LITE-ON DVD Burner - Bulk Black SATA Model iHAS124-04

Low-cost. Quiet. Painless install. Works excellent for O/S installs and game installs. I have applied a number of of these optical drives for a number of diverse builds. Never ever had a problem with them until just the other day when my mother in law referred to as me and told me that she wasn't in a position to hear any audio from her burned CD-Rs. I thought she had to be performing anything incorrect, so I went over to her property and attempted it myself. She was correct; no audio. Checked all settings and anything checked out OK. Took her disks household and tried them on my wifes personal computer which has the exact same optical drive, and some factor, no audio. Tried them on my personal computer which has an ASUS drive in it and they worked fine. The CD-Rs have been TDK Certified Ultra's. I have utilized these drives for various builds with no any problems with the exception of the TDK CD-R's. I have applied them to burn ISO disks and created lots of audio CD's. Just be aware if you acquire this that there CD-R's out there that are not compatable with this drive for what ever reason.

Drive does what it's supposed to. No difficulties. Excellent OEM drive. A tiny noisy but it's bearable.

NewEgg is constantly good! I've used many Lite-On burners in the previous w/o full satisfaction but this certain model actually disappointed me. It stopped reading any disc soon after two months. Googled this model and found many others had related dilemma w/ neither fix nor warranty replacement from Lite-On. I couldn't get Lite-On to respond to my email either.

Purchased this to replace a dead Pioneer drive, it's a bit loud but can't complain considering its price after price matching it.

ม.99 delivered for a burner? Man oh man. At a single time I Payed 200 clams for a Cd burner that ran at 2X. This thing is good. It's all most of us want. It doesn't empty ash trays and recycle beer cans. Get at least two of these at this price.

Straightforward install ....... came bundled with one hundred dvd's Reads and writes fine Cd/Dvd. Significantly far more finnicky with Dvd-r's than my Hp Burner, it recognized them fine...currently created a handful of coasters, and no Lightscribe Not a undesirable deal if your on a budget ...was my 1st Lite-on

- Fast- Reputable- Works - None It does what it is supposed to and is backed by a excellent enterprise. It might have just been me but it seemed to install my games quicker as properly.

I've had this drive for about two years now, and its worked perfectly fine for me. Under no circumstances had any complications burning anything and its fairly rapid. Economical as effectively. When i bought the drive it was 26.99. It doesn't cook or clean. For your average user, this is perfect, and its highly low-cost, so why not decide to purchase one?

Extremely rapid burn instances. Thought that it would have came with a SATA Cable :( As lengthy as it last for a couple years I will be content. Pondering about ordering a second 1 soon.

Not a bad drive, especially when it's on sale for $27. It's not the quietest one around but who cares, it's not like you have to constantly listen to it. Does what it does well.

Looks very good. Applied the firmware update from LiteOn and the drive stopped recognizing CD or DVDs. Attempted different media ~ nothing. OS is Windows 7 Pro, 32-bit. Reloaded OS and the exact same difficulty. Tried in an additional machine (Windows 7, 64-bit). Same issue. A thing from the firmware update brick'd the drive. I also personal the IHAS 324 from LiteOn. No dilemma. Operates like a champ.

Quick. Low-cost. And wow is it light-weight. Initially SATA dvd drive I've purchased. Still have about 10+ ide drives, but the new MB I bought doesn't help that old stuff. :P Didn't come with a SATA cable, but I had extras so no-biggie. Worked fantastic, no drivers necessary. Win 7 recognized it very first boot. Its remarkable how significantly these factors have come down in price over the years. Think I may get a blu-ray burner subsequent time.

Just used this to install Windows 7 and a few applications, and I must say it's pretty good for what it is. I would have preferred that the disk tray had a little more plastic in it, as it feels that it would snap at any time, but for a cheap DVD drive, it works.

Very good overall performance although it was functional. Low cost. Ordered item Dec. 1 for new system create. System constructed Jan 1. A Plextor and this Lite-on installed. Just observed Lite-on writes CD-DVD's but will not read ANY CD-DVD. I believe DVD burners have two lazers- one for reading and one particular for writing. The 1 for reading ought to be defective in my unit. My first knowledge with Lite-on. Wish I had bought another brand. I will try for a RMA but most likely has been as well long.

Lastly had to kick my IDE burner to the curb with my latest upgrade. Incredibly satisfied with this drive...exceptional price and overall performance. None.
