Well it's price efficient and powerful, and overclocks well. It's good to be able to be playing games and instantly flip to windows back and forth and open programs nigh immediately. -Stock fan is a tad loud. UPGRADED FROM: AMD 5000+ Black Edition AM2Installed this alongside a new motherboard and RAM, booted up Windows 7 1st try and got every thing sorted in 30 minutes.Would absolutely obtain once more. |

Comment:
Incredibly quickly CPU and it has function flawlessly out of the box on my initially construct. I picked it up simply because I've read a lot very good items about this CPU and the reviews everywhere appear to back it up. Plus it is at a quite superior cost point.Satisfied with it out of the box and don't genuinely program to overclock anytime soon so the default heat sink is fine with me. This isn't regarding the CPU itself, but it has to do with the condition of the CPU box, the box it came in was fairly beat up on the outside. Luckily the CPU had no damage to it and work fine. AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:-Stock heaksink.
Pros:-Cheaper than Intel.-Quad core 3.2GHz-Cool and fast. Comment:
This is my second AMD 955BE. It runs great, cool and fast. Very responsive. I'm running stock speed with an OCZ Vendetta 2 and it idle at 20'C. I've bought this for a budget build and it's fast. You can't get a better CPU for the value and price range with AMD. Highly recommended. |

Pros:This is extremely good value for the money. No lag, though I haven't tried anythigng too testing. Comment:
This is very good mid-range processor. I have been extremely happy with it. I have 16 GB of hyperx RAM running with it to make sure I can take full advantage of the Quad-Core Capabilities and it is awesome. Absolutely no complaints. |

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:ONLY 6MB L3 CACHE NOT 8MB, gets a little hot w/ stock HSF
Pros:fast,cheap,good for gaming Comment:
This is a great cpu for a budget build, its pretty fast at 3.2GHz good for gaming. The only problem is that it is advertised as having a 8mb L3 cache when it only has a 6mb L3 cache whats up with that? Another thing is that with the stock heatshink (which is actually a coolermaster) my temps get pretty high around 44-45 degrees idle and over 60 degrees on load. but with a aftermarket heatsink its a great cpu for gaming or multitasking. I would recommend it but I would buy a better heatsink. |

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:- None really
Pros:- Cheap- Great performance Comment:
I got this for a budget build. It was cheap enough and was a significant upgrade from my old build. I wasn't really expecting much from it, but it's far exceeded my expectations. I can play all modern games with pretty high settings on it, so if you're into that, this works.I mainly do video and image editing on the computer. I'm very happy with performance in regards to that. It really cut down on my encoding time by like 30%.Great performance for very low cost. Personally, I don't think the slight performance upgrade with the Intel products is worth the significant price difference. |

Comment:
For the cost you'd be challenging pressed for an equal. This factor is smoking fast and you can OC the daylights out of it if you so decide on. 4 Unlocked cores is the way to go. I was sworn to intel in my final couple of builds, but wanted to go less-high priced for this one. AMD has made me a BELIEVER. I've no troubles at all, and it runs particularly cool. NONE. It's amazing. |

three.2GHz to three.4GHz = go from a 7.1 to 7.4 Win7 Rating. Effortless to overclock by the CPU multi alone. none I was playing MOH, settings maxed out and running a virus scan at the very same time. No lag, No freezing, No Choppy audio. Unless your editing video or doing 3D rendering I don't see why you would will need a 6-core cpu. spec: ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb three.2GHz GeIL Value PLUS 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 PC1600WD Raptor 150GB 10000 RPM SATA 3.0GbPNY GTX470. Proc came in seeking extremely fairly and rapidly shipping None Purchased this proc to upgrade an aging program on the low cost. Did all my study (at lest I thought I did) and soon after ordering on a Tuesday and delivered on friday (awesome quick newegg shipping) the proc only shows at 800mhz in my old board. Did some a lot more research and DOH will need the newer revision of my board not just the newer bios to support this proc. So I talked to newegg on the net support practically begging to swap this out for a 945 non BE and due to their extreme awesomeness or just feeling pitty on me they took back this proc no fee and issued me store cradit so I could purchase the 945 w00t. |

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Nothing
Pros:Able to overclock 600Mhz on stock voltageLow temperatures Comment:
I have this coupled with the Gigabyte 870A-UD3 and cannot be happier with this build. The processor is able to be overclocked to 3.8GHz on STOCK VOLTAGE. Which, in my opinion - coming from a Q6600 - is incredible. Right now I have mine at 1.25v at 3.4GHz and am perfectly stable with temps never below 40C. Gflops of 42.5, which is better than my Q6600 overclocked getting 32. Can't wait for bulldozer! |

Great performance at a reasonable price. Didn't install itself When I initial installed this, the CPU fan was very loud. Immediately after the initial couple reboots, the fan backed off to a reasonable level and has been fine ever given that. |

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:- It is not supported in some old AM2 motherboards. (can only run at 800mhz)
Pros:- Good performance for the price- OC to 4ghz easily Comment:
This is a good CPU for people who wants to upgrade their old am2/am3 machine, but be aware that some of the old am2 motherboard won't support am3 CPU that's 125w such as this one. Also suitable for people to pair with a AM3+ motherboard and wait for the bulldozer. |

Cons:Stock fan noise is tolerable but ramped up on newer games.
Pros:Price, good gaming cpu, AMD promo free copy MW2 Comment:
Got this bundled with GA-870A-UD3 & AMD promo copy of MW2. Got this to run RIFT & Alice:MR on higher settings and it delivered that. I always use AMD this is my first Phenom II X4 quiet happy with it. For 4 core cpu vs Intel you can't beat the price as everyone here has already mentioned. Can really hear that stock fan ramp up running Alice: MR with PhysX set on. |

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Nothing!
Pros:PowerfulGreat bang for the buckEasy to overclock Comment:
This is the best CPU you can get for ~$100. Intel is slipping in the CPU market. The core i5 2500K is more powerful than this processor, and also costs much more. You get roughly 15% less power, for around 44% less cost. I think that's a fair compromise. |
built a system for a friend using this processor, i own first gen i7 and have done plenty with it. this AMDx4 is great price and i had it OC with the stock cooler in less then 2 mins. i ran prime 95 for about 18hours and found it was stable. i will be ordering the AM3 x6 for my next build to see if there is much of a difference or not.
