't try to overclock, however because it's a black edition it will be a little bit easier. Also my plan is to buy a AM3+ mobo when they come out and then use this cpu, which i am sure will still be good for a little while.

Cons: The stock fan sucks i would recomend everyone to purcase an aftermarket cup cooler if u can't bear the sound of the stock cooler.

Pros: this cup replaces my althon X2 this out of the box it performs amazingly even though is not clocked and its very straight foward to put it together.
Comment:
NCIx was able to match me with the cheapest price and was able to give me the beast deal.
