Really amazing performance increase from my old IDE. I'm so glad I upgraded. I still can't find 24x media, but when I do, I will start a bootlegging business (just kidding). I removed my 3 IDE drives to put in this 1 SATA, and it is running great.

As the Terminator said, ''No problemo.'' This is a basic SATA drive that works exactly as advertised. I've installed three without a hitch. A very good value for the money.

Bought to upgrade from ide to sata- price was great- no sata cable though- got one free from a local shop. Fast and so far reliable. No software conflicts so far, no firmware to install. Too easy.

OEM. Comes with no software or SATA cable. CD tray is very loose and there is no driver on the Lite-on website for this model. Other than that it works great.

Works fine, but a bit noisy at times. For the price I cannot complain. So far all CD and DVD disks play ok, and burning with Nero works great.If you need two drives, one for copying disks to the second burner, I suggest you get both at the same time and have a matched pair. That way what ever you burn on on drive will work 100% on the other and visa versa.

Just used this to install Windows 7 and a few applications, and I must say it's pretty good for what it is. I would have preferred that the disk tray had a little more plastic in it, as it feels that it would snap at any time, but for a cheap DVD drive, it works.

For those softwares that require recognition of burner, this is not the ideal. My machine saw this as a generic dvd device and there is no firmware to try to update or remedy this. For burning where generic recognition is fine, this burner works very well.

i've had several liteon burners before but this one is undoubtly the noisiest one yet. don't know why but it is. still burns with no problems so if you don't mind the hum it's a pretty good buy.

I recently had to replace a CD DVD Burner Drive on my machine and this product was the answer to my problems! Runs great and reads CD's and DVD's with no prolem at all. Highly recomend this product!

Speed and capabilites.... All you need in a CD-Burner. Yeah it doesn't burn blue ray, but i have no need for that yet. so for the cost... well worth it.

I got this nit to replace a DVD rom drive on my friends Dell . I have purchased this unit in the past for myself and have had no problems with it at all. It would of been nice to have some software included in this unit (thus the 4 for features)However that was not a problem because it worked perfectly with the bundeled software on the Dell computer. Overall I would ave no problem buying this drive again. Quietand works great.
