Great Product
Comment:
Product works exactly as advertised. Quick assembly and they even include the screwdriver. Took 15 min from arrival at my door to get it up and running. Was able to recover data from an old IDE drive with no problem and for very little money. I won't hesitate to buy another one of these if or when the need arises.

A very good buy
Comment:
I did extensive research before buying this product and I am very pleased with what I have bought. The fan is the coolest part of it. I've put in a 1gig wd hard drive into it and it runs cool. I have read in the reviews that the enclosure is cramped, only slightly. There is a way to put the harddisk in. Do it the right way and there are no issues faced.

Very nice enclosure
Comment:
Simple to set up and operate. It's a good way to make use of extra hard drives laying around. I wasn't crazy about the choice of status lights on the front (Red and Blue) but that's a personal preference. It's otherwise a very attractive and functional drive.

Fantastic value
Comment:
I'm pretty shocked by this device. It came with cables for SATA, IDE, power, USB, driver CD. OS found it right away. The device is a high quality unit, and it took me all of 5 minutes to install a drive, plug it in and go. I had a bare bones IDE 7200 RPM drive lying around and it's now a cool USB external. I ordered two and honestly think it's one of the better values I've enjoyed. TDirect was fast and competent. Great product great company and I'm not affiliated with them! Best regards.

Good Product
Comment:
Works with All my old PATA drives, even my 1 and 2 gig drives to the 50 and 100 gigs. haven't used it with SATA yet. When they say it's a tight fit, they mean it. Counld have made it a little longer for easier fit.

enclosure design I was looking for
Comment:
Installing the hard drive couldn't be easier. No instructions are really required. That's good, because the broken English instruction sheet included with the enclosure was fun to read, but useless as instructions. A screwdriver was included in the box. The one who without the circular radiation window is the backplane. hahahahahah

Great Buy
Comment:
The enclosure was a breeze to take apart and re-assemble. I put a 1.5TB hard drive into the case & I wanted to make sure it ran cool, so I bought this model with the fan. Since I was going to be using it as support for my WD Media Player, I'd been worried about fan noise, but it's imperceptible. I bought two and both are wisper quite.

Nice enclosure, not perfect.
Comment:
Purchased this for my Hitachi 1tb. The fan does a great job of keeping it cool. Completely unable to get e-sata connection to work. Haven't been able to figure out which end of the hardware is causing the issue. USB mode works great but defeats the purpose of having E-sata equipment. The e-sata connector in the case is poorly located and it would have been nice if the IDE cable was removable. Case is very sturdy and does the job well. You will not have a overheated drive in this case!

Good product

I bought this one last month, Works great..I like it. Although the space inside is a bit tight, you need the screw driver to open the cap everytime I want to change a different HD. IF it come with the lock button instead of the bolts then it would be a very great product to buy.

Works like a charm!
Comment:
I bought this for my Hitachi 1TB hard drive that I dismantled from a Apple Time Capsule because of power management failure. Have used it almost on a daily basis and a couple of times had it in for more than 24 hrs at a time. Have had no issues. Power conservation feature that turns the drive off when not in use will be a very useful feature.

Works as advertised!!!

I got the enclosure in 3 days. Put a 750 GB sata drive in it and windows 7 recognized it right away and I performed my first backup perfectly. Great product for the money, but that's what TigerDirect is all about!!

Good buy
Comment:
Purchased two. Installation of HD's was fast and a no-brainer. Wish they would have supplied an eSATA cable, but that's workable. Fan moves a lot of air.

One of the BEST exterior hard drive cases!
Comment:
This Sabrent EC-UEIS7 hard drive enclosure is one of the best external hard drive cases that I've ever purchased. It's rock solid, well-designed, plenty of venting, aluminum material including a fan that can easily be replaced later down the line. I'm enjoying the e-SATA connection ripping at 3 GBs per second. While the unit does not come with an external e-SATA cable, it does come with a USB chord. It took me about 5 minutes to install my drive into the case. It's bit of a tight fit, but my 3.5 terabyte drive went in fine. No problems. I use to be hooked on Venus' DS3 external drive cases (still a super buy). But I can honestly say that this Sabrent model is my favorite. And at a great price too!

Good for IDE drives
Comment:
Bought two for IDE drives out of my old desktop. Works great, easy to set up, pretty lights. Only thing is I can't write to the two drives - but that's not Sabrent's fault. TigerD is great to work with.

Great Product, Great Price
Comment:
I bought two of these a year ago and from the first time I hooked them up until now I have had absolutely no problems. The hard drives stay cooler than in my PC. It is easy to setup but do READ the instructions so you can do it right the first time. I'd recommend this to anyone using external hard drives and the eSATA is so much better than USB.

Great product and great price
Comment:
Yeah, directions are a laugher but just first look everything over before you begin so you know what all screws, etc are for and then it's a 10-15 minute task and you are up and running. A bit noisy, I have in cabinet with PC and hoped fan would assist in air movement there but the fan doesn't help any in that respect. (I just keep cabinet doors open when using the PC and will add a cabinet fan soon) Product is so inexpensive, so useful, love it!

Best utility enclosure
Comment:
This enclosure is very versitile. I liked it enough to buy a second one to replace an older failing IDE enclosure. I like that it accepts PATA or SATA drives. Great tool to access old PC drive during a OS restore or upgrade. I like that it connects to either a USB or eSATA. I like that it was under $30. I didn't like that a eSATA cable had to be purchased seperately. Definitely recommended.
