This SATA DVD is extremely fast, its almost unreal. Just note that this drive does not come with a SATA cable.

This thing will play CD's but thats it! Won't play videos or record. Thats what you get for $30! Pay a little more and get some quality!

This is the second LITE - ON burner I have owned and for the money you can't beat it. This one is upgrade for SL burner that I had last. We used the last one until it didn't work anymore, definitely got my moneys worth out or it.

Doesn't come with its own cables, but that is expected. Works perfectly out of box as soon as you plug it up. Reads and writes fast. Great buy for the cost.

24X DVD is so much faster and more efficient than a 16x. I almost put in my old DVD player into my new computer for ease and cost. SO GLAD I DIDN'T. Great DVD player. Easy installation, great quality, and you won't believe how much faster things get installed on your computer.

Received item only 1 week ago. Only disappointment was Lite-On came with no software.

Plug it in and it's ready. Device was found immediately, did not need a cd to install drivers. And as always service is impeccable.

Lite on is a good product, owned a couple dozen IDE drives, this is the first SATA and they all perform as advertised.

I never wear them out. I just get faster ones. I think they may have hit the top speed with these, seeing Blue-Ray is finally going main stream in an affordable way, (sort of.)

I have bought 7 of these so far in the last two years and after burning around 30 LS disks they start swirling on the disk instead of writing the image it should. The warranty yes is a year, but you half to send it back to the company. This requires you to pay over 12.00 shipping, to get it to them. Yes they will send you one back, but who likes to pay for shipping every 30 LS labels. The disk burner never breaks down, so if you are not a LS label person your ok.

what else is there it is a great dvd burner Sata connection allows the information to be passed fast. great value. just plug and go. it is oem just comes in a plastic package no cables.

Great DVD drive. it has performed flawlessly. the only problem (and it is a VERY minor one) is that it can be a little loud. otherwise, it is very good value, and performs well! Five Stars

This is all I need in my PC. I use it for installing programs and stuff. Don't really use optical drives much nowadays.

Replaced ide dvd drive with sata dvd drive. Had to use adapter to make power connections but no problem for computer to detect drive and auto load drivers. Works great!
